Met Paul in Pittsburgh. Was his valet at the time at a downtown restaurant. While he and his lady were dining, I took his ride to a custom shop owned by a neighbor, and had it washed and waxed for him. He was so appreciative of the extra personal care, he gave me a signed Gibson Flying V. Hangs, box-framed, in the art studio of my apartment to this day. Great guy; very personable and gracious. Always takes time for the fans.
¡¡¿¿ "viejo" ???!!!
Those who say they should retire will never have 50,000 screaming fans at 60 playing rock n roll on a 40,000 watt sound system. Most will be at the bingo hall.
So true. I always find the keyboard trolls hilarious telling a hall of fame band that still sells out that they should stop playing. I’m 50 and play small local venues and the rare festival opening gig is the highlight of my musical career. And I’m totally happy and thankful for that. That being said: Kiss, The Stones, The Who and any other successful veteran band should keep going as long as they want.
Escutem as palmas. Vocês sabem o que é isso? Somente o rock te eleva a outro nível. Somente o KISS faz isso. Esse é o verdadeiro poder do rock. O mundo é do KISS e vocês estão nele.
Hut ab 🎩. Was die Jungs noch für einen Body haben 😍. Mein erstes Konzert von Kiss besuchte ich mit 16 Jahren. 1981 oder 2022 ihre Musik ist einfach geil.
He is a great lead vocalist too. That is what KISS is all about. 4 guys. Not 1. Not 2. Not 3. But 4 guys that are all in it together. Unlike people like Dave Grohl who keeps pretending that the foo fighters are an actual band. Despite his constant solo crap all the time.
My dream is at the very last KISS concert ever is they play every single song that KISS has ever recorded in there catalog. Every song from every album. Even the solo albums. The concert will probably last like 5 hours or something but it would be legendary. And to cap it all off, right before they play the finale "Rock and Roll all Nite", they bring out all the members of the band past and present and just rock out as hard and as loud as they can until the stage catches fire.
Not Vinnie Vincent man... Although he contributed alot to this song. He just didn't fit the band. When they did interviews together there was always a sense of awkwardness. Its hard to peg what side it was coming from. One show they the pulled the plug and cut him off because he went way over the time they gave him to do his thing as he dragged his ass across the stage dry humping with a look of agony on his face
I always love when KISS play this song in their shows, especially for the intermeddle with Who's classic "Won't Get Fooled Again!" The Starchild's rocks!!
scandals, rumors, all the dramas between bandmates, Eric Carr and Mark st. John passed away, . . . . . and many more shit in their way, yet here they are 60+ years of age, still rocking and gave us true music, screw all haters, i'm here for the music that i love even tho i was born 97 in a country that rnr is not popular, i don't care, i still love them
2 bands that are 2nd to none within longivity, as well as consistency are kiss, and the mighty priest. Pretty amazing vocals from paul/rob, both are naturalist's. No show is scripted, rob and paul both say what they feel at given moment. Which is the ticket towards attentiveness from audiences.
AlexKx ohh ya lol my dad and my cousins say it’s a bit weird on how they took the makeup but cmon I love these guys I look up to Eric.. Everyone knows they sound better
Won't get fooled again fits perfectly inside this tune, this was a great performance, sounding as big as it needs to 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Propably everyone noticed how amazing Eric Singer sounded during the chorus? Especially when he hit the extra high notes? " 3:10, 3:13, 6:28, 6:31" amazing!!
Nice show. I se kiss 4 times over the year,s. First time was 1984. 2 of the time With the 4 orginal members whoo is really kiss fore me. I begin listning to them in 1978. And kiss is still going strong. Fantastic band. One of the best ever!
I like how although Tommy tries to look and play like Ace, at least he uses his own gear setup. Tommy doesn't let Paul and Gene make him a 100% copy, that's good.
My fav band ever! I was born in 1990 and saw them 2019 live in Berlin when I was 29 years old... Absolutely amazing they started touring in 1971, 19 years before I was even born! They've been touring freaking 50 years!!!!
although i miss the presence of Criss and Ace on the band, i think they're sounding good as ever... and we can't blame Paul for it's voice, he got older... but still rocking!!
Kiss is the Greatest Rock Band of all times (my opinion). My favorite lyrics in this song is: "You gotta live your life like your on vacation." All Hail Kiss!
The music is fine but Paul's voice is so shot. It's even worse now in 2016. I really think Paul should retire, get Rich Kozak from that one tribute band to take his place and take over Doc McGee's role as a tour manager and business mind for the band. That way Paul can still be a part of Kiss directly and not just sot at home unhappily in retirement.
This conversation is precisely the reason the KISS producers mixed in studio tracks with live tracks on Kiss' first album. Live music is a crap shoot to record.
Matthew Mcsherry The bitching isn't about the lineup. The bitch is about 2 non original members wearing the makeup of two of the original legend members. If this lineup played without makeup, there would be no backlash. (Remember, Eric Singer was embraced by fans without makeup taking over for the deceased Eric Carr in '92) Likewise, if they played in makeup, but with original designs for Tommy and Eric, also no backlash. The decision is not at all in the hands of Tommy or Eric, other than they could say to hell with it and not play in the band at all, but I don't blame them for taking the money to do what they do. This crapping on the fans with two imposter members is 100% on Gene and Paul. But the music is fine. Not the magic of the originals, but fine nonetheless.
siouxperb5570 -- I get your point, and very reasonably stated as well. And I think it is true what you say. But there's another way to look at it - which is the way KISS (i.e. Paul and Gene) are looking at it: they are giving the fans what they want. The fans wanted KISS never to remove the makeup. Even the ones who bitch would rather that their once-favorite band is still going strong - and with the makeup is the way to keep going strong. They do enough events without the makeup - the Kruises and public appearances, and TV, etc. and the makeup (the "magic" makeup) is reserved for the arena tours. Not arguing with you, just seeing it from the point of view of P & G.
Hey Jon, I think we are pretty much in agreement. I understand the reason for the makeup, just to stress once again that MORE fans would accept the makeup with original characters for Tommy and Eric. To put it another way, why not have Eric Carr wear the cat makeup? Could you imagine? Eric was a unique and original character that the fans could embrace while still respecting Peter's contribution to the band. That's all. What reason would they have not to? Imagine Gene retiring and Spiro Papadatos replacing him. Fine in a cover band, not cool at all to try to sell it as "Kiss". Ace and Peter were more than the makeup they wore, as are Paul and Gene. But it was what the fans recognize first. My two cents.
VonDa in Wonderland Are you sure? Eric Carr died in 1991, and he wore different makeup than the drummer in this video. But I’m not that knowledgeable about the band after 1979.
I remember this album when KISS was no longer in makeup. It was a big hit for them. I liked the years without the makeup, it was harder, I loved Eric Carr's drumming especially!
I'm a KISS member now. Metaphorically speaking. Why do people follow me around. Is it my charisma? No, people hate the way I speak and think. Isssss it my charming good looks? Noooo, they ruined that when they burnt my hair for all these years and smashed my face in . Is it my sexuality? Not anymore, since they started drugging me and swelled me up to 500lbs and spent 8 years making my breath smell like shit. Who would sleep with that. Is it all my money?? No, they don't get any of that. Is it my lifestyle? The constant reminders of everyday living and how unhappy they are with it says it's not that. It's not my personality because everytime I speak they need to attack my very existence. So what keeps them here? Is it because some of them have family as a title? No, because that never held any value before . Is it my fame?? And my name?? What else could it be that's got the world acting so differently? Maybe one day, when I get my castle, I'll try to figure it out. After I get my castle and obtain restraining orders.
The new album "Monster" is awesome, I heard a sneak peak of it through a friend of mine that's a roadie for KISS. "The Devil is me" is hard Gene really rocks, the album is heavy guys it's awesome.
I hate to say it , but this production cost someone an enormous amount of dollar signs to put this presentation together . I'm forever grateful . We're all winners .

