That’s awesome! I’m happy for you. With a cargo van you have the option to get local contracts as myself, go OTR (over the road) that’s when you take loads to further states. Or you can do gig apps. Gig apps can be used as part time since you only work when you turn them on. Understand your local demand for this type of business and do some research before starting something. You wanna make sure the demand for this type of business is there!

@@Tony.Ruiz08 Hi can I ask you to make a video about equipment to get or consider for a van when starting out? I would like to know so as to not waste money in buying things that may not be necessary.
You made it happen!! I respect the mentality. Salute to your wife and her friends for believing in you. I hope you gave them a little extra dollars when you repaid them. 🫡
You gotta do what you gotta do. Whatever it’s best for you specially if you live in the city. I have a small driveway I can fit my van though, if not I’d probably pay for parking. Around $150 a month so it’s not super crazy.
So could you explain to me how contracting works? I’m 19 and I have a passed down cargo van from my dad and I need a contractor to successfully start my business.
I got my LLC, vans, drivers and insurance. Then I offer (apply) my transportation services to a company or a carrier that needs my transportation services

Hey Tony I got a transit 250 for a chair massage business that didn't go as planned. How can I get started doing what you are doing? Any advice? God bless you hermano
Sorry to hear that brother. It all depends on what you want to do. You can do local contracts as myself. Work from apps or go OTR (over the road) that’s when you take loads far away into other states. Since I’m a father I went the local route so do your research and figure out which one you wanna do. If it’s apps, download and sign up for them and start taking loads and making money. If you want contracts, check out the demand in your area as well as the requirements. Indeed is a great place for it. I have a video on how to find local work in your area as well if you’re interested to watch it and get more insight.
My my brother and Father have done expedite delivery with their sprinters for over a decade… Honestly all I see is a failing market. If you make under $1/mile you’re in poverty and eventually youI’ll have a major repair that will bankrupt you. I like that you do these routes locally, so that even if your vehicle goes down, you’re still in a reasonable location to find a repair shop. The expedite business is hard man, I don’t recommend it to anyone. I hope you find success in your local market and don’t ever go over-the-road to expedite!! 💪
@@Tony.Ruiz08 It's all good! And out of all that time, my Dad has been dedicated to just 1 dispatcher. They do it all, but they don't specialize in cargo van, so I realize that my Dad has missed out on consistent work by limiting himself to just 1 dispatch. Lesson learned. Don't be exclusive with any one dispatcher unless they can supply you with enough work weekly. The reason he is exclusive is because he gets a discount on commercial insurance. But, if they don't supply enough work, then it's not even worth it. Finding local gigs does sound interesting. Hope things are going well for you!
