I also remember hearing this whilst I did my homework. I think it was a Thursday evening in November 1968. The original programme went on for at least an hour - possibly two. Of course, this recording has been air-checked.

Memories! Thanks for sharing! I listened to this show on my car radio, which had valves, yep valves! LOL. My car radio had much better reception than my home radio! :-)

I heard this exact programme in Sydney NSW Australia on 2SM Sydney NSW back on December 14, 1968 and actually recorded some of it on cassette tape at the time. It brings back some great memories.

The staticky quality of this recording has a wonderful Cold War/Radio Free Europe feel to it.

White album was the best... great composer - John was my favourite but with maturity and insight doccies realized Paul was the talent of note and a good man...Linda and he were so suited...

As a Beatle fan since 1964, the White Album was my worst Beatle album. My favorite was Revolver.

Yes, who'd have thought that in the next couple of years Paul would commence his half century journey of turning out forgettable album after forgettabe album with a zeal that surely indicates it was by some sort of perverse design. Loved the White Album, most notably because it contained the finest Beatle song ever produced, and from a least expected source, Long, Long, Long by my favorite, Beatle George.

@@rogermurray8553 Paul’s albums aren’t forgettable. There’s RAM, Band on the Run, the 3 McCartney albums, Flaming Pie, Chaos and Creation, and so much more.

I think this was an Idea or silly rumour that came about in the USA....it was never an issue in Britain!

    • @BigSky1

denporterHDproductions It began on a radio station in the U.S in about October 1969 just after Abbey Road came out. Americans looking for stupid clues. Paul would have been ‘28 IF’ VW car reg. if he had lived which is nonsense because he was 27 at the time and then also he was supposed to have died in late 1966 because he came of a motorbike in early ‘66 (which is true) but like like Dylan he survived . So how does 1966 compute with 1969 and a car ref. that is incorrect as well as lots of other tripe. Now it has spread to the UK with people saying one Billy Shears (get the name) is the real Paul McCartney. Utter claptrap and codswallop and people believe this crap because they are insecure and need something else to hold onto. I bet Paul McCartney doesn’t for one minute concern himself with any of it and quite rightly so. Nutters!
