Picked up Arc Ultra, sub 4, and era 300’s. This is an amazing system, the bar is excellent on its own, but really comes to life with the sub and surrounds. If you are getting a SB mainly for dialogue, you are good just getting the bar. Have the Sony Quad to, the quad is slightly better sound, a better way to say that would be the Quad has a different sound. I don’t think anyone on earth would be disappointed with either system. I’d say this, if u have Apple products you will probably like the Sonos better, it feels like an Apple product. Your best option would be to audition both systems. Sony has a lot of sound settings and to Sonos has almost none. I prefer none as long as it’s good and Sonos is excellent.
Amazing review Aaron. Loved the binaural sections of your review. Sonos sounds great. I am curious to see with the back speakers how it will sound as well. I'm certain the image will expand a lot. Thank you for mentioning me Aaron!
I like the sound recordings as well. Sometimes that's the only way hear a system at all. One thing I'd note is your room is the most important variable of any system. So what we are hearing, even if it's 100% accurate, will sound different in your room. The room correction software helps, but nothing helps more than a room with audio treatments.
Hi Aaron thanks to you again I got my next audio product the arc ultra and agreed I personally saved the money on the sub and got the era 100 for atmos surround
Upgraded my v1 Arc to the Arc Ultra (LG OLED 77C1+dual Gen 3 subs+Fives). The Ultra has improved dialogue and sounds louder with improved clarity at the same volumes as the v1 Arc. I didn't noticed the bass improvement with the Arc Ultra. Most likely because of have dual subs on either side of soundbar and Fives as surrounds. Moved the v1 Arc into master bedroom to replace Beam Gen 1 (LG OLED 65C4+Gen 3 sub+Symfonisk rears). The Arc Ultra could be purchased without the sub if you if living in a space with shared walls, don't watch a lot of action movies, or listen to bass heavy music. I would recommend the v1 Arc if you can also get a sub/sub mini to make up for the soundbar lack of bass. You can add rear surrounds down the road from Sonos or IKEA as needed.
With the subs beside you'll hardly hear the difference, but if you compare them without the subs the Arc will deliver more heaviness in tracks with LFE. Won't be as low and loud as Subs though.
Can we get new complete comparision of headphones , on ear over ear , and including all old and new ones and which one is value for money as old ones are now cheaper. I would personally like to know more about xm4,5,momentum 4, monitor2,3 and major 4,5,etc
I like that rugged and retro design of marshalls but most other reviewers are saying that its inferior in sound quality so would like to know more before making a decision.
If I have time to do it, definitely. Probably not the marshalls for more demanding listeners. XM4 is still good, but many people like the Momentum 4s too.
@@aaronloudnwireless Thanks for your quick reply, i do like to use wires and use it for lower latency and also sometimes enjoying music on that, although its mostly when i play games that i use wires. Thanks, im considering momentum 4 as they are cheaper here.
wow big difference with and without sub4 ! with always best ! I'm with ambeo plus with two small subs Q Acoustics 3060s (connexion method > 1 RCA in Y > Mono in the sub out soundbar and go out to 2 RCA femellle and 2 mono cable RCA to the 2 subs) and it's awesome ! no shacking of my house but only my sofa of 35kg shake a little on the boom sound under 30Hz ! And the night, sometimes I'm listen movies-musics without the 2 subs because ambeo plus go down in my room 20m² to 25Hz at 72dB on a normalize listening at 75dB so -3db under like Sennheiser say. I think that this pack Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub4 is a great pack too.
Subs Sonos Gen makes great job in listening ! it's always good to have it, because without and if people push the bass of soundbar Arc Ultra, I think it will like my ambeo, the distorsion increase because the woofer in this Arc or Ambeo are small, they're not 8" (minimum) woofer of a sub dedicated. These little woofer in these soundbars it's only for to give a punch on the voices, battery, etc... only. I think that soundbars like the Sennheiser ambeo max, Beosound stage, Bang & Olufsen Theatre or other with big woofer integrated can work without a sub, they go to under 30Hz at 80dB spl but not to up 100dB spl. It's a choice of each people who like or not the great dB spl bass.

You're most welcome. Great content Jennifer. Such soundbars always feel incomplete without rear channels if you've had actual 5.1 before.
@aaronloudnwireless I agree my two soundbars systems have rear speakers. It's a must.
💯💯💯

You don’t get Atmos with ERA 100 sorry to say
That's great! You'll get surround with era 100 but not atmos surround yea

Hi, can you clarify where to get the Jennifergala atmos tracks outside of TH-cam please. You mentioned “atmos music” but not clear what that means
You can search for it on Apple Music.
I found the patreon page but could find the specific test track you were using
Hey Aaron do u think that sonos gen 4 sub puts out more lfe than bose bass module 700
Sonos Arc Ultra or Stereo HomePod 2, what will be your pick?
P.s. The quick fox jumps over the road
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hello, Aaron, if possible, also review and compare the samsung q990d

Yea if you have them under the sofa you'll feel the rumble for sure
@@aaronloudnwireless too bad there is no RCA input on the Sonos subs, I would have added them to the ambeo Plus. These Gen 3 and 4 subs are so good.
Too bad it's a closed ecosystem
@@aaronloudnwireless I agree

The woofer performs better than regular small drivers but you defintely need the Sub for anything below 250hz.
Pair the arc ultra with two sub gen fours
Earthquake
Uhmmm what was that fingering action? 😀
😂😂😂
Sonos no DTS no good
