- G7 leaders meeting in Italy Friday are "hardening their tone" against China, says France 24's Kethevane Gorjestani, with the group warning Beijing to stop sending weapons components to Russia and to play by the rules on trade, according to a draft summit statement.

As a comparison the total GDP ppp of 7 non-G7 countries (China, India, Russia, Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey and Mexico) is about 150% the total GDP of G7 countries. With higher growth rates of these countries compared to the west, it is just a matter of time.
The G7 are not the wealthiest countries in the world especially on a PPP basis.
But G7 are so powerful group of nation.
