We appreciate your support and happy that you enjoy our tutorials! Thank you for your comment! - Abby
I'm confused, did something happen to Jen?
A new lady at my church’s prayer quilt ministry is new to quilting and i Think this is the first thing she made recently. She did a super job based on your instructions.
Thank you so much for this kind feedback! We're happy you enjoy our fun tutorials :) -Michelle
I'm going to need that adorable pink machine!!!!!!!!!
We're glad you like it! It's a Singer Featherweight that Jen had custom powder coated pink :) -Michelle
These bags are great for the rail of hospital beds. I have made many for nursing homes. Put a loop on to tie the phone card charger onto.
What a wonderful suggestion!! Thank you for watching! 💖 -Michelle
Great video! I’m making this for my sister in law for her walker. Thank you for the great instructions.
We're very happy this project inspires you! Thanks so much for watching! -Michelle
such a beautiful caddy- I am making one for my 88 yr old mom, who is now using a walker to get around. Thank you!
What a lovely idea! Thank you for sharing, Patricia! - Sophie
This is the first project I've done any kind of quilting and binding like this on. A lady at church asked if I would make her a walker/wheelchair caddy and after watching a lot of videos I settled on this one. I'm using up some jelly roll strips for the binding and the pockets are made with denim from jeans that didn't fit anymore. She said just tell her how much she owes and she'll pay me. If I set a price that would pay for my time she wouldn't be able to afford it. 😂 Between the leftovers from other projects, a hand-me-down pre-quilted piece big enough for the backing, and recycled jeans, I don't have a lot of money in materials.
I started a log cabin quilt about a year ago but never got past making the blocks. Now I feel like maybe I can finish it.
Sounds like a beautiful caddy you made for her! I bet she loved it! We believe in you! That log cabin quilt will be amazing! We appreciate your support and comment! 😊 - Abby
I just came across your video the other day. My mom fell broke her hip. She has a walker with a seat. Her Dr said no more and having her use a different kind. So I made the caddy for it. It's shipped off. Thanks. I hope it fits the walker she now has. Lol. She is in assisted living, we are in a different state. Can't get away. Thanks for your video. It turned out nice.
Thank you so much for sharing this touching story with us. We're happy this project inspired you! -Michelle
I'm with you Jennifer! I much rather watch my directions than read them! #ThankGoodnessForTH-cam!
+Sharon Pucci Same here! I'm a visual learner and find the TH-cam vids a lot easier to follow.
+Sharon Pucci that is so great to hear! We can learn so much from TH-cam!
Sherry Bora m
Sharon Pucci lols it’s such a coincidence that I’m just as organized as you and love being creative with the victorian dresses I make and your company name is my initials and it has my most favorite flower roses lols
Also thank you for making this video I’m having to go by a paper pattern cause I’m making my bfs mother one to attach to her walker
And I’ve never been shown how to use a paper pattern b4 ever
You cleared up alot of my confusion
This would be a perfect idea to give out at local nursing homes. The residents would love them!
What a lovely idea! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have to say, I’ve been taught so many ways of doing binding, and I can never get that “A” they say to do at the end. So I always just machine stitch my binding. Till I found this video. Folding the end first then nesting is so much easier than the other way, and I did my first binding by hand after 5 years of learning how to quilt. I actually enjoy binding now. Thank you so much for this
We're so happy to hear that this video helped you with your biding!! It's so exciting to find something that makes a technique click.
I love this project! I can't wait to make a couple of these, for myself and presents! I too am a pink person and love everything breast cancer awareness!
+Sherry Walley that is so great to hear! There will never be a shortage of pink fabrics and notions here at Shabby Fabrics!
Love this caddy. It went together easily and they turned out great😊 I made two of them one for my stepdaughter & one for her husband. I plan to make a couple more for other family members. :)
We're so glad you enjoy this making this fun caddy. Thanks so much for watching! -Michelle
You clarified everything about binding and pockets for me! Thank you!
+Jena Pope so happy to hear that! Those little tid-bits can make all the difference!
Jena Pope
Would you please give me the website
I watched this video for the 2nd time today and noticed that cool loop in your thread when sewing down the binding! Thanks for your great videos, fabrics and inspiration!
You're very welcome! :)
Fantastic videos! Have to add the binding and Catch-All Caddy will finished for our friend Don who is using a walker since falling & back home in independent living in a Retirement Community who is 94 years young. Don mentioned to me that he didn't care to use the caddy his wife had because of the flowered fabrics. I used sports & star fabrics.
That's such a great item to make for your friend Don, and we love that you personalized it for him with new fabrics. Sending Don our best! Thank you for sharing your project and watching. Let us know if you'd like to see anything specific. - Morgan
I love the fabrics you use for this project.
wonder clips are one of my top five tools. I keep a container of 200 in mixed colors . They also work great to hold your ear bud wires safely together for storage.
What a great tip! We love wonder clips, too!!

