Hello Bill lovely to see your cheerful face 😊 thankyou for the super video and for the pics from John . Enjoyed your sea wall stroll and good to see Rufus he's looking well. Enjoyed seeing all of the trains including the happy one yay . I hope Mum is continuing to improve Bill. Have a lovely Saturday afternoon and stay safe and warm . I'll see you tomorrow Bill ❤😊xx
Great stuff as usual Bill and some wonderful old photos and yes when I walked down the front this afternoon, it certainly would look better like that .
Hello Bill a grey day, but never mind you still got out and we saw all those lovely flowers 💐 on John's photos 📸 to brighten the day. It is such a shame to have gravel instead of flower beds, not good for the environment either, we're loosing all the insects and butterflies 😢. Teignbean doing well, plenty of people about. We'll done Kimba, I do hope the eggs 🥚 stay safe. Nice to see Rufus bless him .and no shortage of trains. I'm good at cutting hair pity I'm not nearer see you tomorrow Carol
Cheers Carol - Yes, the gravel isnt a patch on the flowers! Someone else described them as giant cat-litter trays! Sounds appropriate! Cheers for the haircut offer 👍 See you tomorrow 👍
Hi Bill, lovely pics from John. They do look better then as flower beds than they do now full of gravel, these days they look like super sized cat litter trays. The Plymouth train being waved at on the seawall might not have been unhappy because the driver was very happy giving a big wave back. See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍
Lovely photos Bill. Have you got any of the sunken gardens? When I was a nipper the Salvation Army used to play there of a Sunday afternoon, and I used to go and listen with my family. Happy days!!
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth From what I remember the sunken gardens used to be were the raised gardens are now on the seafront, just along from the pier. There where steps down with stone walls and a (wishing) well in the centre. I am probably taking about the late fifties, early sixties.....
Enjoyed today's walk , Bill and it was good to see the old photos of the flower beds, from John. Looking at the photos I took during my one and only visit in late May, 1988, there were lawns and beds ready for planting in that area. Good to see Rufus and yourself! 😊
Hi Bill , nice video . Liked the old pictures I remember the deckchairs and flowers. Can’t believe how much your hair as grown 😊 Hope you weren’t affected too much by yesterdays storm, we were ok in Warwickshire.
Hi Linda - I was effected actually - Roof started leaking in the middle of the night - Right above my computer! Luckily I got to it in time - That was 6 in the morning - I hate to think of what would have happened, had I nor woken up! 👍👍👍 You'll hear all about it in upcoming videos 👍
A grey day alert, oh well never mind - Keen on Teign lovely - It's a 5 eggsactly from Kimba & Bert yay - Lovely colour pics from John, those were the days of glorious flower displays and the seafront looked much better beautiful infact 🌷🌻🐝🌹- Coffee is bubbling away at the Teignbean, and people and trains aplenty excellent - Not all trains are happy, or maybe their hooters are broke 📢🔧 - Ahh there's Rufus and he's got the Spray point bird hotel to himself, lovely little chap - Happy train, his hooters 📢working yay - The train named after Peter West OBE, 1920-2003, freelance British sports commentator for Cricket, Rugby, Hockey, I remember him, a very nice man, R.I.P. - A lidl more shopping to do, and thanks for the tour around this day Bill 👍👏👋
@@Trekon2 Sadly it's not that Peter West, unfortunately, the train is named after some railway official. I looked it up a few weeks ago when Bill filmed in the station. I didn't post anything then because I was hoping that it was the commentator. 😄😄😄
As a Kid I took all the Floral Displays at Holiday destinations for Granted as it didn’t interest me, but it’s very evocative to be reminded of how fine the Town Looked and Great times we had 👍🏻
