I purchased a Cambridge KJV PItt Minion Bible in Waukegan, IL in June 1963. The following year my Pitt Minion travelled with me throughout the Pacific. My homeport was Apra Harbor Guam. We patrolled from Guam north through the Marianas Islands, then Bonin Islands and Iwo Jima then to Yokosuka. Our next patrol covered the east and west Caroline Islands including Truk Atoll, Koror Palau and dozens of other Caroline Islands.
Our next patrol took us to Rabaul, Papua New Guinea, the Island Japanese Adm. Yamamoto flew out of just before being shot down. We cruised to Sydney, Australia, then to Pago Pago Samoa passing through the Solomon Islands on the way to Sydney. The following year we patrolled Vietnam from the DMZ, down the coast to Danang, Quang Nai, Qui Nhon, Tuy Hoa, Nha Trang, Phan Rang, Vung Tao, then south of the delta into the Gulf of Thailand with a final stop at Phu Quoc Island before cruising to Subic Bay, Philippines for service in the dry dock.
My Pitt Minion with its hand-grained Morocco Leather Cover remains with me to this day in excellent condition.

I am glad you did a comparison, Beau, thanks. I ordered my Cambridge KJV Pitt Minion last night, and looking at this video, and am glad I did because whilst the Schuyler is a lovely bible (I have the new Treveris and reviewed it) I wanted a small bible for certain reading situations when I don't want to be holding up a large bible because I rarely read at a table. I must say, despite the technicalities of type size, the clarity and contrast of legibility looks so much better in the Pitt Minion than the Schuyler. I am in Australia and now have a 2 week wait!

Schuyler (Sky-ler) makes an outstanding Bible. The quality and craftsmanship is unsurpassed. In my opinion it even beats R. L. Allan and Cambridge (although all 3 are excellent). I especially like the larger print (11 point milo font--which is great for my poor eye-sight). And I like the thickness of the paper--prevents bleed-through from writing or high-lighters. I have the KJV and the ESV (Firebrick red goatskin--which is absolutely gorgeous). I am sold in Schuyler bibles. I think they make the best bible that money can buy (and believe me I have a ton of bibles from numerous publishers). I just wish Schuyler made a full-yapp bible. I would buy it in a Nano-second.

The Cambridge Emerald is another frat option. The font is very readable for me. I’ve had all three. Thanks for the information.

Schuyler definitely makes a more reader-friendly bible in terms of font size. I'm looking forward to the Schuyler Quentel Personal Size NKJV due this fall (Oct. 2018). But in all honesty, I love Cambridge bibles and if they produced a NKJV Pitt-Minion in an 8 point (or larger) font, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. However, I'm too old to hold my breath waiting for that to happen, so it looks like I'll be purchasing the Schuyler NKJV PSQ this fall.

@@donaldwortham6227 Yes, in the KJV but not the NKJV. I'd love to see Cambridge do the Concord in other translations. The Concord is a great Bible.

If legibility isn’t an issue and had to choose between these 2 bible types, which would you take as the most convenient travel size around the world? I ask since I had laser eye surgery and can read them both as well!

Would the Cambridge Clarion be a better comparison to the PSQ?

Yes. Check out the end of this video... th-cam.com/video/3hOZ9OdvFeg/w-d-xo.html Granted, in the video, I'm comparing a calfskin PSQ to the Clarion, not a goatskin PSQ.