Love all your videos. Going to try making this organizer today. Thank you for such amazing videos! 😘
So happy to hear you are loving our videos! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much , just what I was looking for. I made one that turned out really cute. My twist on the pattern was to sew the bottom and the top of the pockets to form a tube. Then I pressed it so the lining would show about an 1 1/2 on top to look like it was binding. I don’t know how to send you a picture or I would. Thanks again, I like everything you do.
What a fun twist! You can always share photos with us on Facebook! Or tag us on Instagram :)
your videos are seriously the best!!!!
+Suezee Owen thank you so much for your kind words!

Great directions! I have made two already and they are loved!😀
We're so happy to hear that! Thank you so much for watching! - Morgan
Un gran trabajo!! Desde España
+Ilenia Clofent Gracias tanto por mirar! Bendiciones!
Great video !!!! thankyou. By the way I absolutly love your little pink sewing machine
+Marilyn Ray thank you so much! That machine is a genuine 1939 Singer Featherweight that has been restored and painted!
I love this and the Fabrics are gorgeous but how what I put a stiff backing on both sides so it would stand up on its own in the display you have it over some small hand cart to hold it up but it would be neat if you could stand it up like a teepee how would you add a pocket to the back and what would you insert to make it stiff
+Ruth Freeman you may be able to use stiff interfacing to make it stand but with supplies added, it probably wouldn't hold up. I think you would need something under it no matter what to make it upright. Adding a pocket to the back would be done the exact same way as adding a pocket to the front. Thank you for watching!
Hi Jennifer,
Just made the caddy for my sister's walker as she has MS, she loves it. You are very easy to follow and I'm back into sewing and quilting again since 30 years ago. Do you have anywhere to post a picture of our finished projects to show off to you.
Anne
That is so amazing! You can post a picture on our Facebook page: facebook.com/shabbyfabrics/
Beautiful fabrics!!
Thank you! :) - Morgan
Thank you so much. I love this video. I'm making these for my mom's walker and plan on making her one for each holiday too. She LOVES holiday decor. Also, where did you find that pink sewing machine. SQUEAL!
We're very happy this project has inspired you! Jen's sewing machine is a Singer Featherweight that she had custom powder coated pink. Glad you enjoy it!! -Michelle
Love all your videos! You're an inspiration as I'm a brand new quilter. Question-Would you be able to use double-sided fusible interfacing rather than the basting spray.
Yes, if that is what you are comfortable with, you can absolutely use that! Thank you so much for watching our videos and getting inspired along with us!
thinking if you don't want to do binding on the finished portion you could add another layer of fabric same size and leave a spot to turn and then top stitch.
You could absolutely do that but you will lose a bit of your area in the seam allowance as well as have quite a bit of bulk at the edges. If you don't mind those things, it is a great technique :)
Please tell me about that pretty pink sewing machine Jennifer is using! It is really beautiful and I hope easily available.
That is a Singer Breast Cancer Featherweight machine. You can find more information via a google search on where it may be available. Stay safe! ~Leah
What brand and model is your sewing machine? Thanks for all the great videos!
Hello! That's a Singer Featherweight that Jen had powder coated in that lovely pink! - Morgan