To all this asses out there dissing on Stanley's performance and the fact Peter Criss and Ace Freehly left (WHO LEFT YEARRRSSS AGO) need to can it - they don't need to hang it up and they're not money hungry because these guys have enough to pay you to be their bitch for a day. SO let's think this out for a second -- could kiss be a multi-generational enterprise that even kids born in the 90's and early 2000's could also enjoy and want to see live too? I'm seeing them live this august and I'm psyched for the amazing show, not little petty comparisons to the 70's. Stanley is 60 for god sake.
If Kiss played without make up or Tommy and Eric Singer came up their own characters like Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent did, I don't think there would be any complaining from the fans.
That has been my thought for forever! It just looks so odd seeing the brownish LP when every other detail in the costuming and set design is black and silver. I guess bedazzling a LesPaul is just a no-no.
AtomicPlayGirl 66 Girl c’mon? The dude is dressed up just like Ace? You’re worried about the guitar? How about creating a new character? The space man is Ace, not Tommy. Who gives a shit what guitar he plays

Not a weird but cool Paul Stanley scream. They literally played the ending of Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who 🤦
That guitar solo, drumming and scream are parts of The Who's Won't get fooled again

I wish Gene and Paul would pay ME to be their bitch for a day.
If Kiss played without make up or Tommy and Eric Singer came up their own characters like Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent did, I don't think there would be any complaining from the fans.
Even a deaf person could enjoy this. KISS has the best stage. The bass and the flames can be felt.
👍👍👍👍
Damn right

Eric singer reminds of Jiummy The Rev Sullivan with vox and druming ability. Both have that high pitched UNQIUE VOice
Very Nice
Tommy Thayer should play that sparkly silver Explorer more. It gives him an identity that's distinct from Ace's sunburst Les Pauls.
eekleefeld totally. Very cool looking guitar.
That has been my thought for forever! It just looks so odd seeing the brownish LP when every other detail in the costuming and set design is black and silver. I guess bedazzling a LesPaul is just a no-no.
AtomicPlayGirl 66 Les Paul enthusiasts would riot! 😂🤣
@@MrSpeed-lt8gr I 100% believe you. But hey....LesPaul is a legend and deserves that level of respect for his beautiful guitars.
AtomicPlayGirl 66 Girl c’mon? The dude is dressed up just like Ace? You’re worried about the guitar? How about creating a new character? The space man is Ace, not Tommy. Who gives a shit what guitar he plays
That tribute to The Who at the bridge was super cool!!!
