This is fantastic - really like how you make the experience as if we're going down the slope together and most importantly simplify it. This is not something you see much from the other snowboard teaching channels where you just see them doing fancy carves and buttering down a double black. Would love to see you do an episode of not catching edges which has been the bane of my snowboarding experience. Great job!

Man, that was the biggest takeaway for me when I hired my first Snowboarding coach.
When I started putting the weight on my front foot, it helped so much!
Of course when you're a little more comfortable and riding longer, you could still put a little pressure on your back foot and still navigate the mountain if your front foot is getting tired. Although, I found putting the weight on the front foot when you're getting started helps make things a little bit easier👌🏼

You just gotta try the black diamonds. I skateboarded for years but it was my first time snowboarding and couldn’t go down a easy bunny slope but at the end of the day. I went down the black diamond and it was good. You just have to try and go for it

I completely agree with you! I did hire a snowboarding coach on my second day ever. The first day I ever snowboarded on my own was rough and I was falling constantly😅
On my second day, I did hire a snowboarding coach. That made a WORLD of difference to get a few key pointers down. The best one I got was putting the weight into my front leg to steer the Snowboard. It helped so much!
But, after my 4th run by myself,. I finally just went up and did it!
I can't say it was pretty😅 But, it does get better over time💪🏼

@@Frankwallfitness it’s more mellow than most green runs out west here. I haven’t been to cataloochee in a while. It was one of my first resorts. If I come back out east again, I wanna try New England resorts and see what the big deal is. I’ve only ridden NC and VA resorts on the east coast. Apparently Alabama has a one run ski resort though where I’m originally from.

    • @Frankwallfitness

Yea...I just got back from Austria and it was EPIC! Kaltenbach is a place to check out for sure. You can rent a house that is basically at the bottom of the slopes that you Snowboard to.
Love going out west In the States also💪🏼
Never been to the New England resorts, but would definitely check out out if it's cool!
Cataloochee is ONLY good when it has snowed a lot. Then it's a ton of fun if they open up the Upper Snowbird trail so you can get the most out of your run.

FrankWallFitness I snowboard down Big Bear and Mammoth mountain. The Double blacks in Big Bear are fun but I’m not good enough to do the double blacks in Mammoth. Those are insane! I’ve snowboarded three years and I only just felt good enough to run double blacks last year after I mastered my s turns and running blues with minimal difficulty.

    • @Frankwallfitness
      @Frankwallfitness  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That's awesome man! I only wish I had some legit places near where I live. The next decent place I've been too is Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia, but it's about a 9n hour drive, so I've got to fly everywhere else.
This will be starting my 4th season snowboarding too, so I'm hoping this year won't be so crazy with everything going on as my season lastv year was ended early as our trip to Colorado was canceled this past March.
Keep shredding and stay safe! This sport is what fires me up to stay in shape every year💪🏼
