Hans Joachim Stuck, der spätere Formel 1 Fahrer nahm auch schon am Auerbergrennen teil. 11:59: Der Sound, die Maschinen... da werden Erinnerungen wach. 15:35: Einer der Höhepunkte waren damals immer die Beiwägen. Versteh nicht warum die Beiwägen mittlerweile so ein Schattendasein fristen. Früher traten die Beiwägen auch in der Motorrad WM an. Danke Dir fürs Aufnehmen und Hochladen.

Lol. My Dad had a Bonneville 750 way back. He used to say "they don't make them like they used to". I would reply "that's because they were slow, smokey and broke down a lot" He used to say "we didn't have to lock our doors back in the day". sidecars should be more popular. the power to weight ratio is astonishing. its fascinating that machines with two pilots can outperform any motorcycle. imhop they are the elite class of motorsport.

Very cool. Some pretty serious hardware there, especially towards the end. Very cool seeing the Scott Flying Squirrel . I don't think Ive ever seen, or heard one in action before. I would love to see an event like that run here in Canada, but it's way too much of a Nanny state here in Ontario. They barely tolerate bikes on the road as it is - there's no way we could do something like this. We have the roads for it though.

Many years ago a local guy offered me a shed full of dismantled 500/600 Scott Squirrels for £35 I couldnt afford at the time.(A new A Square four was £336 at that time)sad!

Hare Krishna some great classic Bikes and I see a few classic mx and sidecars events each year and the smell of Castro r and methanol takes me back to watching speedway in the 70s and the sounds of bikes with no baffling 👀🌙⚡️🍄🥋👽❤️😥👀⚡️🍄
None nowhere as loud as my 1979 Yamaha SR500 with its Hi-Per-Kinetics Stage Two (of four) 650 stroker/big bore 12.5-1 compression through my open megaphone White Bros pipe. It's for sale, $3,000 and comes with a 1977 Yamaha TT500 with the stock SR500 engine in it. The SR has won 4 trophies at local car shows. Has lot$ of KEDO aftermarket parts from Germany. I'm too old to start it anymore. No electric start. I'm in So. Oregon right off I-5. Comes with all stock parts. By the way, the Stage Four is 716cc's!
It's true, skinny tires _are_ a disaster. I was once riding my customized cafe racer moped and when i was on a sandroad my moped slipped and i fell flat on my side. Had a serious injury on arm snd knee. Fat tires save lifes 👍
Fairly laughable to see a 17 stone rider on a really light relatively low powered machine in a sprint like this, forget titanium bolts, go easy on the Gutbuster breakfast and you would reduce your time.
