1. open your window little and you will close your door. air presure inside car...
2. box, it is small agree , but biger in OPC
3. heating, agree, same thing in OPC
4. throtle , much batter respons in OPC
5. stering , agree :)
Hope you know there is Storage under the passenger seat , This time a year its a good idea to use the Aircon helps demist the windows super quick, If you want more Throttle Response get a DTUK pedal Box.

If your bothered about the heating, maybe a coolant flush and fresh coolant would help it out.
With heating I changed thermostat on my sxi, the throttle response can be amended using a box , but the steering can’t be changed as I think most corsas use and electric motor to Power the steering rather than fluid
Think you might need to do a few things, My vxr heats up within a few minutes, It can be really icy and I’ll start the car within 5-10 mins it’s all melted and really hot inside the car as for throttle response you probably need something done as again my throttle response is instant.
-Doors TRUE (however if the other door or a window is open the close very easily)
-Glove Box TRUE (they tend to break easily as well)
-Heating is probably thermostat "failure"
-Throttle Response, buy a pedal box (I have one, easy to install and performs better. Car in general feels more aggressive)
-Steering is definitely not light in a corsa vxr. Check you steering rack components (bushes etc) for wear.
I just picked up the Orange supra and black Charger, i saw the Grey Skyline too but left it. If its that rare im going back to get it
Another brilliant vid mate as always !, nothing wrong with the doors on your car my mates corsa D is the same and ive got a new corsa E and they are the same very very heavy and you need to give them abit of a push/pull to close properly. The glovebox, because the car was designed by Opel (or something like that) when switching the cars to right hand drive for uk they never moved the fusebox over to the right for UK cars so the fusebox remains near the glovebox for UK cars making the glovebox tiny for UK cars. (same for Corsa E). Lastly the heating/warming up time, ive heard alot of people had complaints about this and overall it is just the way the car is with the ventilation placement and equipment etc, on older cars it could benefit from a heater matrix/system flush out and clean or heater matrix replacement but as a whole it is just the car and thats why with Corsa E they come with heated front and rear screens and standard across the entire range . As for the other 2 they are just the way the car is i think haha. Keep up the amazing vids!
Change thermostat mate.Head gasket on way out if dont fix it. My vxr only takes 2min max in this cold. And get better tyes on car
Head gasket wont go it sounds like thermostat is a tiny bit open which is why it take so long to warm it's prob a bit heavier on the fuel too because of that. Sure these have progressive steering faster you go more they firm up? And for your piston 4 it's the injectors that don't fuel enough on a crap tune that lean out and melt the cast piston. Any car you buy will have problems just Google the engines first and do sum research as I know this car will be going.

@@youtubedork9564 matters which way, sum seize open so it never warms up just uses more fuel and crap heat from heater. sum seize closed heats up fast can't cool engine sumthing has to give way either header tank/radiator then warps head then gasket fails.
I feel you there my Corsa takes the absolute piss to warm up as well.

I don't think these are problems mate.doors? Of course they are heavy.Try doors from 5 door corsa they are very light.Response? Remap kinda make it better or Sprint booster or even take it off..The others are typical Opel.
8:00 You probably already know this but jusssst incase you don't... I believe the car has a nice tray under the passenger seat with a half decent amount of space to stash stuff. But I'm not sure if its in the VXR because I know it from a none VXR Corsa the same model
I am experiencing the same problem with closing doors. I have noticed it happens only when the windows are shut down. Try to slightly open the window and close the door! The problem caused by the air preasure it has no way to escape.
I feel you on the heating, my limited edition corsa takes the piss as well to heat up
Heating takes ages in my mate. However, if you put Esso Premium Fuel (higher octane) for some reason the heating seems to work within a few minutes.
Drove a 08 vxr in argen blue yesterday, 220 bhp I think pop and bangs, decat custom exhaust, intake and was lot of fun to drive
I had my Corsa VXR for 7 months and sold it for two reasons like you said 1) the steering feel was numb as hell and 2) the throttle response and turbo lag made for some annoying junction exits, especially if there was a car coming quickly from the other direction.

Some very good points there Jesse, my corsa d 2010 is the same generation as yours and it has the exact same issues. Apart from those things it’s a sick car
I had about 20 of the 1/18 scale fast and furious cars years ago, must be going back at least 8 years. I sold them all for a small fortune on eBay - can't believe Asda are selling them now! I have every one of the popular cars all on display in my front room. Loved them.

