Great shave. I’m indifferent to floral scents to be honest with you. If it’s there, it’s there. I know somewhere along the line there’s gonna be a floral scented soap I’ll grow to like as long as it smells great for me. It was nice to have two videos in one week and let’s hope we get back to normality once everything dies down. Have a good one as always!

I really like the gear you used today! I have the razor(love it) I have the brush, Vivid Blue T3(love it) and the bowl(love it). I still haven't tried any of Jonny's products (I'm not a MegaStar like you, so he'll never sent me anything 😜) I hear great thing about his products, though! I wonder why the name Løthur has the Old Norse Viking letter ø in it...? I speak Old Norse. Does Jonny have Vikings in his lineage??🤔🙃.

Hi Kevy. Glad you have this razor that costs like a spaceship). When I wanted to add a bit of aggression to my razor, I simply put the cut blade under the main one - for free, but just as effective). Instead of three plates, I have 5 cut blades, and the razor itself is very soft. Option for the poor).
Keep your eyes open for used razors. I bought a 6C for $20. It shaves just as good as my 6S. I'm always seeing vintage Gillette adjustables in good shape that are being sold from Europe. They're pretty similar to the Rockwells in terms of performance. No need to use 5 cut blades when there are some great razors out there at every price. It also helps to be active in shaving groups online because sometimes people will give away razors.

As always, an entertaining review and shave. Coincidently, my SOTD was the 6S (also my favorite) with a Nacet blade (4th use). The soap was GFT (lemon scent) shaving cream face lathered with my 2022 PaulHFilms synthetic brush. Post-shave was alum, witch hazel, Nivea balm, and Whiskey Woods splash. BTW, continue with your light-hearted videos!

Im not a very flowery scented fan - but that is a soap I would like to give a run; sounds really well blanded and nice. Would love to take that for a test!
The notes of this scent do sound interesting. I love lavender, especially Oxford & Cambridge. I must confess that I have immediate concern regarding you finger. It has been some time that the injury occurred. I hope rehearsals for the play have been going smoothly. I imagine costuming, and sets are near completion. The 6S is so eye-catching in its fiery red hue. It looks like I will give Løthur a go. Stay safe during the commutes from Dundee to Edinburgh. As always, break a leg! If you told me I could keep my two favourite razors of all time it would be my black 6S and my Progress 500 and I'd forget about all my others. IMO noting but nothing comes close to those two. I started with a 34c....Great razor!! If they did it in Stainless it would be even better. The 6s is probably my best shaving razor. Every plate is smooth and no plate is aggressive......just more efficient than the lower numbers.

So.....the 6s is still your favourite razor. I have been wondering for a while if any razor had surpassed this one for you but obviously not. I love my Simpsons T3, er....and my T2. I think my favourite synthetic brush is my Chubby 2 but the Executive G4 in two tone silver and green handle is nice too. I think my 6s is probably my best razor too! I haven't bought any razors for ages having decided to use the 28 I have. I have Razorocks Gamechanger •68 open, • 84 closed, BBS, Lupo dual comb and lupo •72 closed. Masamune & Nodachi with both combs for each, Outlaws standard and mild, Blackland Blackbird, karve Christopher Bradley with B, C & D plates, two 3one6 razors, stainless and red, Rex Envoy, Rocca, AS-D2 & Braveheart. So some pretty good razors that the 6s has to compete with. I like the 6s because every plate is smooth unlike a true adjustable and I say levels of efficiency rather than aggression as even plate 6 is not at all aggressive.

I'm not much on Floral Scents sorry. The Soap that turned me off is a Soap from PAA it smelled like I walked into a Funeral Home 😵💫
But Fluorophobia might change my mind doesn't sound too bad. The Rockwell 6S on the other hand is my Favorite Razor using Plate 6 & 5. I never thought about using a spacer on Plate 4 sounds like a good idea.

Damn, I'm so jealous when I see people without any redness on their neck! I'm making the switch to single blade and just ordered the Supply SE razor. I do have my eyes set specifically on the red 6S in this video though...will definitely pick that up when I get the chance to treat myself. I'm wondering if beginning to shave with a single-blade will be enough to stop the razor burn and bumps alone on my neck or if I will have to take a 3-4 week break from shaving to let it cool off first before beginning my single blade routine...
I occasionally still get some redness on my neck. I think an adjustable razor helps. If my neck is irritated, I use the adjustable on a low, mild setting. The Supply razor gave me some irritation, I didn’t enjoy it but there are plenty shavers who do. I hope you enjoy yours. Cheers. Kevy 🙂

What's the difference between the updated Lothur aftershave splash and the older variation? Which one has more sting?
