    I can't say for certain, but I think boulder mountain (~9:35) could be the throat of an extinct volcano and the white boulders you see are ash flow deposits. P.S. I'm really glad to have found your videos. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.

    and I know right where you are at that pond in the beginning. I had to survey ALL the campsites and tear down the abundance of fire rings there. Ahoy!

    Friendly advice: I find careeners too light to easily throw of a branch. I use a rock in an old wool sock. Just tie a good knot on the sock and, presto! You will also want to hang the bag farther away from the trunk of the tree---bears can climb!

    Awesome.... when I see deer (Mule Deer for me so far on different trails) and they just stand there and look at me... I tell them "it's ok" too ;) LOL I am really glad I came across your channel!!! Very inspiring.

    the mixed dryed frouts and trail mixs and stuff like that can be got at the dollar tree the AT over here is more like thouse hard to get to peaks you have on a few of your videos but most of the trails is like that with very few flat spots

    The bones may have been from a young California Mule Deer. I have not seen it yet, did you ever use the bear canister?

      The Mountain House meals are one or 2 servings. During the day I like to munch on a mix of dates and dried apricots and almonds. I always love a good hot bowl of Ramen noodles. And goodness, no, the Sierras are UP DOWN UP DOWN.

    Just a question. How are you funding your adventures? Because i am planning to do the thru hike of the pct, but will have to quit my job. I have no idea what to do when i come back. Just wondering how you do it.

    Hey Landmark...
    William Dotson and I are going to hike from Tahoe to Whitney starting on July 28th. I've done the JMT twice so I know that section really well, but I've never hiked the section between Tahoe and Tuolumne Meadows. I've been watching your videos to get an idea of the terrain and where you camped. I was wondering if you could give us some tips? Is there any certain places you would have rather camped at other than any camps you chose? There's nothing worse than settling for a camp and waking up the next day and hiking 2 more miles to find an awesome camp site you could have made it to. Please help with any tips you have... thanks!!!

    did you take a bath, every morning before resume hiking?

    • @LandmarkAdventures
      @LandmarkAdventures  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My rule is to bathe at night. I clean myself as best I can before putting on my sleeping wear and getting into my sleeping bag. I consider those a sacred and clean place. Plus it adds lifetime to your bag.
