      Resistance is futile.

      @@FAWRailsandSlots probably no simple and I need to look into it but, is old track from the 90s compatible with the lane changing cars? Is the technology in the car or track or both?

      @@destinationhome1 Yes, the classic track from the 90s is compatible with the more modern Sport track. The track connects in a different way, but all you need for that is a pair of adaptor tracks that have the old style connector on one end and new style on the other. The lane changing tech is in the track and the cars, but its self contained in each piece of track and old cars can be updated with the SSD chip.

      @@FAWRailsandSlots I see, so the lane changing would be only available in the changing lane able sections of track if you mixed old and new track together...sounds fun. thanks for the information

      @@destinationhome1 Yes, you can only get lane changing track that is compatible with Sport track, so you'd need adaptor pieces on either side if you were to use classic track.

    Why can't you use both pieces?

    • @FAWRailsandSlots
      @FAWRailsandSlots  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, but the second piece won't have the supporting / stiffening web on the outside of the track.

    shame you cant use both....

      There's no technical reason why you can't use both sides, you just need to find a way of making the cut edge of the track better so that the edge is supported. You could cut and glue on a strip of black plastic to do that.
