I’m 8 minutes in and listening to this prosecutor is the equivalent to a slow torturous death. I’ve never seen an attorney read the closing word for word. She list the jury 30 seconds in. Isaak’s is guilty as sin but this closing certainly doesn’t hurt him.

She has to be the worst closing argument I've ever heard.
She should have left it to the guy that opened for them.
She shouldn't use such an important case to hone her skills on how to close she should have honed them on a burglary or a carjacking were no-one was physically harmed.
But to chose a murder capital case with 4 people dead is ridiculous.

The way these victims were stabbed, there could have been more than 1 person, but if it was 1 person, this person would have had a lot of blood on themselves and left a lot of evidence behind. The Defense made a lot of good points. If the smell of bleach was evident, than why was it not on the report. I would have another group of investigators to go over this crime. There has to be some kind of motive. I don’t feel that the Police in this town handle this crime carefully. Remember, they are not used to these kinds of crimes in that area, so they were sloppy and lack experience for these kind of high crime, and were probably pressure to find the suspect, and could have planted the evidence in his pickup truck, we know that cops do this with drugs.

I just don't get this trial ! If a person stabs people over 100 times, that is exhausting. During the stabbings, NEVER once did they state Chad had any cuts on his hands especially if there was a struggle ! Many times the killer's hand slips on the knife when it becomes bloodied and they end up accidentally cutting themselves. He had NONE of those kinds of wounds on himself. The killer usually goes in to a stabbing frenzy. They said it was a brutal stabbing scene. Now...Who can explain WHY he didn't have any type of these wounds. The whole scene of these murders is NOT believable ! He is INNOCENT ! All the prosecution did was go over a possibility of how it happened....With NO TRUE EVIDENCE. :(

I've listened to it twice. Her style, even nervousness, slight falter at outset, transmits the gravity of the crime and this moment in the trial.
Statement has gravitas, she has too.
Tone & cadence as she goes through the evidence, details, also conveys the serious work they've done here, and serious attitude they've taken towards this case and trial. What they've thought out about it, challenges tried to meet, etc. Conveys their responsibilities. And the responsibility she's also got, been given here.
She need accomplishes, and does, I think for their careers, their Office, the State, law practice, justice. And in a unique and high profile trial and case, a quadruple murder at a workplace - while ironically delivering the narrative and statement as if she was a good young parent reading, telling the story to a child in bed from the favorite book that kid's most compelled by.

Here's a possible motive for this crime: this was a revenge killing by someone who was very very angry with one or more of these people, and the good doctor was paid by someone to commit it. The person checking for ID would want proof he had murdered the person(s) he was hired to murder. He would also be paid handsomely for a crime that nobody could attribute a motive to and then set free. Remember Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train" which was then remade as a comedy in, "Throw Mama from the Train" . . . "criss-cross". Question is, where is the money, and if Isaak was the gun-for-hire, who hired him?

    • @Hoffmanpack
