- Today is Lingua Friday!
And you know what that means- Oǹdó with Dondo. On this episode, we will be learning about three (3) basic Ondo greetings, which I actually use in most of my skits. And we will not just learn the greetings, but how to respond to them as well.
.
So join me, as I explain how to reach out to your Ondo friends and fam with these popular greetings:
1. '(A)Le o' which means 'Hello'
2. 'Ken tii?' which simply means 'How is/goes it?'
3. 'Se e jo?' which is a more urban Ondo expression meaning 'It's geling/Is all good?'
.
And, there you have it. What topics would you like to learn about in the Ondo language?
Share with me in the comments below, I'd love to hear about them.
.
Now grab a spot on the Gistas' sofa, sit back and enjoy, while laughing seriously.

Wo se egin. Jo ki iyato se ala ati se ejo?
Ee om ye mi, e t'ọpẹ o 🤗 Umm not too sure npa 'ṣe ala' but 'ṣe é jọ?' literally means 'ṣe dede ẹ pò pọ̀ mọ aa wọn' = is everything 'mixing' /fusing together nicely. In other words, is everything working out well.
Hope that helps. Du o díi mà😊 Please be sure to Share.
