I stumbled upon your channel today and am really enjoying your videos. The food always looks delicious, can't wait to see you in my hometown Xi'an to try all the Hui food & local specialties!
Hello, Thankyou for your lovely comment. The next two videos will be from Xi’an. The next video is a bit different and less about the food, though I eat an incredible salad (one of the most delicious meals of my whole trip) then the episode after I hit the incredible markets. Have I said too much? Spoiler alert 😜
Ahhhh! Interesting!! On the east coast of Taiwan I realised how popular the betel was over there and in restaurants so many people would be chewing. Good observation Julio 🧐
🤣🤣🤣🙏🏼🧡 Ohhh Mark, love this so much... You are so relaxed and I'm loving the editing techniques... My God! I was worried about that meat spear! 😳 Laaa-mb 🐑 Also common meat cuisine in Taaaa-sie 🧡 I also love that you chose a minority group cuisine to explore. 🙏🏼 Keep safe and enjoy ❤️
Thanks Mary-Anne good food is good food. I love this feeling of going into a restaurant like that, and a slight feeling of trepidation that is so often cut thru by the joy of the workers there so happy that you are choosing to try their food. The ‘nice guy’ in the video treated me like a son, such a nice guy. Also a young girl approached me to ask for a photo haha, I’ll try find it.
thank you so muchhh!!! definitely gonna try this on upcoming shanghai trip 😍😍 may i ask if you ever visit the friday muslim market in shanghai too? i also wanna go try some food there but couldn't confirm if it re-opens after covid yet.
Hi hi ☺️ Thankyou for your lovely comment!! Yes I hope you do try it, definitely worth it. I’d love to know what your thoughts are about the food. Unfortunately I have no clue about the Friday Muslim market. Sounds like the perfect place to film an episode 🤔
可惜没点新疆油拉面,No.1 新疆美食,它比纽约时报评选出来的亚洲美食第一名干炒牛河还要好吃。Very tempting Xinjiang cuisine! It's a pity you didn't try the Xinjiang beef noodles. I think it's the No.1 Xinjiang dish, even better than the dry-fried beef noodles that the New York Times rated as the best Asian food.
Nice! I have no history with Shanghai but can confirm it’s not cheap. I’d have loved to see it evolve into its current state and feel nostalgia for what was lost!
The frustrations of everyday life. But in the chaos there is beauty and I know the feeling of losing something good because it got bulldozed to make way for a shopping mall. We are a nostalgic bunch!!
Haha, yes I think it was the sun. My first week in Shanghai had perfect winter weather, not a cloud in the sky, I thought maybe I had discovered a country with perfect winter weather…… then after that I was freezing cold and didn’t see the sky for weeks 😂
I searched both of those terms, plov is the pilaf and samsa is the first thing I ate. This is good intel, thankyou for your comment. Traveling thru China has been such a food journey for me because I ate so many things I’ve never seen before. Please keep the information flowing ☺️
@@tuckereats9146 Thanks for you answer first )) Ya it’s nice to try , any new food . Hope you visit my country Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 some day and trying original plov , sAmsa & shashleek. Iam shore you loved that food .
Wow! You’re from Uzbekistan, so cool! I certainly hope to visit one day and explore your history, culture, beautiful buildings and nature and of course the food!
Hi thankyou for your comment. I’d like to be clear here that I think China is an amazing country, I loved my time there and I found the people very kind, genuine, friendly and helpful. The WTF moments are small things that stood out to me in a ‘culture shock’ sense. Yes the phenomena is very small and I’m more trying to share with my audience the sense of excitement that can come from exploring new places and seeing how people live differently.
It’s a great country, just with some different cultural norms and a huge population which makes the everyday experience of the place quite unique. It’s not the easiest country to travel for a westerner largely due to the language barrier and the ‘Great Firewall’ but the Chinese people help me out, consistently, whenever I don’t know what I’m doing…… Which is often. I love the country and the people and I will visit again! 🫶🏻
Very hearty, the lamb had that soft slow cooked gelatinous fibres, I still think about how good it tasted. And I didn’t know about Pilaf being always cooked with lamb. Is that true of Kashgar pilaf or is it pilaf more generally?
Omg mister tucker keep up the work and thanks for the videos
Thankyou Caleb ☺️
上海偏僻的角落才有的美食,通常都是本地的老食客才能找到😉
I need that intel 🤔

@@tuckereats9146 Haha never! Your non food related commentary is also very interesting. Looking forward to it.
@7:47 "I want that meat in my mouth...." I cackled hard....Ah good memories of university days :) Always looking forward to your foodie adventures!
Omg! Haha
The ECU student union days were good days. I miss them and I miss the $7 jugs at the Uni tavern 😂
😀
2:44 I think it’s betel nut, which is quite popular chewing snack in several provinces in China, including Taiwan.
For your information, no animals are allowed in the metro stations in China. So it’s definitely not dog poop.
Ahhhh! Interesting!! On the east coast of Taiwan I realised how popular the betel was over there and in restaurants so many people would be chewing.
Good observation Julio 🧐
Thanks. Great job.
Woo! Compliments from strangers 😜 Thankyou 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Beautiful video!
Skyhigh you just made my day 🫶🏻

Good intel! I wish I had tried it, but I want to explore more of China so next time I will eat it for sure ☺️
I used to order 40 skewers and wash down with beer with my mates a couple decades ago, but the price has since tripled, how I miss old shanghai.
Nice! I have no history with Shanghai but can confirm it’s not cheap. I’d have loved to see it evolve into its current state and feel nostalgia for what was lost!
It's funny how everybody back then was complaining ceaselessly about Shanghai;s pollution, traffic jam, etc
The frustrations of everyday life. But in the chaos there is beauty and I know the feeling of losing something good because it got bulldozed to make way for a shopping mall. We are a nostalgic bunch!!
Hello🖐👀👍👏
Oh hi….. I didn’t see you there!
Nice.
Thankyou 🙏🏼
01:20 入镜这大哥皱着眉头又完全不笑还以为他是有什么不满的🤣结果只是对着镜头打招呼。可能只是因为太阳太刺眼了吧

Look at this evidence of force labor
All that food and shit
Plov and sAmsa it is original Uzbekistan food and Central Asia. But plov must be eat with spoon not chopstick 😊

Compared to gun violence and racism in the USA and theft and looting in Europe, aren't some of the phenomena in China that you don't like very small?

China is far from a perfect country, especially by western countries' and Indian standards.
It’s a great country, just with some different cultural norms and a huge population which makes the everyday experience of the place quite unique. Indian is a joke
That's quite a hearty meal. Pilaf is always cooked with lamb, by the way.

可以来,中国的小城市看看……
