My son and his family moved there last year. They have 2 small children and just love it there. Hope to be visiting soon.

Thanks for watching!!! Maybe. Remember there wasn't a neighborhood or new community for over 15 yrs. Lots of positive things in our town that most towns dream of. We have limited areas due to geography and protected lands

There is an (easy) answer. If Government, States, city officials would comply. They should limit the amount of homes and land one person or family can own. Also, the SIZE of a home. Per individual or family. Its called in equality in this capitalistic society.

I've lived here all my life and what I love about northbend is the trees, the elk fields, the quiet, I lived outside the city but now a bunch of house are being built all around my own, in front of my view of mount si, there taking away the best quality of northbend, by the time all these new developments all done there won't be any woods left, there won't be any views left it will all be a city like Issaquah and I'm sure lot of people are okay with that but I'm not, moving here into a new house is being a part of piece by piece selling away the best qualitys of my town, I brings tears to my eyes

After thinking about living there, it wouldn’t be enough for me. What is good for is a seasonal day trip. You need two miles long of Condos fairly priced. Price gouging is not a fan of me. Not enough of the mountain range showing.

Used to live in North Bend but it became insanely crowded!
They didn't build anything else but more houses. So it's the same small little town but insane amount of people.
You're battling crowds wherever you go.
You move to a small town to get away from all that but now it's on another level they just won't stop building houses!
There's so many other places that are diamonds in the rough all over Washington, North Bend is not that anymore.

sorry you had to leave but sounds like you found a better spot! I hear you but also small is all relative. Still less than 10k people in the zip code and less than 80k people in 6 towns in the Valley. As I say tough to close the gate.

I just checked real estate listings, and it looks like the #1 reason to not move there is not being a millionaire. Sad.

Well I've got plenty of clients who wouldn't consider themselves millionaires who have bought in the Valley. So guess it's all perspective.

I grew up here, and too many people have moved here! Traffic has gotten a lot worse, and so has crime! The scenery is not as pretty as it used to be because so many trees have been knocked down for new homes! The only homes that are affordable these days are extreme fixer-uppers! Don't move here! We already have too many here!
