Thank you for all your nice comments. I am not the author of the speech. I am an actor who was hired to deliver the speech. I was told to deliver it sort of stilted, but still understandable. Hope you liked it! To the person who posted this, where did you get it? I've been looking for this video since I recorded it 10 years ago. lol
Hi, I am a professor at a college in Michigan. I downloaded this recording from an instructor’s companion disk to the textbook. I assigned your speech many times as homework to students so I made it available on TH-cam. How funny you found it! You did an excellent job 😊
@@beetlebon99 This speech was assigned to me in school this week in my public speaking class @Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster Pennsylvania. @Chengusoyane Kargbo Very good speak. I am supposed to evaluate your speech. I LOVE IT
Funny thing about this is that this isn't a 6 minute speech. It's a 4 minute speech but spoken clearly and paced softly enough to take up the time smoothly. Not a bad thing, since it shows clear thought into the practice of the speech rather than just the construction.
This was by far one of the best speeches I've heard in a very long time. Congratulations on your well articulated and expertly delivered speech. The topic is also highly relevant. I showed your talk to my 13 year old.
In my speech class we can ONLY have one 5x8 index card, we MUST have a PowerPoint Presentation and some printed literature on our topic with a 20 work cited page. Her presentation is great .... imagine her using a PowerPoint Presentation. You talking about BEYOND EXCELLENT! Great Job! *clapping*
Im completely conviced by this speech! But question, is it really only like when you make a call? That could give more radiation once placed too near your head? I'll for sure tell my family about this.
This is a very good speech, but near the end, she says, ' I'm sure you can't imagine being without it'. Why is that? That's interesting because I hardly use my phone, and only look at it maybe 3-4 times a day. I don't sleep with it, and I definitely don't have it as 'a companion'. I'm not trying to be critical, but I do hope others can find ways to be less dependent on their cell phones one day.
I hate to burst your bubble, but the radiowaves that are produced by cellphones do not cause cancer... X-rays have a higher frequency than radiowaves and that has a risk of causing cancer but radio waves do not pose the risk of causing cancer. Even if this were true, we are constantly surrounded by radio waves on a daily basis via wireless connection... using your cell phone an inch further from your face isn't gonna help. The potential damage from radiowaves you state comes from the fact that higher frequency radiowaves such as microwaves can damage tissue through heat however it does not damage DNA. The radiowaves from cellphones are significantly lower in frequency compared to microwaves, rendering them harmless.
Back in my day, phones were phones! Devices used to call people. Not glorified pocket computers that hold the internet and play games. The camera is facing retirement and its because of the phone of nowadays. Yes, I'm aware that "Back in my day" makes me sound like an old man

#hadtodothisforschool XD
the study she's talking about has been debunked numerous times and I don't know why you would use that in a serious speech about the topic lol
Which study? The 2007 one or the fact that brain tumors can be a result from cell phone use?
She's just an actor, its an example speech
its a school project 🤦♂️
Whos the author of this speech?
the author is the person who read it
The person you hear talking
It’s in a textbook

False. In my time there was no cell phone or internet, and we survived. All we could use were books and encyclopedias; we had to read a lot.
