      Had nothing to do with being likable, unlikable politicians get elected all the time. They lost the election because they had very few real policies(and the ones they had were terrible), and in place of policy they ran mostly on "hope," joy" and identity.
      When the sum of your policies can be boiled down to race/gender hustling, you don't have a political campaign, you have a cult following. The lost because America pulled the wool away from their eyes.

They just picked Kamala and ran with her... The pick that failed horrendously and was the least liked/voted for Dem candidate in the Dem Primaries of 2016... It's like they PURPOSEFULLY wanted to shoot themselves in the foot. The fact that all the media, Obama and all of them framed it as, "It's HER turn," and "You're a racist sexist if you don't vote for her," was just *french kiss* cherry on the top of the turd sundae. Not even counting the Tim Walz, "I'm A gEnErIc StErEoTyPiCaL rEd BlOoDeD mUrIcAn," thing they tried to push. The thing most people forget was Both Bernie and Trump were the grassroots Populists on each side, Both had alot more in common politically then not and alot of the differences came down to social issues. The key thing that happened was Trump was able to fight through the GoP machine with the help of the main stream media acting like he was a joke, Bernie on the other hand couldnt get through the Dems machine with its massive Donors, Super Delegates and attacks by the Media (They called him basically everything they called Trump before Trump got the nominee.) A lot of leaning Left/Right Independent people liked both and massively got shoved to Trump side when Bernie got screwed so hard. 2024 was the same thing, every ket base the Dems had they told to shut up and shut and deal with everything even if you had Massive problems with how they sidelined Biden after forcing every Dem that wanted to primary Biden off to the side.

      To dig into that, there were apparently three different underlying crimes. The problem was that a Felony of this category requires you to pin the charges to the specific crime. He probably was guilty of stuff, but they didn't do the job. They just told the jury to pick a crime from the three and if they so much as THOUGHT he was covering something up, convict. Pretty easy to get a unanimous verdict in a case like that.

    Btw, I think DOGE is a good idea and I hope they can cut a lot of things and get rid of inefficiencies.

    • @Warfoki
      @Warfoki หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The US government pays MORE per citizen on healthcare, than ANY other nation. Medicaid doesn't need to be shrunk, in fact it could be vastly expanded and still cost less. The problem is that I think the US is the only major country that doesn't pay directly to hospitals, care providers and pharmacies, but instead pays a middleman, private insurance companies. So those can jack up the price to high heavens, because there's no risk of uncollectable debt, because the state acts as a guarantor. The same methodology is also responsible for the absurd student loans and tuition fees, btw.
      The system needs to be changed towards an actually subsidized healthcare, instead of this pseudo-subsidized nonsense and healthcare costs would collapse on their own, since OVERWHELMING majority of the healthcare money goes to the bank accounts of insurance companies, instead actually helping people. Of course these companies grew into huge businesses and happily sponsor both parties to keep the status quo rolling, so fat chance of this ever happening.

    • @TurntBucket
      @TurntBucket หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Warfoki There are a ton of arguments why a more free market approach would actually lower prices and why insurance companies are not doing anything wrong, but are just reacting to their market environment. I am not going to get into a massive debate about this. Instead, I will just address the points you have made.
      Let's say we get rid of "the middleman", insurance, and the government directly paid the healthcare industry, why wouldn't that drive up prices? You argue that the government being a guarantor drives up prices, but you seem to think only insurance would be affected by this type of government intrusion. As if health providers wouldn't raise their prices if more government dollars were directly injected to them.
      You seem to be on the right track by linking this to why college tuitions have exploded and why student debt is massive, but your proposed solution is just doubling down but harder. Instead of decoupling the government dollars from these institutions, you want more direct funding.
      Anyways, regardless of what you think the solution is, the expenditures of Medicare/Medicaid and SS have to be shrunk or you have to increase government revenue massively if you want to balance the budget. You say expanding them will cost less. If it costs less then that is shrinking the program. I am talking about expenditures when I say they need to be shrunk. I am not talking about the scope of the programs. This conversation was about balancing the budget. I am talking expenditures and revenue.

