    Looks great. May I recommend when you caulk the final edges that you try wiping it with your sponge wet. You might find that avoids the soft caulking blend on the paper and makes very tight clean line.

      The product is very beautiful, looking at the room as becoming a completely different space. I had to immediately order wall murals on: http: //daisycorners.com/product-category/wall-art-decor/living-room-wall-art-decor/. And I have decorated my room with these products, although the price is quite expensive but beautiful so I feel satisfied.

    Great job. I have spent countless hours in my life removing old school wall paper with a steamer. Love the idea the new stuff isn't as difficult to remove as the old stuff. Ready now to put my first paper up.

      I’ve hung a lot of prepasted wallpapers professionally and there is no actual substantial difference between this material and standard paper when it comes to removal. “Sure Strip” is basically just a marketing gimmick.
      The biggest factor of how easy or hard the paper will be to remove is the prep work done before the install. The paper companies have absolutely no control over that. Premixed adhesives that you roll directly onto the wall are better in virtually every way for beginners.

    Well it's Saturday and the girlfriend wants me to hang some (very expensive) wallpaper. She asked me the other day if I could do it myself and I was like 'yeah, no problem'. Well the wallpaper has been delivered now and it's the day to get it on the wall. Bit nervous actually, so came here for some tutoring and moral support. Thanks Man! Well, I have been measuring a wall's height the wrong way with the a tape measure all these years. That alone is helpful.

    I need some advice, I painted my home that was built in 1903, after two coats I’m not seeing a nice finish, I am now thinking of putting wallpaper? I love lots of lights

    We do it completely different in the uk, we have wallpaper adhesive paste that we either brush or roll on the paper, also I dont pre cut the lengths for the wall, I put one length on then use the roll to find the next match by rolling it down the wall next to the previous length.. this looks like an efficient way to do it though, very neat and no dreaded bubbles in the paper 👍I also start in the centre of the wall depending on the pattern.

      Thanks so much for watching and the helpful tips. Not all wallpaper is like this here in the States since this is expensive wallpaper. Is the adhesive you use removable?

    • @ashleighh6556
      @ashleighh6556 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BYOTools Yes it's very easily cleaned away. You can remove it using water and soap by hand but I use a wallpaper steamer and a scraper to remove my wallpaper and that removes the adhesive paste too :)

    As a professional paperhanger I can tell you for a fact: putting painter’s tape on the face of any wallpaper is a great way to ruin your paper.

      I might’ve missed wall prep… is there any special cleaning or prep before you start sticking? Would rather ask a pro.

      @@thejameslealartco.7625 depends on the material but Zinsser Shieldz is a good primer in most circumstances. Also Dynamite 234 is my preferred adhesive.

      @@Backwoodscards well I wouldn’t say that. But I would say that any sort of painter’s tape on the finish side of the paper is asking for trouble, there are delicate materials out there that can easily get ruined.

    I used to use a wall paper tray with water, you roll a piece up and let it soak in the tray till its all wet. Guess things have changed since i wall papered.
