    I have just retuned from a 5000km trip from Malaysia up to the Mae Hon Song Loop (Northernmost Thailand) and back and went through all weather conditions nature could throw at us as well as all road conditions including dirt and gravel roads and have to say how happy I was with the OS 32 and OS 22 bags! All my contents inside were in immaculate condition and the bags have been a gem! Absolutely love them and they are easy to install and I had no problems whatsoever with them! I prefer the soft bags to the aluminium boxes and with these you can stuff more things into them and they are really tough and can handle anything! Thanks Kriega! Love your products!

    I'm sold! Great system, I have been comparing soft luggage recently for a trip on a Triumph 1200 Scrambler XE down the Great Continental Divide trail from Canada to New Mexico this summer and this looks like a really good solution.

    Another great one. Thanks Jamie and I have the same Kriega system as well. Used it for over a year and it has been FLAWLESS!

    I’ve got an original Kriega R35 back pack which I’ve had for about 15 years now. That is easily the best backpack on sale anywhere in the world. It’s been all over the world with me, but as a travel pack when flying. I used it on my bike for 7 years and it was always comfortable and cinched in nicely to my back. It looked like a Special Forces pack. So imagine my disappointment when I look at these Kriega Overlander bags. The strap that runs under the bag is exposed on the edge where the bottom meets the side. An off on tarmac could easily abrade the strap causing it to snap. If it snaps, you’ve got your bag heading down the road. I’m afraid when I order my new GS Adv in spring 2021, I won’t be using the Kriega Overlanders. It’s a real shame since I still love my Kriega R35 back pack.

    Well thought out system which gives you many bag off brand options. Many people commented on the Mosko Moto system being better. With Mosko you're a slave to only their brand. The Kriega OS platform is pre-drilled for most popular hard and soft bags other than just Kriega. Buy the sw-motech evo buttons and you have an hard case option same with Givi.
    Another plus was my bag dilemma. My only option on my Valkyrie was the Honda factory or Corbin route. I purchased the Honda framework and the Kriega OS plate fit perfectly over it which gave me endless bag options, even Rotopax gas and water tanks. I will eventually do the same with my other bikes making it universal. Great system.

      The Mosko plates have pucks that make the plates easy removed from SW Motech Pro or Evo racks, and hard cases can be directly mounted. The Kriega plates would need to be mounted to the Pro racks and then the Motech buttons mounted to the plates.
      Seems like you're stuck with those big Kriega plates

    Soft bags are a must on adventure bikes. Hard box will bust when you fall over. We all fall over from time to time

      I’ve dropped my Trax Adventure numerous times and never had an issue with damage or injury. It’s a great marketing angle, but I use my Trax more often than I use my Mosko Moto and Kriega, as they’re very secure, easier to pack and unpack, and make a great bench and table.

    Love my rackless Kriega 20/30/20 combo for ADV riding. Never failed to stay attached after adding one set of rokstraps ($16) for a little more flex support. These mounted bags look the ticket though if you have racks.

    Nice bags, but attaching it to the bike seems like a struggle. Mosko does it much better with the snap in adapter.

    Thanx for the vid. I guess my question would be if they are easily repairable like some other soft bags?!

  • @sunnyvalejedi
    @sunnyvalejedi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Moskos are within $70 once you add those goofy plates, PLUS you're attaching them with straps... I'd like these better if they had a better latch system, or didn't need the plates, OR cost $2-300 less. $590 + $180 for plates = $770 for a soft bag that isn't that convenient, compared to Mosko Moto for $850.

    only problem I see with that system is security risk if you do a long distance ride for days or weeks .as said in video easy to remove so if are not carful stuff can get nicked under 10 seconds flat other than that it look like a great soft bag/ 1min in video to see my point of view

      any soft panniers can be cut with knife and take stuff out. doesn't need be removed.

    Mosko Moto: $735
    Kriegas with mounting plates: $760
    SW Motech Sysbag 30 with mounting plates: $500
    I think the Kriegas look great but are are priced way too high.

