Woodturning - The Whisky Goblet

- Hello everyone!
In this video, I turned a whisky goblet with zelkova wood and a copper pipe.
The form of the goblet was inspired by the design of Glencairn glass which is known as one of the best glasses for having whisky.
I used shellac for its glossy finish, but then I coated it with linseed oil because shellac can be liquefied by alcohol. I don't want to drink shellac even though it is not harmful.
Hope you guys enjoy this video!

Used your design, came out great thanks, great job
Ahhh.. a footed piece...thin walls..beautiful grain...what's not to love !...
Thank you...nice to see your work...🌿🌿🌿
Hi Woodboy! This was an awesome project! Both the project and your filmography were just superb!
I turned a Glencairn glass on my channel awhile back but, I think I may like yours more. For one, the copper accent on the base was a really nice touch, and secondly, it’s bigger than mine! Haha!
Great work!

I've made a couple of these in the past, but used resin on the inside because I wasn't sure about using other finishes. Have you found your method imparts any taste to the whiskey? Any leakage? Beautiful job, by the way. I may "borrow" your copper ring idea.
Lovely. Me favourite whisky as well!x
This is amazing! I need to learn to turn! Having a set of these in my collection would make every scotch taste better! Great job
Very nicely done. Thank you for sharing your video.

Well that was amazing
That's really nice.
great work
Мусье любит вискарь с вкусом лака или дров?
Should there be any concerns for seal coat toxicity?
Shellac is 100% food safe. The problem here is that shellac dissolves with alcohol and will be gone after two or three cups
This is great! What blank size did you start with for this? I'd like to make a batch of these, but I'm new to turning.
What are you using to seal the wood on the goblet?
👍👏👍👏👍👏🇸🇪
Sir kaam mile ga I am intrsted. Selari kiya hogi.
Ok, please tell me that someone has since explained to you that shellac is dissolved by alcohol? That is the absolute worst option for a finish of the inside of a whiskey glass that you could have possibly chosen
It’s more like a 1/2 pint goblet 😮 you’ll on the floor if you drank all that 😂 zinnzer what
원샷을 해야지....평소대로 합시다
뉘신지?