    • @Warfoki
      @Warfoki หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TurntBucket "why wouldn't that drive up prices?"
      Because we have hard evidence in practice that it doesn't. That is the way the overwhelming majority of European countries do it, and not a SINGLE one of them pay as much for healthcare per citizen as the US. Not even close. So we know it would work, because it already does. We can argue about theoretical "what if" scenarios, I just don't see the point when we have access to practical "what is" examples instead.
      "As if health providers wouldn't raise their prices if more government dollars were directly injected to them."
      See, that's the thing: if they are directly subsidized, then no, they won't, because they are no longer for profit and no longer work at market prices. The system works by hospitals getting a yearly budget based on the expected patients and their needs, and then that budget use gets audited. Hospitals don't make profit, because they are no longer free market actors. The budget then gets adjusted on a yearly basis. Also, medical processes get a price cap based on their ACTUAL cost, not on the wet dreams of insurance company managers.
      Private insurance still exists in this system, just as private hospitals do. They provide extra catering, single patient rooms, experimental new treatments that are not standardized and as such not included into subsidized healthcare yet and so on. But the general treatments and preventative care is provided by default completely subsidized.
      Which, btw, would further lower the costs overall. The US is horrible in terms of preventative care. Because medical care so expensive, people mostly don't go to yearly health checkups, which means that when it comes to preventable diseases ending people, the US is on the level of third world countries. A lot of expensive, treatment could be avoided if people would get the much more cheaper checkups and prevent these problems in the first place. When this does not cost extra for the individuals, MANY more people will make use of this.
      "your proposed solution is just doubling down but harder."
      No, that is you, by wanting both to go full free market. That will make every thing more and not less expensive. Take both off the free market and subsidize them. Colleges can still get extra funds by sponsored researches and sport teams, but the tuition fee, is no longer subject to the free market.
      I went to a European college, and here's the thing: I paid nothing for enrolling, because as long as my GPA was high enough, I got a state provided scholarship. And when I said high enough, a straight B student would get into most collages. I didn't pay for books, because everything necessary was available in the collage library. And if you are coming from a poor family, you also don't have to pay for to be housed in the college dorms, because the state finances that.

    • @ClokworkGremlin
      @ClokworkGremlin หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Warfoki Yeah, everyone else pays less for healthcare than we do. And when they need healthcare right away, they come to the US and pay extra, because the downside of socialized healthcare is that while you won't pay more, you also don't have the option to pay more for better service.

    • @Warfoki
      @Warfoki หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ClokworkGremlin Lol, no. US citizens make up a good chunk of medical tourism in Europe, because even with a flight and reserving a hotel room, there's a good chance you can get things done cheaper, than if you just stay there.
      Also, why wouldn't you be able to pay more, if you want priority treatment or need some highly specialized care? Private hospitals exist all across Europe. Except, since they are competing with state provided healthcare, they have to offer good quality care for reasonable prices. If a European private hospital would offer the prices of an average US one, it'd go out of business in short order. And despite that, private healthcare is a growing business in Europe, not a dying one. Almost as if you could get better prices without the subsidized insurance companies preying on people.

    52:10 - Yeah but we have tons of video footage from that day. It's very easy to identify who was violent that day and who wasn't. And most of the people they have, still in jail awaiting trial without bond now four years later, weren't and are only being charged with what are misdemeanor trespassing charges, charges which would have a max sentence of one year, or they try to jump up charges with modifiers because they know a DC Jury is going to be 100% in their pocket.
    And keep in mind, this isn't like they stormed Area 51 (And we didn't even charge all those people who rolled up to Area 51 to annoy the guards with their "storm area 51 party"), it's a public building. It's a building you're normally allowed to go inside, goto the office of your representative and talk to them. It's only really blocked off during certain functions, like it was on that day, so there's 0 reason to think that if police are waving you inside or not doing anything to stop you from entering that you wouldn't be allowed to go inside. In fact there's been a number of times were large groups of people have "stormed" into closed sessions like this one in the Capitol building or the Supreme Court in protest. And do you know what has happened those times? Nothing. They just them do it. Just to add that to the pile of inequality with the riots that actually set large portions of DC on fire vs J6.

