Venture of Tonalamatl was actually the final piece of the 2nd Genshin Impact concert in Germany and the conductor was almost dancing with all the vibes and the musicians were just vibing the whole time it was a BLAST
honestly it's so underestimated, it hits me like it's Natlan's people battle theme (while Anthem of Savannah is our theme in Natlan), like you can feel their heat and determination to fight for the nation over and over again, tirelessly
I’m pretty sure some people theorize photon of fluctuation is suppose to be like “the teyvat theme/motif”. Which is why it’s present in so many tracks except for places like enkonomiya (I think?).
Venture of Tonalamatl was performed at the Genshin concert this year!! I can't wait till an official video drops, so far I watched some audience recordings and IT SLAAAAPPED
I can't believe they played it in ENCORE! Last year the encore were 3 calm Fontaine over world pieces, I really didn't expect a full fledged BATTLE THEME would be there!
fun fact: "Natlan motive" that you were taling about at 0:56 is actually a leitmotif that I call Photon of Fluctuation leitmotif. It appears at the combat side of genshin ost, it originates in the titular song ("Photon of Fluctuation"). The leitmotif persists through all nations, and I think that really neat :)
Natlan OST especially Anthem of Savannah is one of my overworld battle theme of Genshin so far. One of the major reason for it is the vocal part where the singer telling the story of the heroes and it just gives me goosebump whenever I listen to that part. I won't go further from here to avoid giving any spoiler though. Also, thanks a lot of covering Natlan battle BGM.
The second battle OST sounds friendlier than it should be because it is. Most enemies are good guys but can't hold their urge to have a spar. So, yeah, it's threatening, but it's not a big deal. Lightning Racing (24:42) is an OST from a limited event and Chasing the Rainbow (27:12) is from a time-trial challenge (specifically People of the Springs, Mualani's tribe). So, neither actually Battle OSTs.
Only you who can make me appreciate drums more. Hahahahaha Natlan OSTs has been so so gooooood! Also the last one song isn't about Kinich actually. It's a track that's playing when you ride the phlogiston "fire channel" that looks like rainbow road on Nintendo Mario's racing game. But in Genshin instead of riding a vehicle, you're swimming in that rainbow road as a Koholosaur. It's one of the cutest thing ever.
Chasing the rainbow is criminally underused. It's a challenge song that only appears in like 4 places even though similar challenges exist that just have normal music.
Halo was my favorite series for the longest time, as well. There's some music in the newest subregion Ochkanatlan that sounds very Halo, as well. When they release the album versions of that music I'll try to remember to make some recommendations.
Realm of ethereal musk is the heaviest song I've ever heard in my life. Makes me tear up and gives me goosebumps all over, it's crazy. Only in Genshin you can have doom music and miss sparkles at the same time, lol
Found fontain a bit bland up untill the end of the archon quest with Sumeru being my alltime favorite at the time I entered Fontaine. Natlan is by far my favorite region in all aspects atm. TBF I also got back into the gmae shortly before Natlan came out and wenth through inazuma, Sumeru and Fontaine purely focused on the archon quests. Maybe if I explored more or experienced the region more it would be more fun but atm Natlan is the best for me when it comes to story, enviorment, movement, combat, everythign realy. But hey, Fontian isn't bad at all. The only one that was a bit of a snoozer for me was inazuma archon. Cant fully rememeber 1.0 so cant realy comment on those.
@@killer30556 very understandable, and like I always say, everyone can like what they want, and yeah, Sumeru was good too, and Natlan is still one of my faves, just not my Nr.1, but it's close. And Inazuma, yeah I agree
The thing is... it's really hard to hear the stuff you mention when you talk over it... if you'd just pause, said your thoughts and rewound it would make a much better watching experience, just my two cents of critique, otherwise great job. Also you should check some drummers cause even though you say you're a drummer you have quite a narrow view on what a good drummer can do. I'd recommend checking some drumeo vids or El Estepario Siberiano.
Im pretty sure he has already heard most of it in game. And u r here for commentary. If u want to listen to the tracks itself go listen to them first on ur own time 🤨.

Venture of Tonalamatl changed me to my core. Really hard to be at this point but it really do be one of my favorite battle themes of this game 👏🏻👏🏻

“A dance in fire” has to be my favorite, it’s so fun and the vocals are so beautiful

Photon of Fluctuation has to be their favorite motif to callback to
it really became their iconic theme now. alongside the mondstadt ost.

I cant wait for the concert. Last year's was fucking FIRE 🔥🔥🔥

yeahh and it's basically "Teyvat Leitmotif" now lmao
Yeah they keep repeating that motive in various regions
Maybe because its "our motif" photon(traveler), fluctuations (Battle/disturb the flow in teyvat)
It goes back even further, in HI3 one of the stage tracks is called "Evo" which has that entire motif except the last note

ah yes, that's traveller's leitmotif "photon of fluctuation"

XD the only region where I purposefully go around map picking a fight
Wait till this man hears the 5.3 weekly boss theme.

That last track... Genshin Kart anyone
I can't wait to see you play through Natlan!! Please get to it soon!
Yappin over the tastiest trumpet solo this decade lol but it’s what I come to you for
You my good sir, are a awesome commentator!! The energy in your personality is so contagious and uplifting! Love it! 😃🤜🤛
loved the reaction!
The Natlan battle themes are honestly some of my favorites next to Sumeru's battle themes 🔥
the chasing the rainbow feels like a pokemon battle
I LOOOOOOVE that in Natlan OST there's a lot of themes with vocals
Realm of ethereal musk is the heaviest song I've ever heard in my life. Makes me tear up and gives me goosebumps all over, it's crazy. Only in Genshin you can have doom music and miss sparkles at the same time, lol
13:02 it gives me Cowboy Bebop vibes every time I hear that part =)
Haha! Every time I hear that battle theme I go "It's Cowboy Bebop time!"
Natlan is just Banger ❤
here we go boy
Battle music starts:
Traveller, you have to battle the enemies, not dance with them 😮 ♪ ♪ xd
Flower Feather clan background themes are great too 🤠
CINEMA
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Do you know when u will stream the archon quests?
Would you react to the new tribe ost next time
Natlan may not be my favourite nation in terms of Story (I have a massive Fontaine bias, lol) but the Music in Natlan slaps like Idk what
yeah their music have enegetic vibe makes you wanna dance lol
understanble, Fontaine finale is a big emotional punch.