Hi Jennifer, I love the fabrics and the project!! What is the name of the fabric behind you on your right? The white fabric next to the dark green. It looks like it has some gardening tools.
+Martha Cymbaluk that is a fabric from the beautiful Thyme with Friends collection! Here is a link to the collection which has lots of gardening themed prints (the one I believe you are referring to is towards the bottom left of the page): www.shabbyfabrics.com/Maywood-Studio/Thyme-With-Friends.aspx
Thank you!...Yes it is the one I was referring to. I will have to purchase some. :)
Thanks
Thank you for watching! - Morgan
I've watched many of your videos and always marvel at that tiny iron. where can I find one?
+Pamela DuBois this is a great little iron. Here is a link to it: www.amazon.com/Small-Mini-Iron-Non-Stick-Extra-Long/dp/B01AK9ZUGO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461173491&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=travel+iron&psc=1
+Shabby Fabrics thank you so much. I have such a small space that this little iron will be a dream for sewing!
I love that little iron too
thank u!
+Betty Ochoa And thank YOU for watching. It's really a joy to share all of these fun projects with the world! Many Blessings to you my friend, Jen :)
The size to trim it down to: is NOWHERE on the download, all the download gives is the size of the cutting for the front, back, large pocket, small pocket and the size of fusible fleece to correspond to the each of these
What are you referring to when you say "size to trim it down to"? If you could give us a specific time in the video we would love to help :)
Since I get my fabric by the yard, how many yards of each fabric you use in this video for each thing should I buy?
If you only buy in full yards, then a yard of each fabric will be plenty!
If you buy half yards you will buy:
A yard of the main body fabric
1/2 yard of all other fabrics (pockets, trim & binding)
Here is the cutting guide: www.shabbyfabrics.com/Assets/Downloads/CaddyOrganizer_forDownload.pdf
thank you very much!
Also looking for this pattern on your website. When I click on the link for Catch-All Caddy Organizer, it takes me to a different pattern.

Just keep scrolling, you will find it, I did.
Hi Jennifer ... I love the way you explain projects. Is the color of your Featherweight 221 Ruthie Pink? PINK is my favorite color. Did they do it or you?
Thank you for watching! Jen had the machine coated by this guy: Deskdave.com
It's so much fun!
Love your sewing machine and where did you find sewing machine. And also so neat caddy organizations
That is a 1939 Singer Featherweight from DeskDave.com! He has a whole rainbow of machines (this one is in the color 'Rose Petal Pink') and you can see them all here: deskdave.com/Cornucopia.htm
you mentioned that the trimming measurements would be included with the download. They are not, are those measurements included anywhere?
You can find all of the cutting measurements on the free download for this project here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/Assets/Downloads/CaddyOrganizer_forDownload.pdf
Yes, but where are the trimming measurements?
Which part of the video are you referring to so we can better understand your question?
Brenda Allen at approx 4 min 50 seconds Jennifer says to trim down to 14 × 24.5 inches. We then work on the pockets which are back to 14.5 inches. She never seems to say anything about trimming the pockets down...
On walkers I used Velcro on the catch all instead of the ribbon. 😃
+Gail Lewis that is a great idea!! Thank you so much for watching and sharing that useful tip with all of us!
I searched for the pattern download, as you instructed, could not find it
Hi Cyndy! It's on our Free Downloads page, but it can be hard to find, so I've included the direct link for you here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/Assets/Downloads/CaddyOrganizer_forDownload.pdf

where did you purchase the pink sewing machine?
+Rachelle Trump There's a company online somewhere that either builds them and then paints them in a custom color for you, or you send them in and they color them. I've been to the site before but I cannot find it again. You can also find the custom painted featherweights on eBay. EDIT: featherweightsincolor.com is one of the places.
I have my grandmother's featherweight and can't imagine getting it repainted, but I do think they are really cute in different colors.
+Rachelle Trump this is a 1939 Singer Featherweight that Jen had refurbished. The company that refurbished it also sells a whole rainbow of machines: deskdave.com/Cornucopia.htm