    • @MrWizardofozzz

      I would suggest the Givi Canyon(Grt709) saddle bags above these.. Slightly cheaper than the Mosko Moto and Kriegas at $625 ..

    • @SsiolisP

      As of now (for Europe) the Mosko through international retailer stand at $1037 (€886 euro). ($30 shipping included)
      The 32 litre Kriega OS32 with mounting plates (EU-national retailer) stand at $885 (€756),
      and if ordered immediately receive an 8% discount bringing the price to $814 (€695). (free shipping)
      It really seems that pricing depends on location, but still $223 is an enormous difference.
      (Interestingly, the Steelcore locks if ordered directly from the US, including shipping, are $12 cheaper than if ordered from within the EU.)

    I like Kriega, I have the on road system which I use for short trips. But I’d go for Mosko Moto over this. I have their 40L duffle bag with beaver tail storage and it’s great, albeit a little heavy.
    TBH I actually use my SW Motech Trax Adventure on long trips...4 months in 2018, Russia, Kazakhstan, etc...don’t overlook a good hard set. Dropped mine a few times, they’re very tough, completely waterproof, and actually lighter than Mosko and MotoBags. I’m not at all worried about the supposed safety risk with hard panniers if I crash, I think they pose no greater risk than the crash itself.

      Its bloody expensive stuff and it was painful spending £600 quid on bags, but having put them through the ringer they are worth every penny.
      So glad I shelled out for Kriega kit.

  • @ssmith954
    @ssmith954 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have Kriega panniers but to be honest am not really impressed with the overall quality. Would not trust these for more than a few hard trips.
    Have a tank bag from Enduristan -- quality is much much better and may look at their panniers. Mosko Moto also seem better though haven;t seen those.

    I do not see why side soft bags are a necessity for long distances. When you topple over, your fragile items like laptop screens are gonna get smashed. Also, it looks like its easily stolen off from the mount, when you leave the bike alone.
    All these cons + spending more that 600 Pounds for a set is unnecessary.
    Especially the Stock BMW aluminium boxes are sturdy as hell, why spend more?

    • @Whos-That-Guy
      @Whos-That-Guy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you ding a aluminium box it's a pain where as if you get your leg caught under one, you'll take soft bags next time.... also, leave the laptop at home or if you absolutely have to take it then put it in a rear seat bag. Very rarely do most people leave there bikes unattended for long periods when adventure riding so it's a relatively small risk using soft bags and if you do just take the expensive stuff with you in a back pack.. If your only going by sealed roads then sure hard bags, but off road then soft every time.

    When travelling in a third world country on a 15 gran piece of gear you just attract attention.... unless you don't travel and just pose..... Travel simple, buy industrial gear, those things are too expensive ,avoid.

    Kriega OS so much better than the mosko Moto. Mosko are too wide, have too many straps and weigh a tonne.

  • @cruisingthethaiway6881
    @cruisingthethaiway6881 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It takes to long to mount. That's a major pain in the ass. Should take less than 5 seconds with security.

  • @bdg88
    @bdg88 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks tedious to be honest. Mosko Moto's system is a lot quicker.

    • @ronanrogers4127
      @ronanrogers4127 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Mosko‘s molle design and the great beaver tail are much better too. I have the Kriega on road and use the 10L for day trips to hold my tool roll, electric pump etc...never really used the 20L bags, although they’d be good on sport bikes. In most situations I actually prefer my Trax Adventure, even for gnarly offroad and water crossings, as they’re very strong, secure, and make a great bench and table at campsite.

    • @thewoodster8607
      @thewoodster8607 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree but it's a lot cheaper. Less than half the price. The bags themselves are very similar but the MM fitting kit is vastly superior.

    Bumot. No mounting plates left on the bike, use OEM frames, comes with top locking system. Do your research and make your choice 😎
    P.s. I do have the Kriega US5, which I carry an edc and first aid. That straps on the top of everything. And I have a backpack which is great. Kriega make good stuff.
