Perfectly captured the beauty and awkwardness of the dance of avoidance and intimacy and vulnerability - especially on New Years Eve. Aleksa’s performance made me hope for her and break for her at the same time. We’ve been there. Brava.
Great short film! I would say my favorite part was definitely the dancing lol. The second hand awkwardness was so strong watching the first half. I could feel a bit of a release during the oversharing portion after the failed role playing. It's as if that's what it took to release to tension per se. The moments that made me laugh were like little doses of much desired relief from the awkwardness 😄 Any movie that makes me have that much of a emotional response is a winner to me!! Loved it!
Nervous silence, intimated through awkwardness, feeling I shouldn't be watching this, let alone how they managed to portray this, spoke volumes that if a part stretches the actors & audience to such a degree, perhaps the script has served its purpose.
