Loving the coasters. The white flowers really pop on the black. In the past I tried adding the dried flowers using mod podge. I poured a layer & let it cure. Then addef the flowers with mod podge & let it dry before adding another layer. I found that some of the greenery ended up mottled like on one of yours. Hi Claire, i have done something similar, and the flower just died and the colors of the real plants turns brown after somedays... Do you face this issue as well?
Heyyyy Jenn ... flowers need to be 100% dry before putting in resin or they will go brown .. also .. I have since been told that dried flowers can bruise easily so you have to be really gentle. The last reason would be that they got burned by the resin in a deep pour .. sometimes the resin can heat up real quick and burn them x
I wait about an hour then place the flowers on the tacky resin, use tweezers to pick them up so they don’t break ,
After a few hours or next day , you can do your next layer , I’ve never had a problem doing it this way x
Thankyou so much .. that would definitely reduce air bubbles I imagine ? As the resin has already thickened up ... so do you lay them down on the tacky resin ? You don't push them in to the resin at all ? Thanks so much for the tip 🙌🙌🙌🙌❤❤❤
@@ClairesCraftyCorner no I don’t push them down, as the resin is tacky soon as the flower is down there’s no moving them much either,
You can see me using this technique in my video here - Resin Palmistry Hand - th-cam.com/video/yVIuB1O_plY/w-d-xo.html
