nice it’s no Hashep Oasis but still cool
That's a nice pull! Rare to see that type of stuff
I have several old, well played mtg cards like this. Never thought it would still be worth money. Dark rituals, counter spell. My best foil pull was an onslaught elvish pioneer. Had several so never played it. Its sleeved and in a deck now.
Damn, those cost like several casual commander decks each now.
HOT DAMN! Nice pull!
"Heavily Played"
You mean, "Properly Sweated with."
Thats a card with history and if it could speak, it would probably say, "i was thrown into the Lego Bin one time and survived."
I dunno, I think that aside from some slight wear on the edges it looks near mint to me
I should probably get it graded
Woah this is awesome i il never play One like this i got in 2023 after buying along the year 4000 . a fechland 400. And a nice force of will V2 in french there Only 2 on card market value easy 63
I'd love to buy bulk hoping to find gems but I always assumed anyone selling bulk knew exactly what they were selling
When my cousin taught me to play, he played 4 of those in his dimir Draingeyser deck. It was hard to win.
Edit to add time frame: They didn't even sell Magic in Texas yet. He brought them down that summer from his LGS in Seattle
The corners arent "gone", thats how Alphas are cut....
@@MeddlingMage1 that’s what he meant, it could have been a beta card with worn out corners that make it look like alpha
Nice! Do the corners have a slight flare upward, or are they perfectly flat? Corner trimming Beta cards or re-backing are possible, but I think the light test rules out re-backing at least.
I think they did, but I'll have to go and check to be sure!
Noice!
Not gonna lie. It looks like a plant.
Like a fern or some aloe?
Not worth 2k in that shape…bunz af 😂
Daaaamn... Wild find!
Whats the original long video, its uploaded in the channel?
Yup its on my channel. It's linked in the short, and also in the description
Lol thinking it's a 2000 dollar card. If it was mint psa 10, ya 2k. This chewed up card would be worth 150dollars at best.
That's the joke mayne this is a comedian first and foremost
Nah mate, mint PSA A would be about 10k, like that it is about 1000$. Even in Europe it's sold for like 500€
@@lordfrederik733 not a chance, and I don't want to mate with you.
@@lordfrederik733 in ebay sold listings one around the same condition sold for 50 dollars, the most expensive sold a psa 9 sold for 2400 dollars, dream on friend.
Na this card is worthless is damaged, it's not playable, and it would be hard to get rid because most sellers don't buy damaged cards "most".
Pretty sweet but that is far from near mint
Heavily Played condition means it's not worth collecting and is only comparable to other prints of the same art. Looking like $2-$10.
Not true for LEA cards. The absolute minimum this should go for is $200-300. If it were a non-iconic or useless card, then $10 would be correct. Counterspell is iconic and very useful, so it's always going to be expensive if it's from LEA or LEB.
@@willausterman3104 Only a fool would pay for a damaged collectors item. Inexperienced Speculators would only buy this.
A damaged alpha counterspell literally sold this year for nearly $700. Only place you got $2-10 from was pulling it out of your ass.
@@liltimmyspeashooter Speculators gonna speculate. No honest collector is gonna buy a damaged alpha card.
If you think one of the most iconic Alpha cards outside the Power 9, up there with Lightning Bolt and Dark Ritual, is going to sell for $10, you're out of your mind. Alpha booster wrappings are worth more than that, and I bet you could pretty easily get even $50 for an Alpha Counterspell that's been torn in half. People are not going to buy this to put it in a plaque, but there are whales with more money than sense who would drop $500 in a frenzy just to put this in their binder. Do I think a piece of cardboard in any condition should be worth that much? No, no I do not. Are there those who piss away their money like confetti? Absolutely, and this is yet another darling for their spank bank.
Rip it 😂
