Coureurs de jupons !!!! Quel vieux terme utilisé. En 1964, la Beatlemania battait son plein, Paul avait à peine 22 ans et le monde à ses pieds. Votre jugement est tellement sévère et vieux jeu !
I agree. Sage of quay has a podcast on his blog or channel by supernatural Beatles, called what happened to jane. I didn't realize that jane may have been replaced until I saw the podcast.
Jane's natural bright red yellow hair had faded by her age 37 here, natural redheads don't turn grey, they get white hair but many turn dirty blonde or light brown before this.
Yes, it doesn't sound like it's necessarily a compliment does it :) Mind you, it was coupled with 'sometimes inspired' which suggests that being described as competent was, at least in the eyes of whichever critic/fellow actor said it, genuine praise.
I remember Jane and Peter very young as unfortunate brother and sister in the early 60s tv show Robin Hood with Richard Green. Charming even ss a child.
Jane has said in interviews that she will never write an autobiography. It's not just because of personal reasons - like the fact that she is a rather private person - but has also stated it's partly due to her lack of clear memories from her younger days. This is not helped by the fact she didn't keep a diary. Overall, there wouldn't be much detail, only vague descriptions. I am sure this would be true for many people if they were to write a book about their life, particularly if they were in their seventies.

I don't see anything wrong with him myself, but in any case bear in mind that things like his clothes and hairstyle may have been the choice of the production team rather than his. I've never worked in TV but I don't suppose anyone walks onto set in whatever they happened to pick out of the wardrobe that day and asks "On in five are we? Will this do?" :)
STV gave him his own chat show - _Meet Paul Coia_ - three years before this and he was a university radio jock before that (well before becoming the first voice of C4), so clearly somebody thought he had something!
I was a Jane Asher fan in the 60's. She is such a lovely lady and I am still a fan.
She’s so lovely
Paul McCartney obviously thought so, too.
She has always come across as a very classy woman. Paul was a womanizer so she did the right thing in moving on from him. She deserved better.

Just like Billy geingvthe replacement for Paul this Jane doesn't look like the Jane of the 60s

She too bright to have the 70's and 80's of her life stained by the excessive drugs. Someone she knew would know all about.

She's been called "competent" and "inspired"..!
I should be so lucky!
"He's been called 'adequate' and 'not entirely forgettable'"
she‘s sosososososo cute and lovely.
Jane was in her first film at age 5 not 6.
I've always loved Jane! She has always been a classy and courteous lady! Beautiful and wonderful as well.
She was too intelligent, classy, and graceful for Paul McCartney.
So true.
A very extensive interview. Well at least she's competent. 😊

The older we get the better we used to be.
I often wondered where my obsession of being stuck in a lift with Jessica Chastain & Bryce Dallas Howard came from - now I remember!
I loved Paul Coia and I love the Scottish accent!
Me too! Scottish accents are the best! 😊
First voice on Channel 4.
Dreamy
Has she written a book about herself?

The unquestioned assumption that pregnant = stop work now is a bit of a gobsmack 40 years on
Wow native 4:3!
And I'm guessing it has been upscaled; I've never seen video from the early '80s look so sharp!
@petergivenbless900 lol..we had high quality cameras in the 80's.

Incredible that Paul McCartney lost her and ended up married to a trollop who was hairier than he was.
I agree ysgol3
James Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966 and was replaced by William (Billy). This is the truth no matter what!
@@justiceforjamespaulmccartney Oh yes, yes, of course he did.
Please tell me, when did some dreary loony replace the real you??
Between his sleeves and his hair, you know he has been a lifelong tool.
That's an odd criteria for tool status
Pretty normal look for the 80s lol

@@GhastlyCretinThat's what I thought. His hair and shirt are just very typical of the 80s.
