Hi Kicki, love all your videos. You are probably the most honest reviewer out there and it is too bad that your work is not appreciated enough. It is becoming so bad that some of those reviewers are actually trying to sell themselves, looking sexy with their cleavage as low as possible, posing and rocking their bodies, yak, what a shame. Your videos are down to the point, down to earth and very sincere. Thank you and keep up good work. I only wish there were more people watching your videos.

I have Oud Radieux which is mostly a ginger scent. The think the oud provides longevity. It was my most worn summer fragrance two years ago (I have many fragrances but this one I grabbed 4 different times which pushed it to the top of my list) and last summer I made an effort to spread some love so it only tied for first with 3x wearing along with a couple other scents.

I have to disagree with you…I have worn Cartier perfumes for decades and one marked aspect of them is that they last all day. Scent is an individual thing so not everyone will enjoy these oud blends the same way. I find that these are elegantly blended and not aggressive for oud scents. As most perfumes these days wear away in a couple of hours, these oud perfumes have great longevity.

Oud is not for every nose.
Those who understand real oud(s) عود know these are master pieces and that Mathilde Laurent is a real artist.
Maybe you should stick to Tom Ford's.
There is also a difference between being honest and being artificially cynical.

But I really enjoy lots of other ouds. But it is true that I am somewhat of a beginner in fragrance with only 3-4 years experience. My taste keeps changing. When I tried Cartier, I could not see them as price-worthy.

@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 thanks for taking the time to answer my somewhat abrasive comment.
What I was trying to say is that with haute parfumerie (not to be confused with niche or expensive), you really need to spend some time with the creations and not limit yourself to the openings. It's like contemplating a painting or smoking a rare cigar. Even more so with real quality oud, it can take 30 min or more before the oud does its magic.
Cartier les heures voyageuses are not for mass consumption,, and the price is justified by the quality of the ingredients and the work behind it, this is true luxury.
You should check Mathilde Laurent out as she is one of the last of a dying breed of parfumist.

Did I really? Sorry about that. I have passed these samples on a long time ago. According to my notes it was good but nothing special. And for that price, it has got to be special! Thanks for pointing this out. Can't believe I did not go through them all.

Just because someone likes a perfume you don’t, they sound “bought”? And by Cartier? Sorry, but they are not the type of brand that buys reviewers as they want to keep themselves as very niche and not at all popular. People are allowed to have different opinions, you know?

    • @thehonestperfumereviewer6336
      @thehonestperfumereviewer6336  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I think they are saying these things so that Cartier will keep sending them free stuff. Of course people can have different opinions, but I just don't trust those who don't buy their own stuff, I guess. This is also just an opinion:-) Not a fact.

@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336it’s quite an accusation though don’t you think? Mentioning people by name or handle and strongly suggesting that they’re not being truthful. If they came back to you and flatly denied it and wanted a retraction too that surely would get messy. I don’t know for sure but I guess this isn’t a route you want to go down? I actually DO enjoy the honesty in your reviews but I don’t automatically assume that others are not doing the same

    • @thehonestperfumereviewer6336

@@jeffdennis526 Well, I don't trust who recommend really expensive perfumes that they have not purchased with their own money. I don't think I called them liars, did I? I haven't rewatched this old video. When it is all superlatives and nines and tens, I stop listening. I think calling people out is ok as long as I stick to the facts and my own opinions. I can say that I don't trust Demi Rawling anymore. I have never trusted Curly Fragrance. There is is so little nuance to the reviews and it is obvious that they don't spend their own money on the fragrances. But thank you for sharing a comment, maybe I need to be softer when expressing my distrust.

@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336ok. I respect the strength of your opinion on people but we can agree to disagree on whether naming them is necessary or not. TH-cam is a crazy place even you’re posting the mildest of subjects. I like to think that something as sensuous, meaningful and thought provoking as smelly water can be a bit of a refuge from all that.
But then I am British so maybe I’m classical and stereotypically over polite!
