I'm running Sunday Keys on the ipad 5ª gen. 2017 device, and i won't say it's good, but it's running! The app is awesome! Really reliable even on this old device.
Thanks David for your great work bringing Sunday Keys to the iPad, it's truly revolutionary! So I was in the market late last year for two iPads for my church when I saw that Apple were probably releasing the iPad Air 13" this year so I patiently waited for it and got them as soon as they came out! Got it exactly for the larger screen size but at a more affordable price point.
ipad air m2 13 inch is the best choice, bigger screen at a lower price than other. maybe apple feel something about sunday keys. hehe sir, can you make a video on ableton? maybe this is the other way to use sunday keys sounds on windows. via ableton live.
@hatricklov Hahaha. I am very late. I have already viewed the 5 year old ableton tutorial videos of them. Funny moment to me. That video is older than this, this is already for apple users. Lol. As the night pass by searching some answers here, I realize we can even have the same template if we have guts and time to make it. But they are doing it for us. If i have budget, beacause i am a lazy one 😂, i will buy from them just to show my support. They are doing great!
I use an iPad Mini 6. It does ok it’s a bit small and not insanely powerful. It will get the job done, but you might enjoy a larger one more. I also wouldn’t use one older than the 6. (So iPad Mini 6 or iPad Mini (2024 edition)) Mine is a 64GB storage one. I would not recommend anything under 128GB!!! The Sunday Keys app takes up 20GB currently. Hope this helps!
Hello. Now I get it. An M1 or M2 chip model is good enough. What about RAM size and storage size what do you recommend brother to run your software smoothly?
Thanks David! I've had the iPad Air 5th M1 since 2022! I've been using the demo version of Sunday Keys ever since, with the Anker HUB and Steinberg UR22mkII interface. Simply fantastic!! It won't be long before I get the license to use all the features you provide!! I'm really fascinated by everything you deliver!! Besides, in the latest versions, I'll be able to use some external app (I saw it in a video you also posted). Finally, I updated my MAC and I have it there too! By any chance, will it be able to integrate with other DAWs? Thanks!!
I would recommend macbook , mainstage or ableton just sounds crispy compared to the sunday keys app but its dope having it on the ipad for a budget and quick setup
So I used iPad Pro M1 for a while and had no issues with SK app until I started making patches with 8-10+ sounds and with 3-4+ arp sounds. I ran into a buffer issue and had to bump it up to 512 but started to notice a slight latency. So I decided to dedicate the M1 for Prime tracks, Tempo and secondary lyrics in split screen and got an M4 iPad Pro to run SK app. I love how smooth and fast M4 is. I also do photography so M4 is helpful with large files. (This is my personal expense so there’s no burden on church)
I'm using an iPad Air (4th Generation), and I experience bearable lags, which is tolerable since we are only a small church. However, this might be an issue for bigger churches. Sometimes it freezes, and the sound stops, but my current concern is that it consumes almost 20 GB of storage. Apple is notorious for limited storage, which often leads to paying for additional space.
Hi. I’m loving your videos. They’ve been very helpful. Hoping you can help me out regarding an issue of repeating notes, almost like an echo when triggering notes from your app. I have an Apple iPad (10th Generation): with A14 Bionic chip, 10.9-inch. USB-C port. The audio interface is an AudioBox USB 96 per recommendations from your videos. Everything is wired through the powered Anker USB-C hub you recommend. Could you please advise how to correct the issue of the repeating notes coming from the iPad app when triggered from my single channel midi keyboard? Thanks so much!
What is the minimum amount of storage space and RAM that one should have. Great coverage about the processors, but I think there is a little more to it. Please address the options for these or folks could run into potential problems. For example: I bought the Audiobox USB96 per your recommendation and it got hung up in the middle of the service more than once (while connected to my brand new Macbook Air M4). We've been using my Focusrite 2i2 since that and have not had any more issues. It is almost as though the throughput of the Audiobox couldn't handle things sufficiently. I know this is getting a little technical, but no one wants their keys cutting out in the middle of a service. These technical details matter. Thanks. I appreciate your work and your product, David. Thank you to you and your team for all you do.
I have a macbook and an iPad seems intriguing. For the Macbook, I don’t really need to charge it while Im playing if its at 100% (I have both a hub capable of power delivery and one without). It also doesnt get that hot. I like to manage the battery health of my devices. For an iPad, does it heat up alot and does the battery degrade faster since it has to be charging?
I've been using Sunday Keys MainStage on my MacBook Pro for the past 4 years and using my 11" iPad to view my Music Stand Chord chart app. I only have one iPad, so if I switch to Sunday Keys for iPad, I'm thinking I would need to split the screen to view both apps (but now the real estate is cut in half) OR buy another iPad to accommodate both apps. Suggestions or solutions? thanks.
Have you thought about getting a midi controller with faders such as the Korg NanoKontrol? You could spend relatively little and control your sounds/patches from the controller whilst using the iPad for your music 😊
Nah bro keep Sunday keys on your macbook. Actually, instead of Mainstage just key it on the Standalone app. MacBooks will always be so much better than iPads. Plus, you have a better success in getting third-party plugins.
Been using SK on a 7th gen 32gb iPad for several years now. Unfortunately, SK has swelled in its file size and processor requirements that it's a brick. They advertised for so long that ANY ipad could run their software - a huge selling point - but have now "altered the deal", and we have to pray that they don't alter it any further as they add features and AI at every update.
Hi David, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and we’re sorry to hear you’re frustrated. It is true that due to changes Apple made in iOS 18 we needed to update the way our samples were encoded to ensure full compatibility, which increased the size of the sample library. We did this to ensure that the App would work on iOS 18. In terms of processing requirements, the App has actually been optimized over time to be more and more efficient, so that truly shouldn’t be a factor for users unless they are using more and more Sounds at once, creating larger Setlists with more Patches pre-loaded, etc. We did add the AI-assisted Patch Builder feature a couple months back, which many people have been finding very helpful to their worship planning. We just want to let you know that that feature doesn’t take up any processing resources or memory in a general sense, it’s only active when you’re actively going through the Patch Builder workflow. We’re always happy to speak with you directly via the contact form on our site if there’s anything we can do for you. Again, thanks for taking the time to comment and for your support of Sunday Sounds.

