Technically, Eric Singer is the best drummer Kiss has had and can play Eric Carr stuff with no problem whatsoever with all due respect to Mr Carr who is a fantastic drummer. Also never could play rock n roll all night or black diamond the proper way Criss did them. Good hired hand drummer but what has he created on his own? To say he can't play things "correctly" and his claim to fame is playing someone else's parts is nonsense. Eric Carr sure as hell didnt come into the fold and play Peter's part verbatim or in your words "correctly" and from a musician's perspective I wouldn't expect Eric Singer to play everything verbatim either. We add, we subtract but still keep the integrity of the song. I may not even play my own shit the same depending on my mood. Eric does have an impressive catalog of original recordings that he can be proud of including some with Kiss. He was already a well respected drummer in rock circles before he joined Kiss originally. Do your homework and of course everyone has their opinions about this player or that player and that's fine. People are going to have a vendetta against Eric Singer regardless, given the situation he is in. Some of these "blind faith" comments about Peter and Eric Carr and these comments about Eric Singer sucking are just ridiculous. All 3 are drummers with different styles and all 3 have fit in with the situation that Kiss was in at the time. I can appreciate all 3 drummers being a drummer myself but from a pure technical perspective Eric Singer is the better drummer of the 3. See it for what it is.
I'm a drummer and I was told in several past bands that I was "rushing" the song. Seems as though Eric is doing the same. I take it that he is still in the band?? lol.
Yeah it's only lights and flash and makeup now...the music is kinda just...blah. hes a good drummer dont get me wrong...but there is clearly no angst or musical aggression, passion as we say in the playing though its like they just go through the motions collect the paycheck and then go curl up to the twilight zone in the bedroom at the hotel....its a job after all now, that's it. And I speak from experience sooo....dont get lippy wit me!😂

Yes, I'm sure all of their soundcheck's were done without make-up. And he's only singing the chorus, Just like Gene and Tommy.
This band should call it a day. Saw them a few years back and was startled to find a lot of people leaving halfway through the show. Kinda sad
