Great bowling in Indiana there, Packy! First place after 6. Awesome! You and Mitch getting 300's is so sweet but so did EJ, who is always in the hunt. Keep it going tonight.
Got the NU as a Christmas present and it didn’t take long for it to take over my bag lol! Love it! First time using it all 3 games I had a 257 game (PR) and a 631 series (PR)! So good for high rev on house! Only downside is that it lane shines quick and losses its hitting power when it does. A CTD 2k pad every 6 games does the trick though!
Man everything about this video was on point. Efficient, informative, comprehensible, still entertaining, and its awesome to see how far youve come in just a cpl years. Great Video, Awesome format, near perfect bowling. Between your channel amd Darren's, yall are the whole reason i got into bowling
Excellent! Well done & explained. The video overlays really give a great visual comparison. Another variation for a future video might be to have two lanes prepared, one with a house shot and the other with a sport pattern & show the different foot and target differences. Thanks for the great videos.
Last time I threw urathane I left and made the 2-4-10, backup plastic attempting to hit the 2-4 "pocket" and ended up hitting the right side of the 2, sending it into the 4 then the wall, and all the way across to hit the 10. Don't use it that frequently but will depending on the pattern.
Thanks for this. I was seeing which ball would be a step down from my Hammer NU. The black definitely is. Stays straighter longer, which is what I'm looking for. I don't bowl 10 pin much anymore, I bowl Texas 9 pin. In that game, you don't want snappy bowling balls due to the pins being 18 inches apart and in a rhombus diamond shape. You'll get a split almost every time. Sometimes the NU starts to get a little too angular, so I needed a step down from it. 👍
He's on string pins so it makes it way to easy to "trip the ten" or seven. The strings will tip the pins over this is one of the reason why I don't like string pins.
Fast analogy of bowling equipment straight to the point creatively done pick up. Keep up the good work. Keep up the good work young man. Appreciate the video. I have the black widow 3.0 the radioactive by the storm surge and the raw hammer not the raw hammer but the hybrid raw the hybrid hammer. Do you think I can use this in you the blue ball? Thank you for response, I appreciate it
Going to get my first ball for my birthday in a few days and I’m going with the NU blue! I’m a lefty as well and I want something for some house shots to see how it goes. I hope I like it, but I feel anything will be better then the house balls I practice with
Amazing video! Thank you so much for this, exactly what i wanted :D. I felt the NU on proper sport/challenge shot (40ft) (giga wet on board 1-5 zero hook) required me to slow down a whole-lot more than i imagined. Big surface adjustment(500grit) to start but once the laneshine kicked in i had to calm down further the series went. Did a 12 series marathon bowling on fresh each serie except the last 4. It was kinda rough. I think the Purple or the black hammer would've been better overall with the black playing far left and the purple around 3-4 arrow like in the vid and through the middle part of the lane.
I like the 2 ball overlay, i just saw that on another channel. I think the Black Hammer would be cool to have, the darker, the better. A few folks in my league use the NU Blue and it hits the pocket HARD!!! Another uses the Purple slammer and her strike / spare % noticeably increased. I may switch if I need to replace my Pitch Black.
I've been bowling for about 2 months now in a league, learning to shoot two handed and only using house balls. I bought a used NU blue hammer for 20 bucks from a kid that works at our local bowling alley. In my third game with it, I scored 200 exactly. My previous high was like 160ish and I averaged 120. Not like this is coming from an expert, but I fucking love that ball 😅
I liked this video a lot! Quite informative on ball motion changes. Any idea where the pink widow might fall into this lineup even though it is not a ball ya throw?
I averaged 184 in my house shot league and 178 in my sport shot league. I throw urethane like 70% of the time on sport, never on house. A few weeks ago I was frustrated with my house shot game and decided to bust out the 78u on the house shot and I shot my first 700 (748).
2 ball overlay is cool. Anyway we can see your hand on both in the overlays? You don't mention it, but it looks like you are rotating the NU hammer more than the black hammer. Great video, keep up the good work!
I initially really liked my NU hammer in house shot league (803 first night). Since then I've really struggled getting a consistent reaction. It'll look normal for several shots and then will seem to push another 3-4 feet downlane like it's oil logged. I can't seem to extract any oil from it though. Any ideas why the ball stops reacting downlane?
Prob carrydown or you are throwing the ball too hard. Could also try hitting it with a pad to get some surface on it again depending on how many games you’ve got on it
@@narutofanar It, like the Purple Hammer, can be thrown in any competition that is NOT the PBA. The BW Pink Pearl Urethane is a 75D hardness ball, so it falls outside the 78D hardness rule for the PBA. But for any other competition it is still certified. I have a Black Widow Purple Pearl Urethane that I couldn't use in the PBA either.
I’ve got 2 youth girl bowlers both throw around 13 mph. They are fairly low rev bowlers. For someone like that what kinda Urethane would one want for a short Jr Gold pattern? Or do they need to go the route of a short pin reactive?
Packy can't do Storm balls but I have both. My pitch is about 5 boards weaker than purple. Other vids confirm pitch is similar to black pearl. My pitch is rounded while purple is more angular down lane.
I 100% understand why packy can't include the iq or tank bowling balls but it'll be nice if he could actually compare all the urethane and urethane like balls for a broader picture
The two ball overlay is cool. Really get to see the difference in speed and how it goes down lane.
Big fan of the 2 ball overlay and the right hand view! Good work packy
Cappy, this one of the best videos on your channel. Thw way you explained your moves AND had the overlay was great.
Already got a Blue hammer because of your other videos. Love it so far and is very consistant on a house shot
Love that 2 ball overlay. Would be great for future reviews and comparing new balls to similar older balls
Your videos only get better and better. So informative and entertaining. Awesome content Packy. Much love and success.
Great bowling in Indiana there, Packy! First place after 6. Awesome! You and Mitch getting 300's is so sweet but so did EJ, who is always in the hunt. Keep it going tonight.
I was hoping this would come out soon. I have lower Revs but high speed so I wasn’t sure which one to get. Great video Packy.

