I always have hated the "well they're fine so there's no need to make a big deal of it" okay but he shouldn't have been put into a situation where he could have died at all! I feel no one is taking this as seriously as it should be, including CPS...
It sounds like a really stressful situation not being able to reach your son for that long. I hope everything turned out okay in the end. Communication during situations like these is so important, and hopefully, there’s a way to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Wishing you peace and understanding moving forward!
While the situation was serious, OP could've changed the outcome somewhat if he had gone personally to check on his son. Who goes to the movie when they haven't heard from their 8 year old son even after ONE hour?!
What asshole commenters said not to call CPS because the kids not in danger anymore? She's got a kid the same age, and her behavior toward her nephew was _awful._ She could have been treating her own son that way.
i'm sorry what part of locking a sick child in a basement and not even calling his parents is a mistake? i don't care what your mental state is that's not a mistake
The way you express yourself is so captivating; I can’t stop reading! 📖
My sister would still be running if that was my son….

Yeah, most people just ignore clear signs that people should have certain privileges revoked.
The sister should be charged for her actions.

Was this a class assignment that had to be at least 20 minutes long? Because it goes on, and on, and on, and on...
Talkin' loud and sayin' nothing.

The stories take forever to get through cause they continuously repeat themselves selves over and over again!!!
"My wife," or "My husband." Make up your mind.
4:18 "my husband" OP married and had kids with her father?
yeah
Op was a wife and a husband?
So much repetition. The entire story could have been told in fewer than ten minutes.
Is OP married to a husband or a wife? I'm very confused as both are mentioned which is weird
First talks saying HE said then switches to talking about themselves in a HER, get your story straight
damm people make mistakes and don't turn cartoonishly evil? this is weird
