I love Norm Macdonald. He's actually a pretty smart guy who reads a lot of books, which you can tell by him knowing the Andy Warhol quote. He's not that dumb thinking it was actually an Andy Williams quote. The fact, that he's willing to play the dumb guy, even though he's not, makes him one of the gratest comedians ever in my mind.

@Chuck Norris Soft? My sense of humor is soft? Compared to it being hard? Like yours? What is a hard humor like and what's a soft? Is soft sarcastic and passive aggressive? Sure I have soft sense of humor. Where hard humor is the potty jokes, the knock knock jokes, the chicken crossing the road and the old but reliable hard humor favorite.. the awkward random loud yell of a racial slur for no reason what so ever.
I actually thought the ending was hilarious but I can understand why it would make people uncomfortable. Patrice knew Louie was joking. It's all about context and the relationship you have with someone.
Yah, watching it now (and in England), it's out of context. But Patrice, LouisCK, and all the guys in that room knew each other really well (all the guys in that room during the Opie and Anthony show had a very similar, shocking sense of humour). It is funny to see it here so out of context.
@@GBrimstone Don't be condescending. Free speech is important, and if you think it's fantastic that wimps are uncomfortable at comedians laughing about a naughty word, then maybe its you that needs an education.
Whats lost in that last clip with Patrice and Louis CK, were all the Mexican and Jewish jokes Patrice was flinging at Louis CK for about half an hour before CK came out with his N word thing. CK was talking about how he was half Mexican, and his grandfather was Jewish. And, the two of them are friends, so they were really just taking the piss out of each other.
Lol that last joke sucked the air out of the room. If you notice all involved were laughing. Thats what comedy is, if you cant laugh at yourself, you cant laugh at others. My motto about comedy is this, "If you've ever laughed at something that someone else may find offensive, then you have no right to get offended."
It's hard to tell someone where to begin with Norm...try 'The Swedish German' bit on Conan...my fav podcast ever is Norm vs some bloke named Stephen Merchant...Merchant closes by saying, 'Well, at least this appearance saves me a visit to my senile Uncle'. Norm is hard to describe, he made Merchant laugh at shooting children and a Letterman audience laugh at his own father's death. He is the greatest American talk show guest. He told a 5-minute joke on Conan and roasted a roast and both became legend. He is unique, Not for everyone, but if you like him you love him. He would do these insane one-man plays with voices and characters, He could act, do impersonations, do it all really...not always funny to me, but there is a reason he's revered. He does a bit with a wino and a junkie that is actually deeply touching..I have no idea his intent behind it, and don't care