Have a look at your pollen filter? It could be blocked. I changed mine and it’s transformed the heating.
I have the same problem with the doors too (to a non VXR one). I think the doorlocks mechanisms messing up after time with the auto-locking activated. Try put some new ones if you find them cheap to see if it will fix the problem.
Furthermore, my steering is the opposite from lite, probably matching to your previous SRi one.
May need a new thermostat because the heating is all dependent on what temperature your coolant is at.
Jesse your heating goes by the temperature of your car and the engine takes a while to heat up which means the heating will be as hot as your engine gets it does it the same with mine
Maybe a faulty heater matrix if it takes 15 mins to get your heater to work quickly
Just so you know Jesse, might have to extend the wires for the break light in the spoiler when installing it as the standard spoiler ones aren't long enough

my steering is also the same, love it around town but it’s a pain on long motorway drives
If you change door seals and door locks 🔐 ,,
The doors will be close properly .
I have same problem.
The steering being light is because Corsa's have electric power steering instead of PAS pumps.
Talking about doors,try closing doors on Astra j gtc big aeroplane wings 🤣

How did you change headlights to LED? Thought you couldn’t do it on corsas. 17 plates don’t even have LED and possibly 18plates Aswel. Only daytime LED
My 65 reg Corsa vxr has LED lights, the normal corsas don't however.
They’re just mtec bulbs mate
Jesse Collingham you sure it’s allowed? Apparently something to do with the reflectors will dazzle others and won’t pass MOT. Why wouldn’t they be on 18plates?
My corsa E takes awhile to warm up also, my old 2004 fiesta didn’t take as long even in the winter. And most Vauxhall’s have electronic power steering that’s meant to stiffen depending on your speed to improve stability I know my E does and old corsa C had electronic power steering though the steering was lighter when turning left in the corsa C, was only a temporary car because I hated it so didn’t me that much.
The heating will take a while in all cars cos you have to wait for the engine to get a higher temperature,as for clearing windscreen in morning try putting the heating on circulation in car only as that hears the air in car not from outside.
Try having your heater matrix flushed as there's a alloy radiator under dash that can rott and block up a bit
My vxr have brilliant throttle response.
Probably you have some problem with acceleration pedal.
My Astra SRi takes about that time to heat up and I’ve just got a warning light, changing the thermostat and coolant temp sensor soon which should fix the issue :) maybe yours is on it’s way out too?
I have a astra h. The heating takes forever to warm up. Defrosting the windscreen takes far to long

I agree with point 1 and 2, but for my OPC my throttle response and steering is perfect response and sometimes my A/C heats up too quickly oddly

Those 5 are literally the exactly same annoying things about my SRi. The throttle response is seriously bad
I used to collect model cars when I was a kid, I have the r34 skyline, the green eclipse and the supra however these aren’t part of that collection as I bought them over 10 years ago

And i have been wanting a corsa vxr for the past year, love the sporty look on a vxr
Its between a corsa vxr and a ford fiesta st, looking for your opinion jesse on what i should look out for.
I keep seeing a lot things about the 4th piston going, and to get it forged asap on the corsa, just wanna make sure i make the right decision between them both, OR if you recommend something more reliable, i aint in no rush, cheers!

Jesse my 07 Arden blue is the same , upgraded pre-cat which helps throttle response & high opt fuel , doors are clunky and heating systems are not great on the corsas

the heating might be your car... my old design takes ages, but my vxr is boiling in like 5 mins, like wish i could show you how fast it gets hot. could be the electric filament that under the fan... heard theres some issues with them
With the heating issue it might be a problem with your radiator as I had the same problem with my old astra and when I changed the radiator it was mint

Doors in corsas are very light and tiny I had the same with my corsa black edition and it'll take longer to warm up as its a bigger engine
The way the engine is built you're never gonna get the response of a CTR unit. But you have torque it can only dream of. Win some lose some.

My 09 vxr is same doors dont shut proper need put force behind it to shut it and heaters are a joke.. does your vxr over rev when your going from first to second?
Why don't you try and get your throttle body realignment that might help with your throttle response I was told as they are an electric throttle body sometimes they go out alignment and needs to be readjusted
The heating on my Corsa D takes forever too, really annoying in Winter
Also my doors are heavy too, people think they don’t need to slam them shut but you do 😂

I know what you mean about the doors I have the 13 plate corsa and the door are ridiculously heavy for such a small car
They sell the Fast and Furious cars down at Smyths toy shop in Wigan. I got my little lad the orange supra the other week. Its full metal and looks the same size. Dont know if they are from the same series. But they had a few different ones in 👍🏻

I never liked the headlights on the Corsa D. The beam throw is dreadful. I would have thought the VXR would have had the AFL lights.
you need to do a gearbox oil change like to see a good How too.
Corsa vxr drivers tend to be recreational drug users in ten year old examples that really want a evo mitsubishi or skyline and new or nearly vxr guys wish they had a focus rs

The glovebox is small because normal, a say it again NORMAL cars are left side steeringwheel ones and Corsa OPC is that normal car.
Cars which are 3 door do have heavy doors as there bigger and i see what you mean about throttle it like that with the astras

The seat trim coming loose on the sides, rear view mirror is too floppy, volume on the steering wheel rubber breaks. Trim outside on the car comes loose in warm climates. Strange about your steering, my opc's steering is quite heavy and has good feel

There not a bad car ive got a E vxr. Bit crunchy on the gearbox but fun to drive
My Zafira 2004 2.0 dti will only warm up after driving 3 miles, if I leave idling will never warm up :)
