As somebody who recently had 2 under 2, I can’t tell you how hard I laughed when Matt truly believes that they could make it home by 5. I learned that lesson the hard way too 😂😂

When I drove from Florida to Arizona, for a travel nursing assignment, we hit the dessert mountains in Az. And I was awestruck at their beauty! I was nearing the time to stop for the night, and the sunset was unreal beauty. Haunting but also, I thought historic! How many travelers saw this on their way from the East to the west and saw this beauty, pretty much unchanged except for natures hands, I was humbled and knew that now a days, humans do not always stop and appreciate and enjoy the beauty that is here. Thank you, for admiring the mountains vistas!

You guys are such great parents! I love the fact that your not only protecting your children but your also doing it while giving us amazing content and doing what you guys love! So many family bloggers don’t know where the boundary is to where they’re going to far privacy wise for their kids and it causes them a traumatic childhood and future and you guys are doing everything to prevent that and that’s what I really love about you guys in particular!
I agree theyre doing it better, but its definitely still damaging. Imagine leaving the hotel with your parents and you're excited to go somewhere and they make you wait while they set up a camera in the hall. Then make you get back in the elevator after they setup a camera to reimagine the excitement, consistently talk to their phone screen instead of you. While it's great they're not showing their kids faces, they are exploiting their lives and making it about them. As a parent, my best time with my kids is when I'm not working and just with them...but as they say all the time they're always filming and working.
Matt’s idea to drive if the kids are good is what we always do, it’s hard but it gets us quicker to the destination and the baby nurses well too.
Did anyone notice when Matt and his brother were going in and out Matt called his brother Matt and his brother said hey brother or something

I like how they respect their kids privacies online. It's a good practice to have in the days of social media, where lots of things are easily accessible. They made the decision after their second child was born, and fully supportive of that 😃

OMGosh watching you guys reminds so much of when my boys were baby's close in age too. I think the only way I survived that was I was still young enough to keep up with the energy my 2 boys had. sleep felt like a reward for being a good mom 😂

I know that route well. I-8 from San Diego, crossing into AZ via Yuma. Then on to the split where you choose either Tucson or Pheonix. Normally about 7 hrs from SD to Pheonix. Love that drive.

They didn't do it by choice. They got called out on the dad podcast & a lot of hate for using them & exploiting them for views. He calls out all parents who do that. When he did them they stopped showing their kids
They definitely did do it by choice. Maybe hearing his point of view helped change their mind but they didn’t have to listen to him and take them out. Very many other TH-camrs don’t care or don’t agree and don’t take their kids out of their videos.
@@riverviewrescue1371 Of course they did it by choice. With all due respect, even if they made the choice because they were encouraged it can still be celebrated. People are allowed to make mistakes and do better. Do you know how many influencers get crap every day for exploitation of their kids? Most of those people still use the same content. I’m a big fan of people who acknowledge they can do something in a better way and then do it ❤

They are still in a lot of videos and being embarrassed & every other video title is 2 kids under 2 So still using them. Be better if completely took them off, never showed them in first place. Went back to old wholesome videos. When those kids are older can hear from millions of people the embarrassing stuff they did. Kids get bullied enough.

And then sharing all embarrassing stuff they do online. They never should've shown them or completely taken them off and not needed a stranger to have to tell parents they're being bad parents.

I've driven that part of the 8 a few times and it is a very pretty drive.
We just got back from a 4-5 hour road trip with our 2.5 yo and 9 month old and we were NOT doing that during the day, lol. We started at bedtime so they would be asleep. The 2 year old would have been manageable but the 9 month old would have screamed the whole way otherwise.
This was hilarious, chaotic and realistic as it gets all in one I have 5 and have only went 1 state over in too scared to go any further 😂

I'm finding the best way to travel with kids is in the early morning or during naptime specifically. I regularly travel 6 hours with my littles

It’s not a competition, Becky… that’s like saying “try adding two kids and a single parent.” Or “try 2 children and an aging parent with Alzheimer’s.” The fact is everyone has their type of struggle in life, it’s not a competition of who “struggles the most.” It’s just life. Relax.
Actually it’s not a competition but it is life & it’s ok to say what she wants. I WAS a single parent of 3 littles for a long time- and traveled 21 hr road trip for the holidays… so when Abby said she could not make it down to Matt with the two kids and stay alive- I literally thought WHAT would she do alone… it’s ok to think that….. they are very blessed & sometimes I think they make it a little harder & chaotic then it has to be. But they are good parents.

Omg!! I know that hotel! My husband and I love staying there every time we do a Disneyland trip!
It would be AWESOME if You Two could invest in an RV so travelling in the US would be a fantastic event!!! You'd have a refrigerator, stove, bathroom, beds, comfort ALL the time and it would be so much fun!!! The Kids would LOVE IT as they grow up!!! You could take turns driving and work on Your Videos and keep the laptop out while You are on the road. Plus no more hotel payments, no more money for quick fast snacks because You would pack them up before You left!!! You could also have Your bikes with You!!! Think about it!!! I grew up with a family who did this and at age 61 they are still some of my BEST MEMORIES ❤!!! Western Upstate NY Here

Traveling with little ones is hard. My hubby wouldn't be stressed about leaving times but then realises when we finally get on the road that we have run back into the newborns next feed time.
We love WOW! In the world as a podcast for kids. They might be a little young yet but our kiddo loved listening to them like 4-9

At the end of September, we drove from Tx to Cali (disneyland) with a 9yo,3yo & 6mon old. We drove straight to Az to stop at my dads house. Coming back from Cali we drove straight through.

Yup this is sooo accurate. I always add 4 hours to any long distance travel as 3 kids each stop is easily 40 minutes. 😂 And tablets in the car for win!!!