Fantastic video. This is the one I have been waiting for!

Getting a NU blue cuz of you

My 2 urethane ball I bring for patterns where you need to throw it I bring my purple hammer and my black hammer solid
GottA pic up a blue hammer now.... thanx for great info
Love your vids♥. Do you recommend the raw hammer?
As a man that has a raw hammer if it is ur first ball go for it it made me get the mechanic down and raised my bp by like 60-70
I wonder how many people won't notice the footage being mirrored and think Packy suddenly is a master right handed bowler as good as he is lefty?
Great video, thanks. Did anyone notice the ringing 7 and 10 pins getting tripped from behind?
He's on string pins so it makes it way to easy to "trip the ten" or seven. The strings will tip the pins over this is one of the reason why I don't like string pins.
I just got nu blue and i love it, it’s my first urethane or urethane like bowling ball
That NU blue is money!!

I think the blue would be good for when your 3.0 is too strong and leaving corner pins.
Hope to see the add stats on Speed and Revolution to see the differences. Thanks a lot.
Great video keep up the good work. Cant wait to add the black, or purple to my arsenal.

Thoughts on the 3-D Offset?
Do a review of the hammer axe reative plastic bowling ball packy
I loved the black widow pinky I miss that ball
I never realised Packy was part MissingNo until I saw this video

You should do a video just for fun where you compare the overseas red hammer, magenta hammer, and the old burgundy hammer
The blue hammer videos need to keep coming

Did you ever try the Black Widow Pink? How does it compare to these? Can an asymmetrical urethane work?
2 ball overlay is cool. Anyway we can see your hand on both in the overlays? You don't mention it, but it looks like you are rotating the NU hammer more than the black hammer. Great video, keep up the good work!
My dv8 Medusa came in great last night as I finally bowled over a 200 I bowled a 223
The ball overlay should be used in every ball review video everywhere
I like the reverse camera.

idk if its just an audio thing but those string pins sound so horrible when they strike
Great content
just casually bowling with right/ left hand switch is crazy
Currently have the NU, I’m only really a house shot bowler, would the black hammer be a good pick for when the nu is too snappy down lane?
If you feel like the NU is too snappy, the black would probably be a great option. Much tamer down lane
For a second there I thought I needed to move my annual eye doctor appointment up by several months😉
Packy what urethane balls are only allowed on the Tour?
Which ball would I use if I used the original Black Widow Urethane?
Why is the Black Widow Pink Urethane not a consideration?
It was discontinued/retired.
Just curious, does that mean that I can no longer throw it in competition?@@athlonen
@@narutofanar It, like the Purple Hammer, can be thrown in any competition that is NOT the PBA. The BW Pink Pearl Urethane is a 75D hardness ball, so it falls outside the 78D hardness rule for the PBA. But for any other competition it is still certified.

I got confused when packey started throwing right handed until I noticed it was reversed lol
What kind if any of surface would you add to your urethane balls?
Where would jou put the STORM PITCH BLACK in comparison with these hammer urethane balls?
Packy can't do Storm balls but I have both. My pitch is about 5 boards weaker than purple. Other vids confirm pitch is similar to black pearl. My pitch is rounded while purple is more angular down lane.
On a house shot, what other strike ball would compliment the NU? 405 rev / 16 MPH - seeking another strike ball for the bag.
step 1: make sure it's purple
step 2: make sure it's from hammer
step 3: bowl good bc purple ball
I thought it was only the 2016-2017 purple hammers that got banned?did they ban all of them?
Pink widow all day everyday baby 💪
the lanes are so dry and torn up in my league, I like to throw 15-16 mph at the pins with a medium-high amount of revs... what should I throw?
Your mum
@@ONeill1421 Jesus dude I throw 14 because of my bum shoulder, I'm not even getting her the arrows
Thanks for sighing my ball
When is Mitch coming back to your channel, miss that dude
What year is that Purple? Darkest one I’ve ever seen
No pink ?
Only in the 8 lb. balls. 😈
Why is the purple illegal on tour ?
Post a league seasons please
When will the NU black widow release?
It's a toss up between the black and blue
They need a 10 pound ball league for us with very bad backs.
Definitely not gonna be the purple hammer anymore
Good video but you bowling with left and right Hand throwing both right and left looks like in video
I bowl league and a few tournaments. I have no need for a urethane ball to date.
How do you know?
@@ripvanrevs because once I switched to a plastic spare ball I stopped using and even carrying a urethane ball. Does not even make it to the car.
Love the content, can’t stand the thought of string pins taking over the game. Yuck.
Well said pac man
I 100% understand why packy can't include the iq or tank bowling balls but it'll be nice if he could actually compare all the urethane and urethane like balls for a broader picture
Why u bowling right hand lol
He's not bowling right handed lol
Best urethane is NONE!!!
Brainwashed
There is a reason EVERY pro throws urethane.
For most the people viewing this you DO NOT NEED URETHANE for a house pattern next level sport or challenge yes.
Has #packyhanrahan of @thehousebowling always been an AMBIDEXTROUS bowler or is this camera trickery?
