A someone who hasn't eaten at a kitchen / dining room table since the house was free of kids, I like the J Lounge WAY more than the couch and table-n-chairs combo.

Love the J lounge!!! I can see grandkids all cuddled in for movie night. Or me on one end and hubby on the other for a serious power nap. 😴

I found you guys a few months ago when we started thinking about getting an RV and wanted to do some homework. I really liked your energy and fun attitude and have been watching pretty much every day since. This is going to sound hokey, but in these crazy last several days, having the videos to look forward to and watch and seeing your cheerful faces is, I don't know, comforting. So thanks for doing these everyday and being so upbeat.
Also, am I the only one who noticed you had a different shirt on half way through? Anyway, God bless!

You 2 are so much fun to watch! No interest in a towable myself (especially a bunk house) BUT...some fun stuff to see here. Dislikes are very little storage outside, the "J" Lounge (dinette/theater seats, like Andrea said) & slide out on patio side dividing the door & the outside kitchen. Likes would be that awesome fridge (HUGE!), 1.5 bathrooms (SMART!) & Open Road horse logo (Boise State Bronco here!). I also like you 2 splitting the reviews & taking more time to openly discuss your likes/dislikes (just like my wife & I do). The videos are 25-30 minutes now and couldn't be happier about that. The 2-3 minute videos you see out there just suck. It's not worth my time. I look forward to the more in-depth (inside/outside/up top/underneath) information I get with these reviews. Thanks for your time/efforts you 2...

You talked about the shelf for CPAPs. FYI I’m a Respiratory Therapist, CPaPs placed higher than the person tend to have “rain out”. There is the potential for flooding of the sinuses due to the condensation dripping into your nose/face. Cpaps belong on the same level with the person or ever so slightly lower. (I’m a Respiratory Therapist)

    3 things I love
    1 outside kitchen
2 j sofa. Yes Matt I agree with you
    3. The bathroom
    Three things I dislike
    1. No tv in bedroom
2 no washer and dryer hookup for full time
    3. No power outlets on the extra counter. Could use a power tower
I have a fourth take out the little spice rack and put in a residential stove

The 3 things I do not like: 1. no outlet in the hutch for a coffee maker, 2. outside kitchen door not "kid-size adult" friendly (put a button you would press to put the door down, similar to a SUV tailgate), 3. the awnings
The 3 I like: 1.the fridge, 2. everything about the outside kitchen, excluding the door, 3. king bed with nightstands on both sides

We have the 18" with everything inside, plus the fireplace. Ours came with the tv and grill outside, plus the 50" inside. We put a tv in the bunkhouse for our teen children and they put their xbox in there as well. My daughter loves bringing her friends to the beach for a girls weekend. We love using it and people also want to see the inside. They say it feels like a 5th wheel, I agree. It's a must buy!

Impressed with this travel trailer. With all of the interior storage, a w/d prep kit would have been the cherry on top. Generator prep is a must for a TT of this caliber. IMO The stabilizers are nice, but for a unit this size, leveling jacks would have made this phenomenal. None of this is a complaint, but necessary for a true fulltime rig. Since you have your whole truck bed for additional storage, this unit is a peach indeed.

  • @lancomedic
    @lancomedic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I like this trailer. To make it full time for me:
    Cover the roof with solar
rip out the outdoor kitchen and replace it with 8 lithium batteries and solar controllers
remove the bunk and install a washer
remove the other bunk and install a desk
replace "J" lounge with a hide-a-bed sofa and a kitchen table (sorry Matt)
you are now at about $80,000
Buy a $75,000 truck to pull and stop it.
Might as well buy a motor home.

Dislikes: 1. Stove - no place to put utensils, spices as you cook without constantly turning around and taking your utensils across the floor causing splatters that could stain.. 2. Bedroom - can't walk around it. 3. No outside TV stock - don't really like TV location mixed with outdoor kitchen. LIKES: 1. Outdoor Kitchen ROCKS. 2. Kids/Visitor room - WOW - 1/2 bath, dinette, couch, two bunks, ability to create two more beds from couch and dinette. 3. Like Matte - Wife and I both love that huge J-Couch/lounge/dinette set up. Overall - there is so much we like here - and so much we don't. We are older - getting uncovered in the middle of the night and crawling down the length of the bed just to go to the bathroom does not sound fun. We would prefer a smaller master bed and able to walk around it. So close to the perfect trailer, and honestly, that back room would almost seal the deal for us, IF it were not for that master bedroom.

  • @maryloutallon

Love the marble design on back splash and tables, but would like it on island as well. I agree with Andrea, dislike the huge couch, prefer theater seating and perhaps a desk/work area in place of that. Also dislike any carpet whatsoever because we have fur babies. Love bath and half and residential fridge. Would even like the length of this RV. Would have to replace the bunks with something else. Maybe convert to wardrobe/storage space for full-timers with no kids.

1- Love the little table in the bunkroom
2- Love the couch in the bunkroom
3- Love the big jay lounge area instead of a table and couch!!!
1 2 3 I hate that I have another trailer and not this one!!! there is nothing that I don't like!

Great overview, thank you. Andrea’s portion of the presentation was excellent, too.
LOTS to like about this travel trailer. Loooong chaise lounge sofa, outside kitchen capability, outstanding interior storage, outstanding refrigerator and kitchen in general, back bedroom sleeping capacity, two air conditioners.
The ONLY two things I would’ve like to have seen (neither would be deal-breakers) are 1. the long sofa jackknifes into a bed; and 2. (as always) LIGHTER, BRIGHTER AND GLOSSIER (versus dull and drab) cabinetry.
Otherwise this unit is a WINNER at a very reasonable price point, ESPECIALLY if you buy from Matt!

