    Such an interesting insight into the 350 Bullet, made for the Indian market with grease to match 👍. Thanks for showing!

    Glad you’re into Bullets , I bought one of the last 2007 Bullets , brand new in 2008 . It is used regularly in all weathers except ice . Not given much real bother , but I fitted an Amal carb and a Boyer ign kit . As you say the gearbox is not brilliant, but it keeps going and is proving to be a reliable bike . I’ve never been stranded , but carry a foot pump in case of punctures ! Great channel, cheers DaveH

    What a delight these videos are. Love the information and the obvious enthusiasm, and the style of the presentation. A good find, this channel. Thanks. I am havering about getting a Royal Enfield, since they remind me of my childhood and youth with motorbikes like the C15 and the A10 that I cut my teeth on at the start of the seventies. Right now, I have an old CB250 from 1997 and enjoy its dependability, but I hanker after the phut, phut, phut of the single and the torque, which the Honda 250 doesn't have. I only ride the back roads and lanes, and I am a real plodding rider, so I was considering the 350, but it has about three horses less than the Honda. So here I am flipping between thoughts of the RE350 (old style) the classic or Bullet 500,s (plenty about on Marketplace) but reputedly very vibey, and of course for not much more money, the Classic 350 Re-born...... Which way to go?

      Thankyou for the kind words! Well, I can't advise you on which one to get as it's down to personal choice! What I can say though, is all the Enfields you have mentioned, I have one! The 350, like in the video, really is 1950's technology. Simple, reliable and full of charactor! the 500's have a lot more torque over the 350's and only minimal vibration, if at all! The unit construction Bullets and Classic 500's are different again. They have loads of torque and a good turn of speed, if you need it. The classic 350 reborn's are a thoroughly modern motorcycle but styled in typical Royal Enfield tradition. they handle and ride superbly, are cheap to run, tax and insure and will do whatever you ask of them! 😃

    Yes it is. It's legacy continued till bs6 model and then discontinued. And now this model since 1930s to 2023 is a rare model and is not so easy to own one now.

      There must still be many left in India as they made many thousands! I have heard that this model is still produced today by Royal Enfield, but only for the home market, not for export?

      The CI models ended in 2010 along with the AVL models (2002-10), after which the UCE models took over, which what you're referring to lasted until 2023, and now the J series 350 has taken over - this is the progression

    Good observations about the 350 . But I seem to recall my Redditch Bullet would do 75 mph . Maybe the Amal monobloc gave better performance and I think the compression was higher too . But I might be looking into the past with rose tinted goggles .
    It used to blow headgaskets on a regular basis and rain would get into the magdyno when it was parked and she wouldn't start , so I carried a small can of meths to dry it out . I found some EP 140 oil from an old bike shop and used that in the gearbox .
    It had twin front brakes , which weren't very good and they're not very good on my Constellation either .
    Keep on Bulleteering !

    • @Volcanicbrown1878
      @Volcanicbrown1878  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To increase the compression ratio in the Indian 350 Bullets, A Meteor Minor sports piston can be fitted. Takes it up to around 8-1 ratio. I think the Indian Bullets have slightly smaller inlet porting than the Redditch version. Yes, the twin 6in front brakes were pretty dire in any of the models! A twin leading shoe front brake from a Bullet is a good upgrade for a Connie, in fact That's what I have used in my MK1 Interceptor! Going to have to get a 700 for the collection as I now realize I don't have one!!