The only downsides are that unlike votes, the party you registered w/ may show up where others could publicly find it, and of course since the primaries are closed you are only allowed to vote in the primaries for the party you were registered.

      She got absorbed by the swamp, not everyone is strong enough to handle standing out.
      Matt gaetz, who didn't take PAC money, got super smeared and blocked by republicans because he went about revealing the dirt on numerous politicians publicly.
      Even Tulsi gabbard is getting smeared after she stood with Bernie instead of Hillary, all those Russian clown stuff came from Hillary and persisted till now, the swamp is powerful.

      Identity and actions are two different things sadly. It's the reason someone like me who can be right of center has doubts about someone like DeSantis since he tried to run for president against Trump. Bernie and AOC are the same way to me.

    56:00 I agree, something similar happens in my country (Argentina) where a new president has been elected, but the thing is, this guy was a "regular guy" like 5 years ago, so he is not the normal politician who cares about appearances and all, if some journalist lie about him he literally start to insult him, he doesn't care. And a lot of people hate "how NOT a politician" he is, while me in the other hand I love it. He just a regular guy, my country went from once being richer than United States to be economically similar to Venezuela. And who got us there? the normal politician. So maybe the solution was someone that was not a politician, someone that didn't care about politics, someone who just wanted to economically heal the country.

    You are the only other person out there besides myself who said it doesn't matter about Trumps personality.
    It's worth saying that we aren't voting for a popularity contest or a best friend, we are voting for a leader.
    Folks need to understand you don't want someone who is all gumdrops and rainbows as a leader.
    On the world stage you want a guy who other leaders both fear and respect.
    More often than not it stops problems from even arising in the first place.

    Whenever somebody says anything to the degree of "Trump is just mean" I always say "I'm voting for the leader, not a new friend." As for the ones who argue that "the world will hate us because of Trump's attitude" my only response is "as long as they also fear us, that's fine." The realpolitik of this world is that love means nothing on the scales of world power. Russia knows this. China knows this. America has forgotten this.

    The "think of the children" doesn't work because they didn't specify how those kids got killed. More often than not they where enemy combatants but counted by Palestinians as "non combatants" its the same bs other terrorist organizations did when we had shit ROEs in Afghanistan when dealing with the Terrorist organizations there.
    Also lets not forget how Hamas and the Palestinians leadership are no where in Palestine but Iraq or Iran. And constantly use civilian inferstructure to store weapons ammunition and use as ambush points so they can lie about civilian casualties as intentionally killed ehen thats literally just Hamas using them as himan sheilds.

    Agreed. I've also gotten the whole, "Oh you're a Trump supporter? You really think Trump cares about you?" routine. I don't think *any* total stranger "cares about" me in any significant way. But what matters is what they're doing. Could be that Trump is trying to help the economy because he genuinely cares about the American people. Could be that he only did the best things because of an egotistical and selfish want to go down in history as "The best President ever!" Doesn't matter at the end of the day.

    Shoe said in her video just prior to the general election, that she's been a registered independent for a while, so I presume she lives in an open primary state.

      Hence all the insults levied ad those who voted for Trump, because they can not contemplate ant reasons to vote Trump other then being some type of -ist.
      Though I think the economy and other issues they democrats were ignoring, by not vusibky handling the last 4 years, just led to a lot of people seeing both a just as bad and not voting or voting Republican hoping they change something in a way that helps.

    Most people do their sponsor videos once & then splice them seamlessly in together.
