This is one of the games I am looking forward to the most, I loved the first three 'new' kings bounty games so I am certainly looking forward to this one aswell. Kings bounty generally appeals more to me than something like Heroes 3 because I often don't like managing Cities and several different armies. Thanks for the video!

If you are seeking to quench some of the Heroes 3 thirst you should look into the Horn of the Abyss "DLC" for the original game. It's totally free if you own the original base game and brings ton of new features and modern display resolution for the game.

It explains how Sleem, Zerock, Reaper and Lina actually worked in Rage Chest by analogy - there are machines to fix with similar crude magic and a whole Mage Factory making such machines It has fights inside the items, the worlds in the items are actually worlds, you can walk inside them - since are quite vast - have a talk, collect something, not just fight Same five units in the main crew, only now you see every your man (or woman), and they have individual look Same fun
Never really played heros of M and M. I played KB since 91, back when me and my little brother would ride our bikes 1.5 miles to the local video store on Long Island, to rent it for2 days for $1.99. theres nothing like the OG Kings Bounty. LOVING your reviews. Keep em coming.
i've watched a lot of videos about KB2, and it is quite a departure from The Legend/Armored Princess (which i loved very much). At this point, i'm not convinced, the devs are quite new, also. I will need to see more if i am to buy this game

Well the original game was a mix of isometric RPG style - think Bladur's Gate and HoMM - so you're basically just swapping out the RPG style. (the map worked different than HoMM3) Back then, isometric was king, now Third person has become a bit more popular so I think it was a step in a direction to try and make it appeal to a wider audience.
Do you find that gameplay has been slowed down by the move to over-the-shoulder travel compared to the old isometric view click a destination? That would be a dealbreaker for me.
I didn't play enough of KB: Legends to tell, but I find the 3rd person view to fit a bit more "in-line" with today's games. I have a nostalgic sweet spot for Isometric though

What made it fun in the past (I played all of the versions from warrior princess on) was the murder-the-monsters, upgrade, repeat. It feels like they may have put themselves halfway between a RPG and a tactical combat game and it worries me that they will do both of them poorly. Oh well... i will leave it untouched in my steam account until full reviews are out and I can always refund it if the news is bad. :)
I played thousands of hours of HOM&M, especially 3. I already pre-ordered King's Bounty 2,. This game, Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Far Cry 6, should keep me quite busy until Crimson Desert releases. Once Crimson Desert releases, every other game will be put on hold, up until I have completed and had my fill of Crimson Desert. Then there's the official releases of Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, The Elder Scrolls 6, Two Worlds 3, Dragon Age 4 and Beyond Good & Evil 2, just to mention a few upcoming games high on my list. Anyway, there is no shortages of games, just a shortage of time to play them all.
This is far from the old games that I really love, played through both Legends and Armoured Princess just a few days ago. Will check this out, but this looks more like a mix of Fallen Enchantress and Witcher rather than Kings Bounty, not convinced yet, lets see.

This game is not like KB, and the modern era is crap that takes away some of what made them special. Disciples Liberation looks like a better successor to KB than one with its freaking name.
"Hey guys, look at the helmet of our commander, let's shoot our arrows more accurate!" "Ohmygooo... their commander has the mace that makes her soldiers strike harder!" Wait... what? That's not how weapon and armor works. That is REALLY strange...
Yep I am curious of this release, even though very different from excellent past modern King's Bounty instalments, still, my biggest problem that's gonna be the key part of the gameplay are battlefield sizes, seems cramped, way too small to lend itself to have some proper maneuvering. Would add at least 3 rows of hexes if not even 5 to it

The steam reviews really turned me down, but watching a few videos and now playing the game I have to say: They really did a good job on the game. (just goes to show that review bombs can make things seems different than it actually is) It's a clear upgrade from previous games and fits into 2021.
I had never heard of King's Bounty before a week ago, and looked into it once I saw it advertised. I love tactical games, and was first in line when Final Fantasy Tactics came out 23 years ago or so. I then looked on Steam, and noticed Legions was free, so I was playing that for the past week now, I like how it has the same daily quests you can redo for free units. I watched someone play this, and I have 2 questions. I learned from Legions, your dead units are in the Infirmary, and after a battle in Part 2, you can heal them on the Victory Screen. What if you forget, can you heal them afterwards in the menu at all, or are they gone? And, are there random mobs walking around on the world map like in MMOs, that you can grind on, and not just quest mobs only? I might play this until New World comes out, I have that reserved already on Amazon.
You can also grab the older King's Bounty games on GoG for a few dollars. Start with Armored Princess: Crossworlds (do the Orcs on the March campaign).
Some of the character models look a little rough though up close im not gonna lie...Graphics aint everything i know but its 2021...Maybe im just spoilt by Gears Tactics. That looks insane for a strategy game.
A lot of people on STEAM and elsewhere are saying do NOT buy this game at the price they are asking. The game is definitely NOT worth $50 - 60 bucks. Wait till on sale. Game is not a triple - A quality game.

hmn - this game is in my eyes for a while im just a bit in fear - the "rpg" aspect is 2 big for my taste - i mean dont get me wrong - rpg are great - but i dont wanna always play some for me a big + of games like heroes of might and magic - or kings bounty 1 - is the simple straight forward play - you see important/interessting spots easy on your map - im right now just not interestet - in run arround look in every house for chests or talk to every npc - for this - i played divinity 2 to much lately xD

No, just... NO. King Bounty 2 is NOT awesome and it will never be. They took King Bounty's name because it has more recognition and just tried AGAIN to make a new Ascension to the Throne, but because the original games were pretty bad and nobody even remember's them they choose to slap KB's name because they clearly don't want to make a new, well Kings Bounty game. This isn't KB.

There are lot of disappointing things in the game. Specially the movements. I would have preferred a Asymmetrical approach

It's good, especially the combat. But Legend/Crossworld are 100 times better.
