They captured the “dream you slowly realize is a nightmare and want to wake up” feel very well in the beginning.
Now that I know the "story" is A.I. generated, that batshit crazy nightmare part and the multiple unconnected prologues where the protagonist keeps being shuttled from one scene to the next, meeting random NPCs on the ship who then die, getting a fever that is never brought up again, the alchemist's still exploding but it never matters because whoops now the alchemists are also dead and the protagonist is in some village... yeah, that sounds suspiciously like the output of "Generate Your Own Adventure" ChatGPT-style text generators.

Considering it's randomly generated by SureAI instead of written by actual writers, those aren't "clever plot twists", it's simply the standard A.I. behaviour of jumping from one story fragment to the next, throwing in new NPCs and then forgetting about them/killing them off.

Both these mods were released originally for oblivion and Skyrim ages ago, what are you smoking dude? Just because the producer's online name contains "AI" doesn't mean it's AI generated. The actual human who wrote it is Nicolas Samuel Lietzau, google would have saved you from leaving that comment 😂

@@Vercur I think it's more complex than in Skyrim and knowing SureAI they probably tried to make it more balanced in general but I dont really play mages so I dont know for sure.

The fact that just 1 or a couple people can make something like this amazes me, and they don't even get payed for it.
They wouldn't be allowed to be paid to mod, the company who made the game would sue them for the money that should be there. The modder didn't make the game they are modding so they can't get the money.

@@l1s4sp1ts3 They've done the prequel to this game named Nehrim for Oblivion way back and it was pretty successfull so they knew Enderal would be too. They got money from people who wanted to support them, as great things always attract good hearted people. Even if they didn't get money from it, knowing how much people like your work is payment enough for some people

I have finished playing this mod over a year ago. It has a legitimately interesting world and the story is great. I can highly recommend it! Its even considerably harder than Skyrim (in my opinion).

Seriously though, this mod feels more like a fully fleshed game with much better story than OG Skyrim, I'd highly recommend it to any RPG fan.
its because it basically is, they only took skyrim as sort of an engine to make enderal, it even has its own storepage on steam
Best part is it got lore and prequal as well though it's prequal is a bit messy and buggy but the story is again of epic level . The prequal is the mod of oblivion and if you play it and play Enderal again you will realise so many things about the whole lore of the Enderal universe. 😭😭😭

@@gabrielmillet889 Don't think so, since it's a pretty big mod and skyrim mods are heavily limited on consoles. Pretty sure it's only for PC.
Enderal has been around for a very long time but it's good to see more content creators get into it because it is a really good story. It's a lot more in-depth than the original Skyrim as you'll soon find out if you play more. I know you aren't really into basic Let's Plays everything has your own spin but I think your spin would still be fun to watch as it has been so far. I hope to see more of this series.
This mod is one of my favorite games and I would love to see more. The story of this game is far better than any other game I played in the last 10 years. Seeing you play this little-known game from Germany made my day. thank you, Kevin.
It is a great story, arguably better than skyrim itself, but i have few issues with it. 1st is that friendly NPC are far between, whole map feels like and is a battlefield. 2nd is magic is pretty wierd: existence of the fever penalty for restoration spells and potions is awkward and destruction spells without enchanted or set items are just too damn expensive. Which brings us to the 3rd part: while existence of sets is cool, they are too rare to get a full set by the time that set is still somewhat relevant. And enchantment is as bonkers as it is in skyrim, you can make 2 schools of magic free if you properly enchant all your equipment.

Enderal is SUCH a good game. I really loved the story and the world actually convinced me. It honestly is one of my favourite RPGs of all time. You definitely should finish it.
