Very interesting. I have been studying a lot about the Eastern Front, specially about the German side of the War. For me, anyone who was there fighting for what they thought was right was a hero, and your grandfather is no exception... Thanks for sharing that with me.
@Tipsy327 LSD? Lol no, a hardcore hallucinogenic would not be benficial for combat. Not to mention it wasn't marketed until 1947. You're thinking of Methamphetamine, which was given to Germans under the brand name Perviten. It was 5mg mixed which chocolate. And it vastly improved soldiers alertness and combat skills. However, not only the Germans used Methamphetamine, just about every side issued the drug...Namely to pilots. (Yes even The Allies)
The british army actually conducted an experiment to see the effects of LSD on troops undergoing an assault mission using royal marines (of course it was a training mission) but the effects were negative and the troops were ruled out as an effective fighting force. After that they decided to see if they could use LSD as a weapon to eliminate the enemies ability to fight, but didn't continue with the research.
Their is an medicine experimented by german in ww2. It can make the runner run 6 hour without jogging or stop. But it was too late at the end of the war.
Although bombers eventually did, later in the war, manage to blow up some important stuff, for much of the war, bombers had huge death rates and rarely hit within five miles of their targets. That's pretty bad.
German military production actually climbed during the height of american bombing raids due to decentralization and greater organization(Albert Speer took over war production), right up until late 1944 - early 1945 when ground forces overran production centres. Allied bombing was primarily targeted at civilian centres, but it didn't work. To give you an example, the German BF-109, with production peaking during 1944, is the most produced fighter aircraft in history, with 33,984 aircraft built.
i know its 10 years but to say the bf109 there mostly on the ground because the german were unable to make aviation fuel in numbers because its hard to get it from coal. also albert speer did harvest the fruit of his successors
I like the song! Heh... "unstoppable" ill give'em one, it was true in 4 years. Poor Wehrmact soldiers... They were mostly forced to fight. And if they didnt join the fight they would be shot. They are a force full of heroes!
+K4R1Mable I love when you get shot and the camera falling with your character , in Red orchestra Ostfront shooting is really hard , idk some time Red Orchestra 2 made it more easy , Red orchestra 1 have more tank and vehicles . Reload time is more realistic than Ro2, one thing i love about Ro 2 is inside the tank , i don't really like the cove system in Ro2, Ro1 give me the felling in the Battlefield , Ro2 made me felling like Call of duty ... dunno maybe these is a lot of small maps ! last time i quit i remember they update to Rising Storm . Does anyone still playing Red orchestra 2 ? did they update airplane to the game ?
What an amazing game with an amazing soundtrack. RIP Red Orchestra 2.
There’s almost always a full server so I wouldn’t say it’s dead yet
today is exactly 80 years since the end of this great battle
@@Nika_Nikonova May the good lord have mercy upon both belligerents
0:45 i just wish there are whole soundtracks like this
Sieg UND macht
Befeuren den geist
Sieg UND macht
Lähmen der feind
@Rookie victory and might
flame the spirit
victory and might
paralyze the enemy

Unstoppable Wehrmacht vs Unbreakable Red Army.
Methamphetamine is still used by pilots in most armies.
1:48 for the fatherland!
Sieg und Macht
Befeuern den Geist
Sieg und Macht
Lähmen den Feind
Victory and power
Fire up the spirit
Victory and power
Stun the enemy
this soundtrack does not help the fact that the Wehrmacht constantly keeps getting rekt on the last point of "bridges of druzhina"
Who else could see this playing in Hearts of Iron 2?

And depressed rural regions. Basically anywhere where there are young men who dont feel they have a very good future ahead of them.

THANK YOU! I could tell it as in German, but my speakers are so bad I couldn't tell what they were saying :-/
Sorry to hear that... People can be such ignorants sometimes.
Greetings from Brazil. :)
You just destroyed him. I salute you.
Lol he meant "limited slip deffirential"
00:45 The fact that its lyrics were German and it was sung in the style of Russian choir makes this soundtrack looks ironic to me
How else would you get bomber pilots to pilot bombers? That shit was both suicidal and almost pointless.
100 grams of vodka before assault for Soviet Union. It's like a tradition.
So Chocolate is an even better distribution front than a fried chicken chain?

+Luther Frédéric ro2 is like cod
Both are good games, ro1 is very clunky but its very fun to play, the 2nd one is more strategic but more epic.
