When Tibetans are in exile, people in Xinjiang are in exile, Tiananmen 64 students are in exile, Falun Gong students are in exile, Hong Kong people are in exile, 709 human rights lawyers are in exile, and Chinese people are smuggling across the world.
But you made a video saying that people in Xinjiang live very freely. This is shameful.

I came across a video made by a Taiwanese YTer who happened to love and supportive of China. In the video he interviewed an Uyghur content creator who is not afraid of speaking up. She said that the Uyghurs are very annoyed with the lies from the Western medias, because their lives were affected in many ways. Citing as an example, she said that previously the locals were able to work in the cotton fields as part time jobs and earned extra income for the family, but after Xinjiang was falsely accused of using "force labour", the farm owners dare not hire them any more and were forced to switching to machines (ironically John Deere from the USA), and they lost these extra incomes. I've seen another video where a father and son were initially very friendly to a Western tourist, but once they found out she was from America, the father's face turned black, spoke something to his son in Uyghur (looked to me like he was telling his son that was an American), and immediately ignored her.

If you have a second thought on it, you would find out that the Collective West and its medias are quite clever, they success to have a closed loop for the anti-China propaganda. Smear China, and then accuse those who call for justice being paid by the Chinese Government, having platforms like YT and Facebook, send contents that favor their interests to viewers, block or shadow contents that do the opposite to viewers. What a perfect environment for anti-any-country-they-want propaganda, they are really good at it.

不可以,因为如果真的那样儿。会有西方培养的破坏份子去摄像机导演一部剧情,然后用这部剧情通过西方反华媒体炒作抹黑中国The United States and the West do not care about the Muslims in Palestine, do not care about their own Muslims, do not care, only care about the Muslims in China, which is nothing more than stirring up national unity within China and inciting internal wars. Creating so-called forced labor is nothing more than besieging the economy of Xinjiang and inciting internal strife. This trick originated from the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Libya. Always used until now

I really hope more people get to see your videos, get to see Xingjiang with their own eyes. Whenever I saw people talking about oppression on Uighurs, force labours, even genocide of the people in Xingjiang, I couldn't help but tell them to stop spreading the lies and go to see Xingjiang with their own eyes. It's tedious, but I still try to stop those lies. It's really infuriating to see those politicians just saying those lies with straight faces on TV.

I just came back from Xinjiang. In Kashgar, besides the many Uyghurs (young and old) we can see and listen to them code switch between their own language and Mandarin easily within this Ancient City as per this video, when we take cabs going around,we can see massive of them going about their daily life especially in market places.
Everyday, where there are tourism especially, they are performing their culture for the whole world to see and to enjoy.
My son who is a University graduate with Western influence who prides himself as a critical thinker over me said he believes the so called academic paper on the genocide. I told him last year I am ok for him to go to Xinjiang to see for himself. He refused so I went instead recently to Kashgar and Urumqi. Hopefully I can show him how ridiculous it is to have a genocide going on together with a huge open tourism industry that is trying to give Uyghurs a better living standard with the money they earn. To also show what a huge modern city Urumqi is with all its tall buildings and highways. The museums there are also of first class standard with very well crafted English explanations to help us understand the inter twining history of Xinjiang, the people, the culture with the rest of China for the last few centuries in this part of the Silk Road story.

Jerry, you can't convince and satisfy all the naysayers. Haters gonna be haters. Even if you interview random Uighur in the streets of Xinjiang, the peoples in the West and USA will still say those are paid actors by the CCP and you are part of the whole thing. The thing is not to give a damn to whatever people say, and as I grow older, I realise this even more for my own happiness. However, if I'm maligned, I won't bother to explain and I will dish out counter-measures. In the context of China (I'm not from China anyway), if they feel accused or maligned, well, they can always tit for tat, like report the same about "ethnic discrimination" in those countries and spread it like it's true, or trade sanctions where it could hurt them more than it does to China. Sometimes explaining too much seems like trying a little too hard when it hardly makes a difference to their opinions anyway.

Xinjiang has always been on my list of next travel destinations after I toured Northeast China, Harbin. Actually, I haven’t gotten enough of Heilongjiang. But Xinjiang, Urumqi Altay are all very attractive to me too. I want to buy Aladdin lamps, eat grilled mutton on skewers and naan bread!!!! Not to mention I also want to visit other parts of China like Yunnan and Tibet. My China list is very long, but I’ve to complete travelling East Coast of Taiwan this year before i move on to China. 😂
Thanks for the informative video, Jerry. It just confirms my impression of Xinjiang. 😊
It’s their loss to continue living in their own bubbles and miss out such a beautiful city with happy and peaceful vibes.
