Ive been playing quite awhile now, but I still enjoy watching even your beginner lessons because youre such a great teacher and even a more intermediate/advanced person, can always learn something new by going back to the basics

OK Wow. That worked. Like, the first time. I had to completely re-think how to put my fingers on the fretboard, and it's going to involve re-learning some things. But it worked.

I don't have a problem with it but often use the Bb shape at the third fret or the F shape at the eight fret.

I have your full Udemy Package. Do fingers slim down? fat fingers? I know it is just something to overcome and sometimes fingers are touching adjacent strings or even the palm mutes the e string when trying to do a hammer on an open chord D chord E string. I am trying to analyze this and work it out.

Knuckle curl by itself wont work for me as fingers are too short. I really have to just my wrist around to the front.

My acoustic guitar's strings seem like they are far away from the neck and I have to apply too much pressure to get the right sound. Any tips? Should I buy and practice on an electric? Thanks

Take it to a luither and see if it can be set up to play better. I did and it was worth it. I also use light gauge strings.

In addition to curling the last knuckle, he said, "slow and steady wins the race." You'd be amazed at how much progress you make by going slow. That also applies to chord changes, scales, and ALL skills that you learn on guitar. SLOW DOWN! 🐢

One get into the classical guitar position by putting your guitar on the left knee. This position evens out the shoulders and relives tension in the shoulders, arms, wrist, and hands.

I taught for many years at a technical institute, and every once in awhile I'd have a student that was like you, and stated there was too much information that I was presenting that wasn't pertinent to the lesson being taught. I would normally at that point let that class know that from that point on I would only cover the required material. The funny part was that I would watch the overall grades for a class fall. See some students want to get as much information as they can on a subject, and what you call blah...blah... is actually information that will enhance or help some students. Maybe 90%, or 50%, or 10% of the students or even no one needed the extra information, but it was there for them if they did. What's blah....blah.... to you may be very useful to others.
