The intro is from the song 'Puppet on a String', won the Eurovision many many years ago. Jade had said she's been wanting to sample it for quite a while now. The pre-chorus melody is very reminiscent of the melody from Puppet on a String also!

Check out the movie Last Night in Soho. There's a segment in which involves Anya Taylor-Joy lip-synching to Puppet on a String, and really explores the underbelly of "entertainment" industry, which is related to the meaning of Angel of My Dreams.
she talks about the industry. Girls were told to flirt with men to promote their music on radio. their label was on perries ass to make her the lead and all the girls didnt want that including perrie so their label sabotaged their album lm5. they didnt do their music videos (wasabi) sabotaged it many ways. jade shows rawly how it is in backstage of music industry especially for women. and the way all 3 of jades in the video sees another girl starts the same journey and knowing they are gonna be replaced and waves to her younger şnnocent self is just pure art. she is so brave for this. and she says sold my soul to phsco. syco was their label. she is so honest and brave

It's about the industry and how it uses people and discards them even though by time that happens the artist is already addicted, but also Simon Cowell, 'sold my soul to a 'sy-co' (his label) and she signs a contract in blud aka a blud contract which is a slang term for the type of contact she was signed to.. its pretty much the worst kind lol
