Thank you!
Ive been playing quite awhile now, but I still enjoy watching even your beginner lessons because youre such a great teacher and even a more intermediate/advanced person, can always learn something new by going back to the basics
OK Wow. That worked. Like, the first time. I had to completely re-think how to put my fingers on the fretboard, and it's going to involve re-learning some things. But it worked.
Not a beginner wished I'd tune u in earlier. Would've save time. Excellent teacher.
Thanks this helped
Oh yes the finger curling works! That’s what I was missing. Well now on to practicing 😅
Finally able to play it now! Thanks so much for this!
I always had troubles playing the C chord because I have small hands. Thank goodness for this video.
I like this new format, didn't watch before , too long .
👊🏻🙏
I like these shorter lessons. I have time to watch these, but not the 2 hour ones.
I don't have a problem with it but often use the Bb shape at the third fret or the F shape at the eight fret.
I have your full Udemy Package. Do fingers slim down? fat fingers? I know it is just something to overcome and sometimes fingers are touching adjacent strings or even the palm mutes the e string when trying to do a hammer on an open chord D chord E string. I am trying to analyze this and work it out.
I thought perhaps it was only me had trouble with the C chord!
What’s up with the countdown? I almost just skipped this
Knuckle curl by itself wont work for me as fingers are too short. I really have to just my wrist around to the front.
Thanks
Welcome👍🙏
I have more trouble with A. I struggle to get 3 fingers in the same fret. Any tips for that?
I have always used 1 finger and Barre the A. Been doing since day 1 actually
My acoustic guitar's strings seem like they are far away from the neck and I have to apply too much pressure to get the right sound. Any tips? Should I buy and practice on an electric? Thanks
Take it to a luither and see if it can be set up to play better. I did and it was worth it. I also use light gauge strings.
I have the same problem, but it's only gonna make you a stronger player !
If you really care get out down try and shave the saddle down and maybe the nut as well !
maybe you want to spend ten minutes to this video, where it's explained, before you ruin your guitar or waste money: th-cam.com/video/6DpLRfbv9ok/w-d-xo.html
In addition to curling the last knuckle, he said, "slow and steady wins the race." You'd be amazed at how much progress you make by going slow. That also applies to chord changes, scales, and ALL skills that you learn on guitar. SLOW DOWN! 🐢
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
One get into the classical guitar position by putting your guitar on the left knee. This position evens out the shoulders and relives tension in the shoulders, arms, wrist, and hands.
💪 thank you for the report!
@@yourguitarsage your welcome!
Yes that last knuckle! Laura’s Bateman has a great exercise for build finger dexterity for chords and so does Dr. LEVI HARRISON- the E-gamers and musician finger dexterity doctor.👈🏿👀👍🏾
💪💪💪
I have issues as i have Carpal Tunnel
You can do it. Watch this vid, friend. th-cam.com/video/XyIR8a52how/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Bbdojz5InNyhdtzt
My knuckle wont bend more than 45deg.
Same here.
Wa.
This simple technique of curling the fingers made a huge difference. Thank you.
Hello I'm 65 years old and retire always wanted to learn the guitar. Im still having trouble playing the C chord
That is OK, my friend! That is everybody at first. As long as you have the steps and do the practice you will get there. I’ve never seen that not to be true. Start here, my friend: yourguitarsage.com/path.
@@yourguitarsage thanks I have determination 😊like how y explain it. Hope y have more videos 😊going to check your website thanks ☺️
Sir please make vedios on buying guide of ukulele and electric guitar please 😊🙏🙂, and tutorials on ukulele please
GREAT LESSON: Now putting that marker on your fingertips is outstanding because you can use that technique tip as a reference point to practice especially with neuroscience music practice where you practice chords mentally and physically (proximity points)👈🏿👀🔥
WOW! YOU HAVE TO GO IN AND REALLY LISTEN BECAUSE HE REALLY BREAKS IT DOWN!👈🏿👀🔥
Thank you, Cole!

Saw this and panicked, but I think I might be okay lmao.
Too much bla...bla...
The blah blah is worth it for the amount of Info you get from Erich. Give him a chance and he will make you a better guitarist
That's right. I learned how to play guitar from his tutorials. Maybe you should give him a chance.
I taught for many years at a technical institute, and every once in awhile I'd have a student that was like you, and stated there was too much information that I was presenting that wasn't pertinent to the lesson being taught. I would normally at that point let that class know that from that point on I would only cover the required material. The funny part was that I would watch the overall grades for a class fall. See some students want to get as much information as they can on a subject, and what you call blah...blah... is actually information that will enhance or help some students. Maybe 90%, or 50%, or 10% of the students or even no one needed the extra information, but it was there for them if they did. What's blah....blah.... to you may be very useful to others.
