*Great getting started tutorial* .. I got my Light Painting Brush products yesterday and started testing them out as soon as my studio got dark enough. That is a good to know about roughing up the edges to get more light and I was wondering about how to color the Plexiglas; I do have a colored flashlight so, that was ultimately what seems to work best.
Thank you! There are some other really interesting ways to get color out of your plexiglass, one is using sharpies on the outside edges, check out our Light Painting Brushes Tricks and Tips group on Facebook for tons of ideas! facebook.com/groups/LightPaintingBrushes/
Hi, a couple of questions, my assistant took the one of the light brushes out of the bag and dropped it breaking the pespex from the connector, is there an ideal glue that I can stick it back together with? Also I tried using one of my other brushes with my LED lenser flashes P7QC and T7M and the light trail isn't constant, with the light looking pulsing, even though they are on full power. attached to the light perspex light shaper (it doesn't when not attached). So does the type of LED torch matter, when attached to the light shaper? I am able to buy another torch but I need to know it is going to work properly (I have seen the recommended torches on the site).
Unfortunately there isn't a glue that will hold the plexiglass back together if it is a major break, if it just a chip you are trying to fix you can try to use SciGrip 16 Glue but I can't tell you that it will fix the broken blade. As to the light this strobing effect could be caused by any number of issues. Many new lights on the market have a feature called Pulse Width Modulation that can give a strobing effect that is not visible to the naked eye but can be seen in a light painting . One light that I frequently recommend is the Soonfire MX series of lights. TO MY KNOWLEDGE they have not included this feature in their lights YET. Here is a link: amzn.to/3Ko4pZL
