@FerdinandFranziska According to Queenie Watts' wikipedia page the song is "Goodbye Dolly Grey". Except the most common versions of that song sound nothing like it, and the lyrics are different- there is a version by "Albert" on youtube that sounds somewhat like it though. Let me know if you have any luck Also it's not Minnie the Moocher, but that suggestion did introduce me to Cab Calloway which I'm very grateful for
What is it with Michael Caine & pubs? Seems to me every one he goes in, there's an almighty lung up. & not only London boozers. It was the same result up Newcastle in Get Carter. If he ever walks in my local, I'm out the back door before he's ordered a drink
Then there's another of his films, Last Orders about mates meeting up in the pub. There isn't a fight, not that I can remember...his character has just croaked though....
Yea but that was a small fortune in 66,the council house I was brought up in was 3 bedrooms, 2 massive gardens and in 1975 the rent was £2 a week, probably multiply that now by 50 =£100 a week, that flat would have been top notch, all mod cons back then..... Can you imagine wot a similar place in Central London would cost nowadays....... Scary 😳
I live in London atm, and yup you are correct. The prices are insane. I knew someone who was sharing a flat with his mates in Baker St back in 2003. The room wasn't too much bigger than a shed and he said he was pay ing £900 for it. That was then. I don't even want to think about what it would be now😱
That score by jazz master Sonny Rollins. SO good.
This guy has varied taste in women, to put it mildly. Going from Jane Asher to Shelly Winters!
How is it Shelly collects toys from 'playschool'. Her acting is awful.
David Bearnson Like moving from prime steak, to old scragg
Lorraine Grant I find her Thespian talent acceptable here. At other times, she is just great.
Shelley Winters smother Michael Caine flat when she lay fat and heavy on top of him on the sofa..
She’s in lovely condition 😂
She’s in beautiful condition...🤣🤣
That always makes me laugh out loud too everytime!
@@linldiane9393 😂🤣🤣
'I said to meself Alfie, she's as human as you', but how dare he
Best pub fight ever!
Jane so cute when sleep
shes in lovely condition
well it' clear Alfie is a lover and not a fighter, lol
He didn't like it that she had other interests than himself.

Actually she plays "goodbye dolly grey" second. I was interested in the first song- the one about Sally
Apologies
Tide and Ajax
@HodgerMccodger I think the song is: 'Minnie The Moocher', could be wrong.
Thanks for putting this up.
Does anybody know the song that the band are playing during the scene in the club?
0:32 to 1:40 Somebody please explain this scene. I don't get it.

俳優はマイケル・ケインです。

In the pub there are 2 gay men. I'm not gay I'm straight.
Be careful m8. They'll be calling you homophobic if you don't take deliveries at the back door. I'm straight aswell. BUT BOLLOCKS TO THEM
