That wasn't a "hill climb". It was a "free-for-all". A beautiful sight, seeing all those classics. There were so many in attendance that if they had started all of them at metered intervals, it would have gone on for a week and a half. 😁
i think that the Kawasaki March is the best 2 stroke motorcycle ever made in the 70s but i like the haYamha’s also because i like the sound of a twin cylinder on a 2 stroke motorcycle
wow! great sounds. We have a street race in Paeroa ,New Zealand every Feb and classics and sidecars are always great races. Sad that less classics turn up each year. Hard to get parts, I guess!
Two major problems. None of the bikes sounded as exciting as they did when they were current, for three reasons. Vintage bikes are rarely tuned as well as they were when actually racing, and even with the less than best tuning, the riders don't push the revs as high as they used to, since they obviously don't want to stress already very old parts. And finally, since it's a hillclimb, the bikes aren't revving nearly as high as they would on the flat. But even with all that, it was great to hear them!
billbollins thanks Bill. That explains it. But what a concept, I would have a hard time even adjusting to GP style shifting, let alone reverse foot controls--haha.
***** I was explaining to Vincent how it works but also that 'racing' boxes are upside down so he could understand without getting too complicated, is that ok with you? perhaps you could explain to the uninitiated why racing boxes are upside down? if you know that is?

I Love this, but the organisers should put a few straw bales in front of those crash barriers, as those guys are going fast enough to do themselves serious damage if they come off and hit those!
Fantastic. It's great to be able to watch a video of this type that hasn't had music put over it.
Boy that takes you back a bit. Love the sounds of the old bikes. Very cool stuff. Great video and thanks so much for not putting music in.
Sidecar racing is perhaps the best thing ever invented
Can't get enough of that deep, throaty, gurgly sound.
Gorgeous rides there man...some of those 4 cylinder bikes sound better than today's bikes.
Right on personal phone better than the bikes today right on
That wasn't a "hill climb". It was a "free-for-all".

2:55 was wonderful. I love hearing all the 2 strokes as well. I miss the smell.
Lol. If I had one maybe.
Long live 2 strokes!
Great pixes and sounds!
Thats a lot of lovely bikes!
good vidoe. all where in different classes run together . cb750.cb450 hondas. triumphs. ducatis. kawasaki triples to name a few.
Those old Beeza triples still sound fine.
i think that the Kawasaki March is the best 2 stroke motorcycle ever made in the 70s but i like the haYamha’s also because i like the sound of a twin cylinder on a 2 stroke motorcycle
Love it!!!! Especially the Rocket 3 at 13.00...just gorgeous.
That Rocket 3 was WAY down on power. Back when they were new, they screamed like banshees.
The depth perception of the video makes the bikes look slower when approaching or going away, however from side-on , in the corners they are flying.
What a beautiful circuit!
wow! great sounds. We have a street race in Paeroa ,New Zealand every Feb and classics and sidecars are always great races. Sad that less classics turn up each year. Hard to get parts, I guess!
Them guys on those side cars are nuts. Not me man, no way!
lovely sound and ride
Thanks!! Great vid!!! Friendly
Very nice video!
Im not a fan of bikes, but this was awesome.

The Honda 4 sounds superb
Someone know what is HP average of these amazing classic bike?
The 250 c.c. Honda RC - 162 that went past has 42 h.p.
4 cilinder 4 strokes 💜 2 cilinders 2 strokes 💜💜
Ohhhh yes! Fabulous soundtrack. Why don’t they make mobility scooters that sound that good?
Those bikes don't look slow to me and I road raced an old bike for 12 years from about 1967.
Great video. Are some of these guys shifting with their right foot? How do they use the rear brake?
+Vincent Empleo On old bikes the gears are on the right and the rear brake is on the left.
billbollins thanks Bill. That explains it. But what a concept, I would have a hard time even adjusting to GP style shifting, let alone reverse foot controls--haha.
and on some of the bikes in the video they have racing gear boxes so 1 up 5 down

.@@billbollins Also the Indian has a left hand throttle and a right hand gearchange.
Marvelous!!!
einfach schön!

Fantastisch. So isses!
The black jacket gang .

ESPECTACULARRRR!!
Do they run modern bikes too. Most of these are being either run way too easy or they're just really slow.
at this event there was just old bikes.
Single cylinders sounds good back of the days
some barely make it uphill tho haha
Hi Super den Film schau ich mir schon zum 100ersten mal an. Einfach Scharf . Gruß aus der Hexenküche Super-Bike-Box.com
