I heard for some of these LED, you can hook the livewire to the Headlight so it only comes on when the drls/lights activate & wont drain the battery. I dont see anyone doing any videos on that though.
@@vfr800fi07 I've got mine on the fuel pump circuit, so basically only on with the engine. its only a few watts of draw anyways, would take many hours to drain a battery with an LED strip like this.
Hello Chef! Awesome tutorial! I bought the same thing for my RAM 1500 Bighorn and will installing by following your video, so THANK YOU!. One question....are those aftermarket LED headlights on your RAM? If so, where did you buy them?
I am looking at similar headlights on Amazon currently. I have a silver 2020 BigHorn. Changed the current low beam and fog lights to ice blue and looks pretty sick with factory headlight assembly. Can’t wait to see it with this LED hood strip.
I want to turn it on when I unlock the door ( head lights turn on for 30 sec ) but , Idk if there is a few for that , So I want to turn on unlocking doors and when truck runs ... I can't find the fuse for headlights !! good video
My lights we will be arriving today. My question is are you having any trouble with your tailgate camera, since you are using the fuse tap? PLEASE RESPOND...
I noticed your sorrounding linear light on top and bottom of your headlight are as bight as the headlight its self; did you any upgrades or is there a setting make them birght like yours - mine are very dim like almost off. I have a 2022 Leramie
Nice video but warning he used wrong fuse F43 thats for mgu coolant pump and used wrong fuse for that. The trailer camera is right above that F44 and has a 10 amp fuse. Suggest to use that 1
Hello my brother . I want to ask if there is another fuse to connect with the led wire . So we can open or turn it off (the led ) with headlight switch . Now there is no way to turn off the led During the morning, it's open when ever you started the RAM
If your looking at the fuse box from the front of truck connect it to the 25 Amp fuse at the top right corner where ther is another yellow fuse beside it. Hope it helps.
On my Ram there is a rubber gasket on the hood edge. If you add the light strip does it interfere with the hood closing and do you have to adjust the hood latch?

The strip has the adhesive compound on both sides, so if one side has been used and need to remove, just remove the adhesive tape on the other side and install it back :-) That’s why i didn’t remove the red tape on the top side just in case
I think you have the fuse setup incorrect. 2 fuses at 10amps each is not the same as 1 fuse at 20amp. Even if the fuses were setup in series this will not work. the metal on these fuses can only tolerate a 10 amp surge anything higher it will burn the lower value fuse.

Wouldn't you need a 20 amp as the original is 20 amp? Each fuse is a different circuit

Hi. If the original fuse is 20, do you replace that with two 10s like you said or can you put in the original 20 and another 20?
Did you or anyone have any issues with the hood closing ? My hood will not shut due to the rubber garment. Any suggestions?

The light strip is about an 1/8 of an inch maybe more, thick. I would assume it would interfere with the hood closing. Maybe on the hood itself?
is the dynamic or running led strip road legal in alberta, canada?

Is it a Ram? If it is, you can put the led in between the hood and hood rubber seal. But then you would need to run the wire through the hood