What size storage do you recommend for Sunday key?
I've been using your software for a year now. I like everything, you have an excellent product and excellent technical support!
Thanks for the video,
I’m currently using an iPad 10th generation and it gets the job done since I only run Sunday keys on it.
Same here. Been using for a year already and no issues. 😊

Are you asking about an Ableton Live version of Sunday Keys? 🤔 Because they do offer it, LOL!

I'm using Ipad Pro 2020 & works fine with the Sunday Keys App. A bit lagging in the display but not impacting sound quality at all.
I’m using a 2017 iPad Pro. So far it’s working great!
Me too. But just saw no more iOS updates for it. Sigh.
@ Rats. I guess it’s time for a new iPad.
Could an iPad mini be used? For those that dont really prefer a huge tablet?

I am on Sunday Keys trial mode, I will be purchasing a full version soon. I am using iPad Pro 13 inch 512GB Cellular model. Super powerful device
Does your iPad overheat or is it fine when running it?
Hello! Thank you for everything!
Will you guys make more Sunday Guitar videos? And song specific patch like for Keys?🙏🏽
Hello. Now I get it. An M1 or M2 chip model is good enough. What about RAM size and storage size what do you recommend brother to run your software smoothly?
Could you post a tutorial on how to make new patches?
I think he already made this video.

Thanks for sharing, what storage size for the M4 Pro did you get?
I’m using the m1 air and it is fine i even run TH-cam when I’m practicing songs
How about storage?128gb ,256?

where can i get the extender clamp/stand @7:35? Thanks
Yes, place a link in the description, please ...
You didn’t even mention storage? How much storage will I need if I want to bring over Omnisphere or keyscape sounds?

How does Sunday Keys work with Camelot? Camelot needs a powerful iPad.

I have an iPad 7th generation running OS 18.01. Can it handle Sunday keys?
Probably going to go with a macbook over an ipad. I like physical faders and buttons, so the touch screen doesn't matter too much to me.

If only there were an Android version... You would sell hundreds more licenses, if not thousands.
Sunday keys to Android please make that happen🥺
We need in android 😢
