    Hi, Claire. I got your merch mug from winning your contest, and I just want to let your viewers know that it is very high quality. I was really impressed! It's been through the dishwasher many times already, and it still looks just like new. Thanks again! You're a doll!

    Beautiful!! I like bubbles with flowers. I think they look like dew drops. I never coat my flowers first. I've had good luck with only getting "dew drop" bubbles, which I like anyway. I love the black and white color scheme you chose. You can get the tiny bits you called gypsum (I don't know what they are called, but I love them, too) on amazon by themselves, but every time I've seen them they were outrageously expensive. I'm glad I usually get a few in the packs of dried flowers I buy. Thanks so much for showing these! Happy Creating!!!

    The tiny little flowers in starburst shapes are Queen Anne's lace, I do love it too. I've been drying my own flowers and I have learned quite a lot of surprising things. I hope you found the fine silica sand, because I had started with the bead type and was SO sad when all of my beautiful flowers had horrible dents and looked like they had been shot with shotgun pellets!😂😭 So after runining all of my self grown daffodils, I finally found the fine sand 💖 Now I am able to keep my flowers lovely and smooth 😊 Next came the many misadventures of sealing the flowers with all sorts of products.... Oh my goodness!! How frustrating! After all the time and work, I found that the lovely flowers I had painstakingly clearcoated with many coats of expensive sealers... They turned clear in random spots!!! 😭😭😭 I was SO devistated! Since then, I am now prefilling my flower with resin if possible, otherwise I am just putting them into the resin WITHOUT any sealer. Some will get funky spots, and some don't. But one thing I've learned the hard way, is to avoid poking or moving the flowers once they're wet with resin because they tear SO easily and it's heartbreaking! You're coasters came out lovely, and I adore you're videos 💙 I hope some of my experiences will be helpful to you. Enjoy!

    Loving the coasters. The white flowers really pop on the black. In the past I tried adding the dried flowers using mod podge. I poured a layer & let it cure. Then addef the flowers with mod podge & let it dry before adding another layer. I found that some of the greenery ended up mottled like on one of yours. I had tried it that way as I was worried about the flowers moving in the liquid resin. Perhaps adding the flowers once the resin has thickened slightly might help - I'll give it a go

    I love these ones, I now try to coat mine as I get lost in other things and forget my resin so when I check the flowers have moved, sunk or gathered together

    I've not used dried flowers yet,but thinking if you let the first layer set. Then use a dab of I'd resin,light up they'll be set and not rise

      That sound like it could work yes xxx there always has to be a 2nd layer because they will always rise .... so a 2nd layer is always need ... surprised I had the patience 🤣🤣

    Hello dear, my name is Neha Balodia. I am also a resin artist. I had some questions regarding dried flowers. If you could help me? Actually when I used the white dried daisy flower and suddenly the colour changed into pale yellow. I am not able to understand why it has happened. It would be a great help if you could help me. Thank you so much!

    Hi Claire, i have done something similar, and the flower just died and the colors of the real plants turns brown after somedays... Do you face this issue as well?

    • @ClairesCraftyCorner
      @ClairesCraftyCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heyyyy Jenn ... flowers need to be 100% dry before putting in resin or they will go brown .. also .. I have since been told that dried flowers can bruise easily so you have to be really gentle. The last reason would be that they got burned by the resin in a deep pour .. sometimes the resin can heat up real quick and burn them x

  • @tvcio6331
    @tvcio6331 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wait about an hour then place the flowers on the tacky resin, use tweezers to pick them up so they don’t break ,
    After a few hours or next day , you can do your next layer , I’ve never had a problem doing it this way x

    • @ClairesCraftyCorner
      @ClairesCraftyCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thankyou so much .. that would definitely reduce air bubbles I imagine ? As the resin has already thickened up ... so do you lay them down on the tacky resin ? You don't push them in to the resin at all ? Thanks so much for the tip 🙌🙌🙌🙌❤❤❤

    • @tvcio6331
      @tvcio6331 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ClairesCraftyCorner no I don’t push them down, as the resin is tacky soon as the flower is down there’s no moving them much either,
      You can see me using this technique in my video here - Resin Palmistry Hand - th-cam.com/video/yVIuB1O_plY/w-d-xo.html