Hi Matt & Andrea, thanks for review.
3 things I hate: frameless windows (poor ventilation), the hookups in the rear (what were they thinking?), and the lack of good storage in bunk room, not enough for 4...oh one more, not a fan of the tiny counter space next to the stove.
3 things I love: the J lounge especially for a large family ( I’m tired of bench seating, always so crowded), the outdoor kitchen (although the door sucks), the master bedroom storage...oh one more again the covers for the sink are awesome and useful.

Nice layout but some manufacturers have higher weight ratings on their bunks and, more are putting the Auto-level on their trailers which to me, is a big selling point. I have a Cross roads 33SI and love the auto level system. Thanks for your reviews as it gives people things to look at and think about. Even after purchasing ours, I see things I wish were changed but are not, because you pointed out good and bad in others RV's. Great video you two! I'm not going to do 3 likes/dislikes, but, for the first time ever, I'm not immediately turned off by the fact that it's a "Bunk House" trailer. I would, however, personally do away with the 2 top bunks, and the second bedroom/bunk area would become my office space. Not really a fan of that HUGE sofa. I would probably go for the dinette w/ smaller sofa.

  • @davidlane3566

I have 2018 328bhs with dinette and Thomas Payne theater seats and do like it better than u lounge. At 1st I thought I wanted u lounge, but dinette and theater is much better. I travel for work so me and wife are full time. Bunk room I put Splendid washer and dryer. Water and drain was easy to run as it is right there. It is a large tt,however if it could be in one's budget I recommend a 5th wheel. The wife and I really like the Riverstone 39fk. Pricey but well made. A true 4 season full time rv. Ya'll should review one. I want the body paint, don't care for the brown base model ext. and the luxury package with body paint also has a water manifold with shutoff for everything. psst psst CPAP needs to be lower than the person using it - otherwise you risk "rain" and that's when the humidity of the water chamber causes enough condensation you will wake up thinking your drowning.
Cool camper & I'm not a fan of the J Lounge either

    • @lenahedger

Agree with your original two dislikes. But would add. Needs a plug for a coffeemaker on the counter a cross from the island. All the outside kitchen needs is a strap to help the height challenged close to door. To be full time it does need a washer dryer. IMO.

    Good work, you two.
I don’t like the situation for the 50 amp cord. Seems all trailers just bundle up the cord and stuff it somewhere.
I don’t like the awnings and slide on the campsite side. The chef cooking at the outside kitchen would feel ostracized and left alone!
I don’t like the rear water valves and tv and electrical connections in the same space.
I do like the bunk room and half bath.
I do like the kitchen but not the back splash.
I do like the price for the unit. I think that if you were to upgrade the tires, change the shackles for higher quality ones and a good weight distribution bars you would have a great trailer.

I really like the kitchen except the oven ( personal preference), bathroom looks small although the low toilet is nice saves on stressing the sprinter.

Wow what a beast. I’m thinking that should be a 5er. That’s a heavy TT.
    I like the double dinette
I like the 1 piece cap
I like the half bath for the bunks
Dislike the outside kitchen, that’s just not my thing
Dislike it’s not a 3 axle, 2 is pushing the limit in my opinion.
Dislike the passenger slide. The second awning is going to hit a tree at a campground.
    Definitely a family TT

Great floor plan. Like the J lounge and the kids' room very much. This looks like a great value though maybe too much; the interior appointments (cabinets & trim) look cheap.

Another entertaining video. I think this trailer is amazing! Definitely putting it on my list of possibilities.

CPAP machines with humidifiers need to be below pillow level not up near the ceiling. You want moisture draining back to the reservoir not not back into your face waking you up.

nice , but you will need a beast to pull this beast.the bunkhouse is nice and open and not closed in. love the jt strong arms are a plus for this. the sell price is good for this towable.the front storage is nice and big and the little storage is a plus. don't like the outdoor kitchen door so high. it has good bedroom storage. like the tv placement. don't like the j lounge.

I have the 18" model and it's very light weight. We pull it with 18" F150 EcoBoost V-6 and its more than enough.

We pull it with a diesel Excursion. Does well, but it does make it work sometimes, depending on the terrain.

I am not a fan of the booth/bed in the bunkhouse, the placement of the sink in the second bathroom (though I understand why it is placed like that), and I am not a fan of the jay lounge. The cabinets aren’t bad but I do prefer the farmhouse motif. Also, I wish they had a fireplace in the main area. They definitely have space for it. I love the kitchen, the storage space and the fact that they have an oven as well as a residential fridge. Also, the price is amazing.

    1. have to agree with the carpet. I have pets and carpet may be a deal breaker for me (allergies)
    2. shower in MB. Not all of us are as petite as Andrea

The L shape sofa is the way to go. I wish the couch in the kids bed room was also a bunk. Thats the only thing that broke the deal for us. I need to sleep 3 kids and a mother in law in that back bed room.

Bunk room would be awesome for family/friends
    Legit outdoor kitchen
Amazing layout, great kitchen/lounge area, great value overall
    3 dislikes:
I may have missed it, but it looks not to be solar-ready & no house batteries
Would like a pull for that outdoor kitchen gate, but an easy fix
Niggling, but the decor is bland, & I'm not wild about the stovetop backsplash, counters, etc.

Also, a range + a bigger convection microwave oven vice the setup you showed.

Love this trailer, but please don't let anyone buy one of these that owns a half ton anything. This trailer set to go camping will have a tongue weight around 1600lbs.... or more. Also, trying to dry camp will require a bunch of batteries and solar panels to keep your food from spoiling in that resi fridge. Did Open Range plumb the sink in the outdoor kitchen into a grey tank? Or does it still drain onto the ground? All in all, a great travel trailer. I love the bunkhouse.
