This is the first time I have left a comment on your video. Your video is very important to me, especially during the Covid-19 lockdown in China from 2020 to 2023. This is a prison life of absurdity, crime, violence and fear for all. From time to time I was quarantined at home for long periods of time (week after week without an informing about how long) and there were a severe shortage of food. I stock up on coffee, tea, canned food, and rice and pasta. I set up the tent in the living room, and a lot of the time I lay in the tent with my Brompton outside, using VPN playing your videos to relax my brain. Because we don’t know how long the blockade will last, we may be taken to the isolation camp late at night by the “people who wear white cover”. I prepared my brompton, food and camping tools according to your book instructions. And be prepared to escape by bicycle if necessary and go camping in several places I have planned. Thank god never happen on me, and lockdown finished now (Maybe a pause), I've been on a lot of field trips this year. Fun fact is, even now about one and half year later ... I still not finish the food I stocked. Thank you very much, just let you know your video is life saving (mentally and physically), very unexpected right :)
How kind of you to share this! Covid was really a testing time for all of us and it was sure a relief to have seen the end of it! To have made a small contribution to help you manage those times is humbling. All I do is share my passion and inspire those like who enjoy this type of travel. My best wish to you is that you are now able to get on your Brompton and enjoy some wonderful rides! All the best.
Hello Gianni, I am sure whilst editing this video it must have brought back memories such wonderful journeys and destinations. Enjoyable viewing, thank you. Take care. Paul,,
So wonderful, and I agree with your philosophies about bike riding. I’m travelling solo from Budapest to Scotland on my Brompton, right now I’m in the Occitane region of France. Your videos persuaded me to switch and I have not had any reason to change my mind about my bike, she is working beautifully. Next, I think you’ll have to come and visit us in Australia😊
Thank you. That's quite a ride you are doing yourself! They are really easy bikes to ride and much more reliable than they look like. Have fun and as far as Australia I hope I can make it to there one day... :)
Great video. We watched all of your videos in full length, but it's great to see them snackable cut together. Looking forward what's coming next. ☺️☺️ Regards Ben&Sarah
Did not have a chance to use one but I am sure they are a good option as Radical Design sells good quality products. Can you manage to take them along if you need a flight to get to your starting point? Cheers!
@@BromptonTraveler You can put the Brompton inside the trailer, it’s so good it would give you a whole new concept in backpacking = without doubt very surprised people who do lots of backpacking or camping haven’t caught on to this unit = it’s so good it’s ridiculous.
@@BromptonTraveler It will change your whole travelling experience, try contacting radical design and tell them you would like to do some travel videos and incorporate a bike trailer as the star in the videos , would they be prepared to loan a trailer for review.
Excellent video!! Very well edited and very insping!! I will attempt to do something similar, on a smaller scale,😀 on my 16" dahon folding bike. Before watching your video, I wouldn't imagine something like that! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Great to hear! You can do it! I believe Dahon are not as compact when folded but then they probably help you with better gear range. Maybe have a trial on a short tour first to see how reliable it is. Brompton have the disadvantage of proprietary parts but are otherwise bullet proof.
Hello Gianni, do the airlines accept your backpack as hand luggage? I bought a sea to summit 50l dry river backpack. Won’t pack it fully. Maybe it’s an option for you too. It has great features. Only downside is no place for bottles. And thanks a lot for your Great videos, very inspiring. Watched them all and bought my own Brompton.
That is always a tricky question to answer. Airlines have different policies as far as hand luggage and then it depends if you travel long haul or short haul with a low cost airline. Most airlines on long haul are more lenient with a backpack but I always try to squash mine down as much as possible to make it look as small as I possibly can! On low cost the only option is to pay for some extra luggage to bring on board and usually they are not too fussy as far as you have paid something. Thanks!
Perfect, Welldone Gianni, some nice adventures on the Brompton :) The little bike is more than capable. I missed part one so will go and watch it now:)
1:30 i recognized that view immediately. and you have an india hat on. it that near Leh? more specifically is it the Road to Kardung La pass (used to be the highest road in the world)
That would be Tanglang-La, the second highest but on the Manali-Leh route. Kardung-La I believe starts not far from Leh but didn’t get a chance to do that. Cheers
@@BromptonTraveler yes you are right that wall to your right looks familiar, i though that was tang lang la far in the back ground. or it looks similar. looks like a shark fin
I enjoy your videos. In 1986 i cycled the east coast of the u.s.a. mostly flat. I am a coaster 😊 nice and slow. I did not document it in any way, my loss. Today i am riding a brompton m6r but she doesn't like to coast, mythical brompton drag. Any tips. Thanks, keep on truckin.
Smaller wheels inevitably add to the drag. I find this is more true if you have a Brompton with no luggage. When I carry a bag at the front and one at the back, as I do when I travel, the bike weight does make it roll better. Of course there is a trade in when using a Brompton. Thanks.

Just beautiful! Thank you to take us with you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, I enjoyed every moment.
Most kind and happy you enjoyed it. One more to come before some future trips…
Watching many years changing Hat country flags' patch, and your Brompton journeys. 😁

Surprised to didn’t have a trailer = the chubby is without doubt the best one for the Brompton.

I have a question. What do you mount the camera on so that the steering wheel is in the frame while driving?
Chest harness.
amazing, are you doing a part 3?
Yes, will come in a week or so and will include what is left of past trips, South America, Morocco, Turkey and Pakistan. Cheers!
Amigo how many gears do you have? How big is your chainring and the sprokes and how many Gracia
Six gears. Standard Brompton gearing with a 42 chainring or what they called reduced gear option. Thanks

Not quite, but in my twenties! English still not perfect while Italian got worse! Happy rides on your motorcycle!
