Hi Ryan thank you for the video! You activated Ludicrous mode and automatically lost the warranty. Are you really ok spending about 2000$ on a product without warranty?
It's a valid question, but I believe Mate will ultimately stand behind the product. I think its designed to scare people more than anything. To be safe and protect the motor and battery, I recommend adjusting the current limit from 25 Amps to 20 Amps (see my second video which I just posted). That will increase distance per charge and reduce wear and tear on the motor more than ludicrous mode. There's only a slight drop in top speed (to about 28 mph).
You have set the wheelsize to 20", is there a special reason for? In the HowTo video describtion at the Mate X Helpdesk Center the woman said "make sure your tires are 24".
Hi, I made the video before that recommendation came out. In my more recent video, I recommend changing to 22" or 24" to show the correct speed (I have mine set at 22" now).
@@brunofradamatias I talked to the guys in the Copenhagen store and they told me you have to buy an older screen where you can set the speed limit to 39km/h. So the screen we have right now is programmed not to be able to change the advanced settings even though we can access them. Let me know if you need information on which screen to buy. I’m getting it next month

Lectric XP can also do 28MPH and at $899 I will invest in that. Mate X isn't twice the bike as Lectric XP so it's not worth twice the money. Also Lectric XP has a very efficient 500 watt Strong Motor, 750 motor isn't always better and more efficient either. Mate X has a Bad reputation for bait and switching parts, and even not sending out bikes to people after taking their money. No Thanks Mate X, I:m not taking one for the team, like so many others have.
As long as you have the color display, you can unlock Ludicrous on either the 250 or 750. However, as I understand it, the 250 won't reach much beyond 25 mph due to the reduced power output.

Each bike has the same charging port on the side of the frame (next to the hinge) regardless of screen type. The USB charger is only meant to charge a phone or small electronic device, which is only available on the color display.
@@Xenumiscagive there are trade-offs for every bike. The Fat Bear has a smaller battery (11 Ah vs. 14 Ah) and a smaller motor (500 W vs. 750 W). At $1400 (before shipping) it's slightly less expensive, but not half the price. The Mate X 750 is $1800 (including shipping). The Rad Power Mini is a solid competitor to the Mate X.

With this mode which is the top speed? Is this the extra Mate x flashy color display?
This is the "new" color display (850c). I can get up to about 31 - 32 mph on flat ground with no pedaling.

Yep, a few weeks after I made this video they clarified that Ludicrous Mode would not void the warranty.
