Never been to the universal Harry Potter but i've done the warnerb bros studio tour in london, Holden you'd love that because it's more about film sets and props etc. and you get to enter the great hall that was used in the film. it's awesome, and you can still buy all of the stuff, props, wands, food etc. very cool

Crazy story! I went to universal studios this summer and went to the Harry Potter part. I was immediately engulfed in the Harry Potter world. As soon as we left and went home I watched all of the Harry Potter movies and loved them! Now I can’t wait to go back and experience the Harry Potter part as a knowledged Harry Potter lover!

Everything in the park is super expensive. You can bring in your own water bottle though and fill it up numerous places. In fact there is a water fountain at the mermaid wishing well in the middle of the Harry Potter area
In all seriousness, I loved Wizarding World when we went on Christmas Day last year. This video captures it pretty well, and I loved the looks into the rest of the parks. Though I'm not a fan of big drops, I think I like coasters a bit more lol

I only had a passing interest in Harry Potter for the longest tine, but then I went to Universal with my lady, fell in love and we binge watched it in like 2 days. Pretty sure it’s supposed to work the other way around lol
I went to the LoTR parade when they wrapped up the movies, was awesome! The actual actors were there in their costumes and I got to shake Arwens/Livs hand. The Ring Wraiths are scary in real life. I even saw John Rhys-Davis just walking down the street one day on the way to work.

Dramamine would have been the best option. I'm like Holden and almost every ride gets me sick. Dramamine helps with the nausea but you have to use it like the night before or you will get really tired from it.
@@HoldenHardman yeah the sleepiness is a big problem with the Dramamine. You could try the wristbands that are supposed to inhibit motion sickness. They work well for me on cruises.
I completely agree that the prices at theme parks are absolutely outrageous. I went to Horror Nights in Hollywood a few weeks ago, and the water bottles were a whopping $6 dollars each!! And they weren’t even very big😑

Jen, that was MY expression as well upon coming through that entrance for the first time, mind you, I did it on wheels...due to a fall a couple of weeks prior whilst in Scotland I had an ankle injury so I hired one of the scooters at Universal..made it so much easier for getting around AND getting into rides quicker without having to purchase their version of the fast pass..learned a valuable lesson though on the first day, don't get the scooters with the canopies...had an almighty bath when taking off after there'd been a downpour during a ride..I'd dried the scooter but didn't think of the canopy..chuckle..I wish they'd bring a Universal studio down to Australia or at least a HP themed park..
I've been to Universal Studios Orlando about a month ago and loved it very much. I've been on a VIP tour with my family, we went to the Harry Potter world where I got Harry Potter's wand, Marvel, Jurassic World where I went on the Velocicoaster which is my favorite and my personal favorite: MIB Alien Attack. I've been on that ride 3 times, I had lots of fun shooting aliens. I hope I'll come back someday.
As someone who just came back from Universal Florida, water and ice are free from the All-in-one soda machine stations. Also, you can bypass the chip at the bottom of the cups and fill up whatever you want if you go right after someone else filled up. The machines stay active about 5-10 seconds after.
I still remember when I first visited Universal back in 2015... I cryed so hard when I was in the HP's world, mainly during the castle ride. ❤ I hope to have the chance to take my parents with me one day...
I was so happy to see the E.T ride! They removed it years ago from the universal in CA. I remember riding this as a child in the early 90's, and it looks exactly the same! It was always my favorite ride.
It was awesome coming with you both on this experience. I absolutely Love the HP series and have loved every minute watching you both enjoy this together. I can't wait to sit with my gf and share this experience with her when we watch them all like 20 times a year and then eventually save up to take her to Universal. Fun fact : diagon alley is base on a street in York where my friend live and it’s called the Shambles (an old word meaning meat market or open-air slaughterhouse) that’s where J.K got her inspiration for diagon alley from, it’s surreal being there in real life.
The Forbidden Journey ride was the only ride that gave me suuuuper bad motion sickness when we went this past week. Hagrid's Motor Bike ride was the best in the park though. Enjoyed that even more than the Velocicoaster.
As a Scot, perfect way to end your Potter saga would be a trip on the Jacobite steam train across the Glenfinnan viaduct, and of course the 12+ filming locations across Scotland

Id recommend going to harry potter studios in united kingdom where they actually still have the sets from where they fillmed it and props they have it seasonall as well, halloween actors walk around as death eaters, and christmas they dress the greathall up
yeahh the UK one is the best, the US one is bigger with some parts but the one in Watford is where they actually shot all the movies, its authentic and has the real sets! went recently and was so cool having the death eaters go about casting spells at everyone lool

Oh man, I hope your motion sickness didn't stop you from going on the Hagrid coaster. Might be the best ride out of any of the parks for me.
The E.T ride is my absolute favorite ride. I go out to Florida from Vegas least every 3yrs just to ride it lol
